    True Aerosmith fans know that Brad is as important to the band as Perry.
    I was in HR bands years go and every member is crucial, like a brother.

      I also survived the 70s 80s rock scene going up/down the east coast. I was a LEAD guitarist not some rhythm guitarist hahahaha...
      And when great guitarist were a dime a dozen you became a bass player. Yeah I learned every Aerosmith song I could and Brad = what every "lead" guitarist needs. A sober, consistent ground for you to dance on and around. I didn't realize just how many lead parts were played by Brad until YT videos took off.

    • @Roger8176
      @Roger8176 2 года назад +1

      Brad is probably better than Perry. He went to Berkeley didn't he? Obviously not the showman Perry is, but he's a crucial part of the band. Some of their coolest songs are his. Nobody's Fault. His solo on Kingsv& Queens is perfect. Not so much this version, but the album version is perfect. It has a hopeless & depresed feeling (for lack of a better description) to it that matches the music perfectly.

      Chuck1960 That's a very cool and complimentary thing to say - and this most recent rendition of Rats In The Cellar is super - groovy. That being said, if you'd seen Aerosmith in the summer of '77 here in Seattle when they were touring with Jeff Beck and Rick Derringer, you'd have said the exact opposite in regards to their performance... They looked cool and that's all. I know you mean well and ... I too am so happy that this band was able to pull it together without a death or serious injury to any member.

    • @TheChuck1960
      @TheChuck1960 9 лет назад +2

      Kevin Kiso I agree that in the LATE 70's, there live shows were rough, but in the early 70's before all the hard drugs, they owned the stage as they did in the 80's, 90's and now.

    • @kevinkiso7197
      @kevinkiso7197 9 лет назад +4

      I agree... I just finished reading "Rocks," Joe's book ... Man, my friend, please believe that I'm not trying to bait you, and I don't troll for petty b-shit... But those '80's and '90's releases just do not do it for me; not like S.O.S. [Too Bad], No More No More, Combination, Nobody's Fault... Get Your Wings/Toys In The Attic and Rocks are in my opinion The Cream of the band. When Tim Collins was [mis]managing them there were so many song crafts-people like Desmond Child, fuck... I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing, Amazing, Cryin', all that stuff is just such shit! I'm sorry... I hate to say that... Peace friend.

    • @jackredemption8090
      @jackredemption8090 9 лет назад +4

      +Kevin Kiso You speak the truth brother, I grew up falling asleep to Aerosmith as a toddler, And Rocks , Draw the line, Toys in the attic were all cassettes I bought and wore out as a teenager. You gotta give Joe and Brad credit for showing up at the sessions in the late eighties and nineties with thier guitars blaring out the old tried and true heavy ass riffs, Only to have those riffs lowered in the mix. Love in an elevator was very heavy before the studio hacks toned it down.

    fuggen real Aerosmith, fugg all that bubble gum shyt, guys gotta pay some bills but grief already, rock this shyt ... fuggen Smith, Toys and Wings were 3 of the best albums ever created, PERIOD
    AND THEN CAME ROCKS AND HOLY POTATO SALAD WHO ARE THESE GUYS? may as well make it 4 right? combination are you fookin kidding me? you could argue 4 of the best all time albums are by the same band, smith toys wings rocks .. just unreal, I mean that's right up there with ANY band you wanna name, Beatles, Stones, Zeppelin, Who, Bad Co, any of them, they're catalog is huge but the first 4 every single fuggen song was a revelation and awakening .. I mean when you look at the Beatles discography they have a lot of good song's perhaps the most, but they have a boatload of albums as well, and not every song is good on every album, can you string together 4 albums back to back to back to back where every song is freekin life changing blessed rock and roll?
    no you can't, I am not even sure Zellepin gets there do they? subjective I suppose but those 4 Aero albums are not subjective, they are unequivocally 4 albums where every song is just as good if not better than the last, period... look at em, listen of you have to, I already know I wore grooves and stretched a lot of tape to enter this conclusion, same for Zep, Beetles all of em... OK Zep has 6 back to back to back to back to back to back albums where every song is good, but two are compilations so realistically FOUR! Beatles do not even have 3 you can string together where every song is good, they didn't go compact they strung it out as a business move to sell more albums, worked, made em shiploads of money, they do have 4 albums worth so I put em in that class, bad Co has 3 solid albums but enough to make 4.. there are others I'm not doing all the math jest sayin Aerosmith is at the very very top if not the top! OK they share it with Zeppelin then.. its not just quantity its quality as well, were talking boot to ass pure rock and roll, no hanky panky or ice cream in between like the liverpool boys give ya, unadulterated hard core XXX rock and roll... the shty that made Divinci get up and dance with Einstein!
