Just ordered a FC11 4000k LH351D, a FC13 6000k XHP 50.2, and another FC13 with SFT 40 6000k. And a HO5b headlamp. Paid $95 total for all that, ordering straight from their site.
@@DarrenYeoYT Yea, I’m really excited. I live in Arizona, and I walk my dogs every day/night. Flashlights are essential for night walks in the desert. I got the 4000 k fc11, in hopes the softer 4000 k, will illuminate snakes better. While the purpose of the fc13 6000k XHP 50.2, will be to scare away coyotes and javelina. With the massive brightness and floodlight style. And I had to get a fc13 with sft 40. Because I figured that would make the snakes colors stand out more since it’s softer then the XHP 50.2 version. I was very surprised the see prices straight from site, we’re actually better then Amazon. But I can’t believe I got all this for just under $100.
I have used the FC12 for a while on many night shifts. I had 2x, gave one to a friend. Problem for me was the port cover which just did not survive reholstering. Other than that a great inexpensive tactical light. Hovever, it is surpassed in many ways by the SC32 which is more an allrounder though.
Yeah, these port covers always seem to be a weak point. An alternative is putting it underneath the bezel (unscrewable) or maybe using another design.. rubber port covers seem the most economical option.
@@DarrenYeoYT Crikey, I can't even hide from Melbourne's Ripper Torchmeister any more. 🔦😔 I think this was the very episode that implanted that idea into my subconscious to get the FC11c, FC12 and both versions of the FC13. I'm still stumped why the Sofirn SC28 and the Wurkkos TD05 are missing from your personal collection, mate. Psst..the TD05 has the SFT40! 😈
I'm very sad the FC13 is being discontinued. The larger diameter meant it felt better in hand, the button was large and easier to find that most, the FC13S was a model I could gift to family without hesitation, multiple emitter options. I hope there's something coming that fits into the same size/package.
I agree. I must say I was fortunate to be able to buy both versions of the FC13 (SFT40 & XHP50B) and later the 6500K FC13s before all of them went out of production. The FC13s is really of great value for the money as the XHP50.2 was usually reserved for Wurkkos models costing over US$35. The company is still selling the FC11 and FC12 models though, which makes me wonder if Wurkkos' decision to drop the FC13 series was due to lack of consumer interest. 🔦😐
The new FC11C looks pretty good, especially with the 519a emitter. It seems to be available only in black or blue, with a 5K CCT, at this point. Hopefully more colors and CCTs will be available later.
@@DarrenYeoYT Yes, according to the specs I saw it has a Buck driver. They have the limited edition blue one on sale for just $22 US on the Wurkkos site. I bought the gold WK03 on Amazon today for $20, possibly also a limited edition. It also has a 519a emitter and a Buck PWM circuit.
I built a custom FC13 that does just that. I added an FC12 tailcap and flashed an edited Werner firmware to the the light. Now it comes on in Turbo switch, but low if you hold the side and click the tail. Ultimately, an anduril FC12 would be the perfect combination
Thanks mate, I don't mind the simple UI for tactical lights :) but it does get annoying to select the lower modes on the FC12 as I set it to turbo from the tail switch.

Hello Darren I would like to ask you is it possible to use the shortened tube (18350) for FC12, because it would've been kinda cool if you can carry that FC12 with double switch in a shorter form, much more better for an EDC light. Thanks Darren!
Hi there, that'd be a great present - one of my favourite tactical lights. UI is basic, you press and hold the side switch to ramp up and down. Tailswitch goes right to turbo on momentary!
Great breakdown. The extra bits like the strobe, etc. may give a better comparison. The fc12 can work as a great defense with a pretty quick and blinding strobe. Really enjoyed the video thou. Thanks!❤
thank you for your reply. Apparently there is no need to replace it with the new fc12. I like fc12 and mh12se now. It's the perfect balance between tactical and everyday usability. Looking forward to the next video!
@@janflores4211 cheers Jan, the other two are floodier lights but the FC12 has high candela, longer distance. Could be used for self defence scenarios.
@@janflores4211 No. The TS11 will throw further than these 3 torches. Maybe wont last as long with its smaller 18350 tube and battery, but it is Anduril 2 and a little beast. TS11 is fantastic, get an FC11 as well so you can swap the 18650 tube and batteries for the best of both worlds! TS11 with longer runtimes and a tiny FC11. Cool.

I ordered a bag of about 30 USB-C covers from Amazon so when one fails on a light, I always have a couple of spares with me. Very inexpensive.

I'm sure Wurkkos will come up with some better options in time. It's a nice light but I'd prefer a simple UI.

Do you have the 18350 tube for the FC12 ? With a good molicell it's a real tiny beast, one of my very favourite lights

Thanks Graham, apparently they've changed the UI of this light in the newest model so it has access to turbo all the time in momentary.
Do you know if the Pocket clip of the FC12 or FC13 fit the FC11?
I don't have it with me right now but yes it should fit. But the friction ring is thinner and won't attach as firmly as the stock one.
