Hi Maria Weingärtner!
We will definitely try to swatch any future lipstick tutorials on the skin so you can see them! Thanks so much for the suggestion. You can also make your own custom shade that works perfectly for your skin. =)
Hi.. Thank you.. This video is super helpful.. I tried the recipe and LOVED it! I have a question, how do i make a matte lipstick?
I love it
@@himala11 To make any color matte you add a bit of bentonite clay.
Hi Lily Lambert!
You can definitely use beeswax in this recipe if you like. Beeswax is harder than soy and candelilla wax, so your lipsticks will have a firmer consistency. You may want to make a small test batch to check that consistency. If you want it a little softer, you can add more jojoba oil. =)

Who else watches loads of diy's and never actually does them?

This has to be my favorite. Found you yesterday and I've binged most of the day on your videos. Didn't know anything about Brambleberry or it's existence. So psyched to try this DIY....
you should have swatched the lipsticks so we can see how they go on the lips
That is a great suggestion. Sorry for not swatching the colors. We'll definitely keep that in mind for future lipstick projects. =)
I swear, I love you and your videos they are amazing.

Hi Elizabeth Irene!
It can get a bit messy when you're pouring! The great thing is you can use a spatula to scrape off any excess lipstick. =)

Diana Diaz You're welcome, so glad you like it Diana! =)
Great video ann but can I suggest for your next video make an ombré soap that would be awesome thanks
Great video!
Can this be filled in a regular lipstick mold/container as well or did you use a lipbalm container because it is softer and "stickier" due to the nature of the natural ingredients used? Thanks
Thanks for sharing! Can I add liquid pigment instead of powder form?
Lovely! What colour were you using on your lips in this video? It would have been nice to see you at least apply one of them, even on your hand so that we could actually SEE if they were any good and not just take your word for it. Thanks.
Hi there! Thanks for the great suggestion. I will keep this in mind for the next cosmetic video!
Hi! Quick question. Instead of the ecosoya wax may I use beeswax pellets? If I can, would I use the same amount as you used the ecosoya wax? Also, which essential oils are ok to be added for a better smell?
how do you add/use the mica's in your lip balms so they do not feel scratchy to your lips? I have done them numerous ways and have yet to find a way to disperse/dissolve them in the homemade lip balm base I make so they do not feel scratchy when applying them to your lips. Please let me know. Thanks! love your videos!
Do u ship to the uk from your website at all. Looking for those colours your talking about as can’t find them
Hey love your tutorials! I was just wondering if you had a recipe for Matte Liquid Lipstick. A lipstick that I can put into a container with a wand like lipgloss, but has the deep color and staying power of lipstick. Thanks!
Jessica Clement So glad you love the tutorials Jessica!
We have several awesome lipstick tutorials, but they do have a glossy finish rather than a matte finish. We also have a great lip gloss tutorial, but it has a glossy finish as well.
We have been experimenting with a lot of makeup tutorials recently, so we will keep a matte liquid lipstick in mind! If we find a combination we love we'll keep a tutorial in mind. =)

Very nice video.. i love it...
Thank you!
Can u plz make a video on how to make lip gloss other than that ur wonderful thanks bye
You didn't even show swatches of what the colors look like when applied in the skin or lips. Wth.
Hi there! Sorry that we did not include that in the video. I will keep it in mind for next time! =)
+Gracie Johnston chill lol
How can I know how good they are if you don't show the result on the skin?
I'm new at all this - what do you use to measure out the ingredients?
I hope that you have that products in the Philippines
Hi... Could we replace miceowave with double boiler? Thank's.
Hi. What can I sub for ecosoya?? Can use shea butter instead?
I know this post is old but can we substitute ecosoya wax for something if so what do you recommend. Thanks.
i like thia
Miszz Nina Thank you so much, glad to hear that. =)
love the video! Will you post a swatch?
Thanks for the suggestion, that's definitely something we will look into including!
I don't think it will be hard enough for a lipstick container. You might need to add more waxes or hard butters to the recipe to make it work in that sort of container.
Nice video, can I use beeswax and cocoa wax instead of wax u used?
Are these very opaque? 😍
Can use cranuaba wax or beeswax instead of ecosoya wax ?
Can you make a soap Ring or a soap for the neck?
On the Bramble Berry website the Ecosoya wax is unavailable. What do I do?
Thanks ma for sharing his video😘😘😘😘
Pls ma questions are:
Can I use edible food colouring?
Cant emulsifying wax and beeswax be used in this production?
I will appreciate if questions are given prompt response.
Love u😍😍😍😍
Aloha!
Do you add the amount of color you use in your formulation?
Hey dear is the mica all natural?
What if I use a single burner? At what temperature do I melt it at?
Can I also use a double boiler instead of a microwave oven?
How much Splenda (or sweetener) would you use in a large batch?
Can i change the candellila wax with beeswax?
Can it be used for selling and what is the expiry date?
Is there a sub for ecosoya?
I wanna see how to make the rainbow soap In the back! It's awesome
I love that soap too! I did a tutorial on my blog here: www.soapqueen.com/bath-and-body-tutorials/cold-process-soap/rainbow-squirty-swirls/
Make a bubble gum flavor lip blam
Can I use as a simple lipbalm without adding colours
Can I use food coloring in my lipstick?
Hi, recently I purchase Lip balm base 16oz ( comes as a plastic bag) , i wonder if i can melt the whole bag and using just a little bit of it ? :) i mean can i re melted it several time??:)
Rere A yes
but if u wanna make lipstick from lipbalm base then add oil to soften in more so it will gives a more soft velvet lipstick feel, not a hard lipbalm feel
hye soap queen. may you please show us diy lip matte in lip gloss container? thank you =)
I'd like to make a lip balm for a friend, but she's alergic to soy. What do you suggest to substitute for the soy wax?
Where did you get the tubes
could you please provide the link on how to clean up the mess?
I loved the video
How many grams of pigment do you use for 1 lipstick 5 taps?
I just find you and I watched the bath bomb cupcake tutorial, and I wonder if you can show us(in a video) how it works in water.
Thanks!
*thow cupcake in water* *cupcake dissolves* the end.
I love your videos! sorry for the question, but I didn't understand if the wax you used was the same that women use for shaving? xD
Hi Sue-Allisson!
Candelilla wax is a vegetable wax that adds gloss and slip to this recipe, and EcoSoya wax is a vegetable wax that adds some smoothness to the recipe. We love using both. =)
Candelilla wax: www.brambleberry.com/Candelilla-Wax-P4207.aspx
EcoSoya Advanced Wax: www.brambleberry.com/EcoSoya-Advanced-Soy-Wax-P4698.aspx
Hi! I just need to buy the chia oil and the ecosoy wax from your site to make this recipe. Can you please tell how is the consistence of the lipstick? I want to make them to add it to my makeup line and worry about shipping in summer. I really wish you had swatches on your hand! :) I have my own recipe but even though I like it I am not 100% satisfied just yet! Thanks!
Hello!
Because this recipe has EcoSoya Wax and Candelilla Wax, which are both softer waxes, this recipe makes soft and silky lipstick. It will be softer than a lipstick recipe using beeswax and coconut oil.
Also, thanks for the suggestion about doing swatches on my hand! These colors are bright and bold, if that helps you at all. =)
Are there any replacement items for the ecosoya and the chia seed oil??
Jacqueline Hope Hi there!
You can substitute chia seed oil with another lightweight moisturizing oil, like avocado or sweet almond oil. =)
Avocado oil: www.brambleberry.com/Avocado-Oil-P3198.aspx
Sweet almond oil: www.brambleberry.com/Sweet-Almond-Oil-P3205.aspx
You can also substitute the wax, but keep in mind that will change the texture of the recipe. EcoSoya Wax gives the lipstick a soft, spreadable texture. You can leave it out and just use candelilla wax if you like. You may want to make a small test batch to check the final consistency!
Can I use beeswax instead?
can you make a liquid lipstick ?
Can u do mascara.
try a luxury chocolate mask and lip scrub also a body wash bar
Thanks for the great suggestions!

I use a metal mold for making lipstick bullets, however creamy in texture my lipstick is, my bullets are cracked on the outer surface when I remove them from the mold. Any suggestions why this happens??? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
i wish you'd shown how the colours actually looked when applied
you shouldve done a swatch test
Hi there, thanks for the suggestion!
hi !!! while shopping i saw an all natural mango and papaya body scrub but it was really expensive , do u thnk u could figure out a recipe for it?? sorry if this is a dumb question
Yes, you could. Read the ingredients. Google. Most scrubs are salt or sugar based, so it's not too hard.
Great video! I'm excited to make some lipstick. My only question is...I'm allergic to soy, what other kind of wax can I use instead of a soy based wax? TFS!
Hi there! If allergic to soy, you can use just Candellila Wax =). While this will effect the texture a bit, I think you'd still be happy with the end result!
hi Anne marie : Floral glow

White Plastic Bottle w/ Aluminum Collar $0.00
INGREDIENTS
Violet 5%, Carnation 5%, Hyacinth 5%, Honeysuckle 5%, Sweet Pea 5%, Chamomile 75%,
Are only specific mica's safe to use on the lips? what about oxides? and how do you tell which mica's are safe to use? Thanks.
Hi there! You can find a list of lip safe colorants in the link below =)
www.brambleberry.com/Webpage.aspx?WebpageId=37
Instead of candelilla wax can I use beeswax?? Also, instead of the ecosoya stuff can I use shad butter??
Jacqueline Hope You can use beeswax in this recipe, but keep in mind beeswax is more firm. Shea butter is also a little more firm than EcoSoya wax. I would recommend making a small test batch to check the final consistency. =)
Beeswax: www.brambleberry.com/Beeswax-White-P4211.aspx
Shea butter: www.brambleberry.com/Shea-Butter-P3220.aspx
Yes I THINK u can use beeswax. But I don't know about the other thing
Hello! Is it possible to make a lipstick without using any type of wax? Using shea butter perhaps?
It is possible, but the lip balm will be soft. If you'd like to not use any wax, I would recommend including a firm butter in the recipe like cocoa butter. =)
How much for the color?
omg u r so beautiful
Just mix Vaseline and crayon colors of your choice on a double boiler. Super easy and nontoxic.
sara richmond Hi Sara!
We don't recommend using Crayons, as they haven't been approved for use in cosmetics. You can read their official statement on that here: www.crayola.com/faq/safetymsds/is-it-safe-to-use-crayola-crayons-to-make-lipstick/
You can use leftover lipstick to color the balm if you like though! =)
Please please please do a short on cleaning that darn filling tray! I tend not to use mine because it is so darned hard to get clean!
Hi Heather! It can be a little tricky to clean. I find that soaking it works well. Thanks for the suggestion!

Hey! I wanna start a beauty guru channel when I get my camera and laptop to do videos with my friends and myself and I would like to know how can I find those empty containers for lip balm and lipstick because I already started making some of my own lipsticks! 😇
Hello!
You can find these tubes at brambleberry.com! Have fun making your lipsticks. =)
Clear Lip Balm Tubes: www.brambleberry.com/Clear-Lip-Balm-Tubes-P4750.aspx
What ingredients would you add to make this a matte lipstick? I am also doing a lot of trial and error! :)
We've done some testing as well and haven't found a matte formula. Sorry about that! Any oils added to the recipe will have a natural sheen to them. You can add a tiny pinch of titanium dioxide if you like though! That helps make the color a bit less sheer. =)
Titanium dioxide: www.brambleberry.com/Titanium-Dioxide-Pigment-P4040.aspx

(first of all, sorry for my english)
please answer:
1. is this matte of glossy lipstick
2. how long will it last
3. can i subsitube those wax with beewax and how much should i use?
+glasses girl Hi there!
This lipstick has a lovely glossy/satin finish. It lasts several hours on the lips, but will transfer onto a cup or if you eat food. Also, you can use beeswax. It is a harder wax, so it will make the lipstick harder overall. I would recommend dipping a cold spoon in the mixture while you're making it. That will make it harden instantly so you can check the consistency. If you want it softer, you can add more jojoba oil. =)
