Mick has always been in my personal top 5 of great guitarist. It really great to see John 5 honor him by playing the guitar parts the way Mick would have played them
Yep. Much respect for John 5 playing Mick's solos as written even though John could run circles around Mick on the fretboard. He's honoring Mick, not trying to replace him.

Said it before, never seen fans accept a new member into a band so readily. Think it’s because we all understood why Mick called it a day, he’d suffered enough for us an John is such a nice guy and wildly good guitarist, everyone was like, yep that’ll do for us 😀

I think Mick Marr's story is borderline heroic. I'm sad that there's bad feeling now, between him and the band. I hope that situation is resolved in a way that he can be happy with.
@@anniedarkhorse6791 Totally agree mate, he’s been through the grinder to entertain us. The real sad thing is, I’m leaning towards believing what the band have been saying about elder abuse. He’s looked pretty out of it for a few years now, he can still play but just not looked right. Hope I’m wrong, and really hope they sort it out in a room one day without bloody lawyers and spokespeople.
Vince holds out the mic and his voice continues. He's that incredible.

The last time I saw them, there was clearly a rhythm guitar track under Mick during Feelgood as he did the whammy parts. I didn’t hear one here.
You made a great move. John 5 is an amazing guitarist!!!! I saw Korn and Zombie play several years back and Mick was a special guest playing alongside John and his bright ass L.E.D guitar. So I’m anxious to see where this goes for Crüe. Can’t wait to see it live.

His vocals are part of what makes them Motley Crue, but they should've insisted on a vocal coach to help him out.
When you can't even sing half the words in the song, you have a problem.
J5 is definitely a great pick-up and Nikki and Tommy hold their own...but Vince just brings the whole show down to an almost pathetic level.

The things that stand out to me from the videos I have seen from this show so far is how much they have slowed down the tempo of the songs (which really takes away from them in my opinion) and how thin John's guitar seems to sound.
Exactly. John 5 needs a bigger sound and needs to speed it up. I bet it will get better the more the techs hear the shows and John gets more gigs with them.

you can't get any kind of idea how it really sounds through somebody's cell phone 50 yards from the stage. And let's be honest, if they sped the songs up, Vince would have a stroke trying to sing them.
Telecasters are typically thinner in tone, but make up for it in raw tone. I like J5 is playing in his sound. Making it his own but killing the parts like they should be played. Hats off to that guy. He rocks. Vince sucks vocally. Bad.

John 5 is impressive. A great pick. It’s got to be kind of intimidating to take over as the guitarist in a one-guitar band, where the entire sound is dependent on you and every mistake will be heard. But I didn’t hear any mistakes, he’s an outstanding guitarist.
He’s such a pro, it’s not a thing to him.
He was the only guitarist in Manson for a couple of albums…then his years with Rob Zombie…you can see how basic this stuff is to him.
I just hope they do some new studio stuff and he gets to write with Nikki.

Seeing John 5 play with Motley is quite surreal. Sad to see Mick gone but John 5 is an outstanding replacement. He makes it look so easy playing the Motley songs and playing guitar in general.
I'll never forget his work with Manson. He certainly deserves a lot of credit bringing out the sounds/writing/success of the Peak era of Manson.
