Im 60 and my very first dirt bike ever was the 250 xc i have 180 hours on the bike and I have been very impressed.
Awesome stuff ! It’s a great bike !
This bike revalved with a MX setting that’s a little bit on the softer side, is a Grand Prix weapon.
You are spot on, I'm 55 and ride moto, single track and some hard enduro with this bike. works perfect for me! 👍
Thanks I appreciate the feedback. It’s a very versatile bike !
Fantastic vid! Been tossing up between sx and xc recently, definitely gave me some stuff to think about.
Can’t go wrong with either ! But glad I can help in some way 👍
Great points! I have a 2022 tx 300 that I bought for all the same reasons. I ride moto and woods with it!
Awesome ! The TX300 is an amazing bike as well.
How is the stalling resistance in woods and rocks?
Very good! I still have my 2013 ktm250sx and i can see no sale in the future 😀 i would love the wide gearbox and the kickstand off of the xc tho!
Thanks ! That bike is amazing , I wouldn’t sell it if I were you either.
Possibly the biggest difference now are the forks. 24 model cross country bikes don't have the air fork anymore.
This is true. But to be honest I like the versatility of the air fork for gong between motocross and off-road settings. Especially if you don’t have any suspension shops /tuners in your area which is especially the case for those of us outside the US. Can’t go wrong with either option though !
THANKFULLY Closed > Air
Would love to see your opinion on the new 300's my 2024 sx is insane you can lug that thing in 3rd
Nice ! I haven’t had a chance to try one but if I do, I’ll let you guys know !
Nice video! The xc seems way more versatile than the sx. Unfortunately is also quite a bit more expensive.
Yes the price is the downside. It really comes down to what your priorities are. The SX can be made into a great bike for off-road as well but it will cost some money to make that happen as well.
@@windsofchangehome274 Great to hear this perspective. I'm looking at the 250 SX and wondering if 1st gear is low enough for slower single track? I don't do hard enduro so not looking for that. I also don't ride moto. Mainly single track slow and fast. Thanks!
Hi! I was wondering when you're gonna do the review of the new laptop from MSI as your comment said
I’m still testing it. But it’s been great. Editing 4K media is a breeze. I’ve used it to edit several videos so far as well as regular productivity tasks and have been getting amazing battery life as well. Hope that helps.
Have you ridden the 300 xc and compared it to the 250xc.
Keen to know what you felt and why you chose the 250.
I’m about to buy one or the other !
What’s best for hare scrambles?
Definitely the XC over the SX model for hare scrambles.
You went with the xc? It sounds like you said sx at the end of the video.
The XC.
Nice, I just picked up my first bike yesterday. ‘25 250xc
@@duffyrides you clearly said you went with the SX, lol
@JoshStreetDesign did I ? Definitely went with the XC as shown in the video lol. Have a good one.
How’s the XC going for you ? Hope you’re enjoying it !
Niether...XC-W :)
The XC-W would be an amazing option as well but way too soft for fast riders in a motocross environment. If you are just focused on off-road then it would be a solid weapon of choice !
The XC is way slower. No thanks.
This would have been true years ago. Especially when you are comparing TPI to Carb and now the new TBI systems. But now that both the XC and SX share the same TBI systems the main difference for 2023 and 2024 is the gearing.
The xc is not that much slower 😂😂I’ve ridden both many times
@@matthewgarza3297 few weeks ago I rode a brand new 24 model after a full day on my 450 SXF, And I don't know if it was just that bike or what but that was a super slow bike and it felt like it had no power at all. Not even anywhere close to the realm of what my 450 has.
I’d recommend an xc to anyone who rides anything besides motocross. That’s all the sx is for motocross.
