It is yes. But in my opinion not only worth it but a must if you have any niggle about nice audio.
Brilliant video, thank you. I have two SafeFill bottles the 7.5 and 10 Kg for my touring caravan. I use the smaller bottle during the Summer primarily for BBQs and to get the fridge cold quicker on gas. I use the larger bottle in the Winter especially since electricity prices have risen drastically and many sites are now on metered electricity. I always check with the garage before filling my SafeFill to avoid any difficulties. I had an interesting conversation with the manager of one place when I asked if it was okay to fill my bottle. They said that they are told to turn a blind eye to travellers who illegally fill Calor bottles so why should I stop you! I've never had any problem filling my SafeFill in France either, I just bought a set of adapters.
wow. Turning a blind eye! The thing is the manager still likely didn't realise that by you filling up the nsafefill he didn't need to turn a blind eye. It's perfectly safe unlike the others ha ha. Thanks for commenting
I just bought one and got a 37 mbar propane regulator, which has a rubber gromit on it. This seems to stop it screwing in all the way. I am wondering if it is safe to use, or i need a different type of regulator. Safefill website just says POL wheel type.
I can't see why you would have an issue, unless its just a slightly longer thread so it appears its not screwing in all the way as long as the the barrel screwed in nice and easy its likely perfect fitted, don't forget you can slightly open the valve to allow excess liquid gas to travel back into the container as explained in the video.
That's a great tip I'm going to get me a piece of wood or similar to carry in the motorhome thanks for sharing

It's worth mentioning that calor gas is not available in the eu,so if you are doing an extended trip abroad get eu adaptors so you can manage with just one bottle
Ha ha. I am In France right now. Guess what I forgot!!! I even knew about the fact I needed one. Though thankfully I won’t need it as I’m Not consuming enough Gas on this trip. Thankfully. lol.
Thanks for that handy tip. We’ve just bought a nearly new (11 month old Swift Sunrise 580). We’re not expecting any major issues with the Swift, but I’m guessing this sort of thing could happen at any time. Had I not seen your video, and experienced the same thing that happened to you, then we would have assumed that we would have needed a new toilet cassette. Thanks again…I’ve now subscribed! 😃

Change your gas bottle to a safefill you fill up as and when needed bottle expensive to start but costs about 10 to 15 quid to fill up.

Just take a 5 day cooler, I fill large lunchboxes with water and freeze them into giant ice cubes, then throw all your cans of beer in there and you have cold beer all week, this year will be my 10th, tried and tested

Great video, love the editing, really captured what it's about. We hire a campervan when we go and use the fridge with gas, works a treat. Shame you haven't got tickets this year, we were somehow lucky enough to get some again!

Unfortunately after buying a Safefill bottle I've found they wont fit in a Buccaneer Barracuda front locker! Can't say if this applies to other Buccaneer models? :)
Oh no! That’s surprising as I wouldn’t expect the locker to be smaller than a Swift did you get the 7kg bottle?
Yes I did, the Buccaneers locker is only approx 280mm deep, all the Safefill bottles are approx 310mm. Never occurred to me to measure first as I'd seen so many Vids of peeps having no issues installing in front lockers! 😮
We're can you get the pig tails to change from calor connections
Not too sure what you mean? The same pigtail used for your calor would work with the Safefill. I believe it’s a 5/8 BSP fitting. Thanks for watching.
Not seen this come apart like this, but I've experienced seal failure, sticking float level and various failed electronics boards. You can actually use the sliding door reversed as the Lever if you have no wood the correct size.
Yeah I think I will make videos on these in th future and your right. I made a short which can be seen on my channel when a few people told me about the sliding cover. Cheers.

What a fab video, I had a similar issue when getting our motorhome prepped for an upcoming holiday. You’ve saved me the cost of a new cassette at £140. Love the fact that you don’t waffle on like a lot of people do, straight to the issue and how to fix it. Many thanks 😊

How do I fix it if it’s happened in position in the van and I cannot remove the cassette from the toilet?
So the only thing that will stop it coming out is the that the little orange knob on the top of the cassette is facing the right direction for it to be removed. Have you tried opening and closing using the slider on your toilet to make sure that is closed properly. As this issue although it would prevent your cassette for being put in your toilet, it’s shouldn’t prevent it from being removed.
By far the best video review of safefill I've seen. Just clear information, allowing the viewer to decide what's right for them. Well done!

Great video mate. Whats the situation with food vendors on the campsite itself before entering festival? And how long does your water last for the shower?
Yeah there is a vendor at the top of the hill before you descend into the entrance to the festival. I don’t think there’s any after that point. But it’s a good place to go before heading in as they are busier. But the food was really good everywhere! So there was 4 of us in the van and we could get showered on one aquaroll. That was quick rinse. Turn it off. Lather up, rinse off. Done. So sparingly. Hope that helps.

Great video. Pretty much my experience too. I usually take a spare leisure battery that I keep in the back of the car. I use it to charge up phone power banks. I’ll be there this year after a six year absence. Can’t wait. 👍👍👍
That’s a great idea. I actually had a little lithium battery which charges off a solar panel. But because I only used it for my camera batteries I didn’t mention it as it wouldn’t have affected anything else.
Great video, I went for the first time in 2005, caught the bug and haven't missed one since. Have worked the last 5 so normally onsight for 11 or 12 days in a campervan. Spot on with your tips and advice.

I’ve had my two 7.5 kg safefill cylinders for five years now and being seasonal has saved me a fortune over that time compared to calor. Your video has really helped me to understand the workings of the safefill bottles .I’ve noticed when I connect refilled cylinder it’s hard to connect pigtail, now your video explains why this happens due to the trapped liquid,once you open valve slightly it releases pressure and pigtail screws home. I wondered why this happened and now I know. Thanks for the informant video.

Owners of Autogas (LPG) converted classics and modern classics will have a harder time filling up within the next two years as the Motor Fuels Group announces it is to phase out all its LPG pumps by 2024.26 May 2022
If you turn the removable flap round it acts as a tool. You won't need the wood.
