Fellow Victorian Rec Reg, what’s your thoughts on the 24 EXC 250, just offering real good deals recently with rec reg. Has all the lights, fan etc from factory.
Hey buddy. I’m terribly sorry that I didn’t see your message! They aren’t too bad.. but you’ll be chasing power upgrades.. they don’t have any grunt.. and as far as torque goes.. this thing has heaps on tap and very easy to control.. it’s so smooth Feel free to hit me up for a ride.. I’m in Warburton ✊🏻
Hi mate. I thought about doing the exact same thing. But I was worried that it be too wild in the hard stuff. Then I found your video. I’ve just put a 2025 on order. Cheers
Good review. I did the GasGas demo day the other weekend in Victoria and the EX250 (same engine same fork) was my favourite bike by a mile. Great engine and the closed cartridge forks were so much better than the air fork on my 22 EX300. The EC (2 and four stroke) open cartridge forks were too soft and sat down in the stroke too much even in the slow stuff and I'm only 75kg. Concur with Braketec. Across the 5 models I rode they range from barely passable to absolute terrible. My bike has Brembos and they are way better. I wouldn't buy a GasGas for that reason alone. The TBI engine ran really well and is very linear. I think its absolutely the best all round bike by a mile. The four stokes are good bikes but they they have less personality that the 2 strokes which are more fun.
I love them both.. in fact I’m about to buy a 500exc to convert to a light weight adventure bike… but the 2-Strokes are just so light feeling.. they turn so quick.. I’m the type of guy that loves to ride quick into corners and rip out of them.. these are BY FAR.. the quickest point to point bike in the bush
Your Vid is a Great insight. I steered away from xc's bc I was worried it was a peaky mx platform. Do you think the new xc's are more ridable than previous incarnations? (I need a fan for the slow pivot hill and creeks).
Hi my friend.. so sorry I missed your message !! Definitely not too peaky.. they are just so incredibly linear and smooth.. it never ever surprises you with a hit of power.. it’s all about how hard you turn the throttle.. it’s such a great usable bike.. and I leave it on the green map 100% of the time I can’t fault it
I had the front and rear light installed at the shop. They custom make the wiring loom . It’s mandatory to have lights fitted to a registered motor bike in Australia. I have a switch to turn off the headlight. The rear stop and tail light is always on. It only draws 5 watts.. the headlight draws 55 watts so you can run the battery flat if you leave the front on… the stator is only 35 Watt capacity
Yes I did.. but I have a switch on the bars to turn it off.. actually.. I only run the stop and tail light 100% of the time.. otherwise it will flatten the battery in 20 mins.. With this set up.. it never effects the battery
I haven’t but here in Australia we have tracks out in the Forrest with what we call erosion controls which divert the rain water. Some of them are huge just like and MX track. It’s ballistic on the green map.. I haven’t even touched the clickers !
I’m sorry but I’m not sure where you have that information. Go to any dealer and they will all tell you that the 24TBI exc or XC-W’s in the states.. are 9 horsepower less the the XC’s 24 TBI’s. The 250XC is 56 HP and the 300 is 58 The 250XC-w is 47HP and the 300 is 49 There is only 3Nm of torque between the 250 and 300 XC as well as
I love my ktm sx125 I will NEVER sell it! They are fantastic bikes!
the exact same way about my 2024 KTM 300 XC-W...by far the best bike I've ever ridden...effortless is the best way to describe it. :)
Incredible motor hey !
my 2016 450 exc has 264 hours, still yet to be opened. Great bikes
I love the bike im so happy riding my KTM
I love my 24 KTM 250 XCW too!

Good job !! I’m so happy .. great choice !! 👌🏼
You can always go to the white map.. but I run it on the green on every ride..
@@kingdavey69 I’ve made a recent review after owning it for a few months.. it’s worth a look 👍🏽

I live in Warburton Victoria ..hit me up for a ride ✊🏻
Really sweet when you’re happy with your purchase 😎
I can’t believe how good it really is!! It makes me look forward to every Saturday.. I just can’t wait to ride it !
Absolutely beautiful 😮
Oooh thats pretty. Why did u choose 2 stroke? Im 100% 2 stroke im just wondering why you changed from 4 stroke to 2

How did you install your head light on the XC?

Is that an xcw??? It has linkage. I am confused.
I’m in Australia .. it’s the cross country bike.. I think you guys call it XCW? I think 🤔
Have you tried doing a little bit off mx on it.
If so how was it ?

Honestly the 300 xc is not much different in power than the 250 just more torque really
Wow! Ok,, it’s been a while since I rode the 300xc, but that’s really interesting to know. 🤩
@@michaelwalas5948 yeah my 24’ is pretty damn mellow even in the more aggressive map. Hoping to get some more aggression out of it with a re-map
The 2024 250 xc has 47 horsepower. The 2024 300xc has 57 hp. Tbi bikes have less power than tpi bikes
