Playing Micks riffs and exact solo’s, only going off on jam sections is mad respectful to Mick, the songs, and the fans. Props to John 5
Agreed 100%. I was really curious how that was going to go.
John 5 looks a little cautious and restrained, but he's doing fine. It might take more than a few shows to catch a nice groove and to play off the rhythm section... He seems to be following their the lead on the songs I've seen. Very respectful indeed.
John 5 has been a fan boy of Mick for a long time. Guaranteed he is ready for this.
Agreed and had he tried changing them up would've been a mistake. Mars' solos are distinct and he will be missed for sure. Perfect replacement in John 5. Just not sure how long he'll stay with them although I would like to see some new music with his influence to Niki's songs.....
John is doing what he does best filling in for a great guitarist
He didn’t change anything when he filled in for Manson or zombie he knows his role
Tommy, Nikki, John all sound fantastic! Hats off to Vince though. Dude's able to make it through an entire show while clearly having a stroke.

Mötley Crüe forever.. I've seen Mötley live 6 times, earliest was 1983.. But it's always the same thing when you're watching the videos Vince this Vince that.. Live when you're there it doesn't matter because the energy is freaking amazing.. Crüe puts on a fantastic f****** show.
John 5 sounds good and Tommy still has to be one of the hardest hitting drummers. Vince on the other hand I have no words

If you want to here the songs perfect go listen on CD 💿 but seeing them live is an experience 😮never to be matched or forgotten

You won't regret it. I've seen him twice with Rob Zombie and twice on solo tours. He just straight up rips when he's onstage with his own band.
He is literally one of the NICEST and talented people you will ever meet. His playing is tame compared to performing with Rob Zombie. If you can, see John5 & the Creatures. The man is insane. ABSOLUTELY NO VOCALS NEEDED.

Seen John 5 on a solo tour opening for Queensryche and I can say with 1000% certainty that 5 blew Queensryche away and clearly shoulda headlined. No vocals and had the crowd jumping. The air left the venue during Queensryche.

How does John 5 seem to be able to replicate his guitar tones with such precision to the albums of everything he does? Incredible.
It helps that John 5 was a fan...he was posting videos practicing Motley Crue stuff months ago and was dedicated to learning it "Mick's way." It sounds awesome. He even asked Mick about his specific set ups and it shows.

I’m just going to remember Motley for what they were in the 80’s! I still enjoy listening to Shout, Motley, Girls, Theatre, Feelgood, but I just can’t handle their live shows today. Vince just flat out stinks on ice! Love John 5 and the rest of the boys!
Especially when you can tell they are using backing tracks for the chorus vocals. Vices "early" voice is so clear on them and its sounds just like the LP vocals

John looks like the riffs barely merit any attention they're so easy for a player of his skill.... Still something about Mick's style is missing here. John's articulation of the riff's is almost too clean and clear. Not quite the Mars tone either but just watching John enjoy himself is enjoyable too.
Thanks for sharing! As a long time Mick Mars fan, I like John 5 and he's doing great! Vince actually looks a bit healthier and his voice is a bit better from the live footage I've seen the last nine years!

Good to see Primal Scream is still in the rotation. I think it's top 10 Crue. Mad props to John for playing Mick note for note. He respects the hell out of his elders. If you've seen the youtube clips of his covers during his live act, you know what I mean.

What's great about John 5 is that he isn't some huge ego that has to show everyone how great he is. He is actually showing it by replicating perfectly the sounds that we have come to know and love. Dude can literally play anything and that is probably the coolest thing.

5 can play those riffs in his sleep and he does an awesome job but it doesnt have that roar and feel that Mick brings to the songs. They are 2 totally different guitar players so i wouldnt expect a 1 to 1 reproduction of Micks playing. Still an awesome job!!!

I see people making negative comments about the band and mostly Vince..if you want old motley..go watch old videos... Guy is 60 yrs old and it's not as bad as it was a few years ago...b glad they are still playing....y being positive and not putting people down for trying...Be good it's not that hard once you get going...👍
