Im sure you all thought we had disappeared off the face of the earth! Im not surprised to be honest its been nearly 5 months. Well we haven’t disappeared but its fair to say this video has tested me in so many ways, whilst learning a ton. Hell bent on trying to bring you something you haven’t seen before has been a challenge but hopefully worth it if you all enjoy it.
I can assure you there wont be as long a wait till the next one…. We hope.

The history part was amazing to see, short and snappy clips, packed with information, and it was extremely engaging to watch 👍
As for the caravan tour, personal choice but Swift isn’t a brand for us, however, your cinematic video even made the caravan shine like a shiny glitter ball that you just want to touch, and we are sure that the Swift group will be impressed with this as well 👌👍

Caravans are heavier than the older models - also there are fewer makers and less to choose from -
Really? I’ll be honest I thought it would have been the other way round with lighter materials being used but I suppose Modern caravans are also bigger. Thankyou for watching and commenting. Appreciated.
Older vans had less in them a bit like cars new ones are heavier and same with caravans so a 16ft tourer would in old money weigh in at 16.5 cwt modern around 21cwt unladen !!!! but GRP end panels are heavier plus also stronger than ABS. Al U tech well its all been tried before - I reckon my book caravanning in the 1970's may be of interest and the Story of the Toring Caravan too- cheers Rob for getting back
That makes a lot of sense actually. I honestly would have though GRP weighed less that the old timber frames but everydays a school days as they say. I certainly didn’t think there was as much of a difference in weight. You know what I’d love to read that book. I shall head over to Amazon. I’d enjoy that read. Thank you Andy.
Rob - thank you and by the way liked the BW pix you put into colour - very effective - this industry is so complex and the different construction used over the years too GRP as far back as 1955 expensive and heavy back then - but Hull area a very hive of activity in the 60's/70's lots of history! Please let me know what you think of the book after you have read it - always good to hear Rob
