Hey Mike, yes I love the active exhaust also it’s great. I didn’t know about the back seats, thinking about it it makes a lot of sense. Great vlog very informative. And yes there is no draft or noice in the cab. They really did a good job.

Thank you for another awesome video, thumbs up Mike! I agree about the active exhaust, on my new convertible.

And thank you for the thumbs up,
SpeedyWinds! I don't want to make hardtop owners jealous, but I think the convertible enhances the sound of the active exhaust even more!

Hi mike, I have a 2015 convertible gt. The seats do not fold down. But that’s ok , I think between the trunk and the back seat there’s plenty of room for store everything you need for a week long trip.

Hi Lj Sites - I've pretty much come to the conclusion that Mustang convertibles don't have a fold-down rear seat for security reasons. I'll be testing the storage this fall when I hopefully will take the car on a week long vacation. Can't wait!

I remember the first time I rented a Mustang convertible... I misplaced then realized I locked the key fob in the trunk. I knew it couldn't be too far as I was able to start the car. I panicked when I couldn't figure out how to open the trunk as I wasn't able to locate the lever to open it from the inside.(I eventually found it and opened the trunk). All this to say I too wasn't able to locate a lever to flip the back seat forward. Like you, I also believe the convertible isn't equipped with that feature and it is most likely only available on the harp top model. It is pointless in the convertible anyway as the folded soft top occupies a large chunk of room immediately behind the back seat. The opening would be probably too low anyway to slip in a pair of skis or 8 foot long 2x4s through it.

Marc Perras - You got me thinking... Convertibles probably don't have the fold down rear seat because they don't want people accessing the trunk through the passenger compartment. In a hard top it's a different story because you can keep people out more easily. Ford would need to re-think the release latch so it's only accessible from within the trunk, which is not that difficult a task, IMO.
On my car the seat backs make an appreciably tall back wall to the trunk, enough to easily pass skis, lumber or whatever through. I.e. the space wasted to hold the top is not that tall. So I do think a fold-down feature would be helpful. Maybe in the 2021's.

Hi Mike, Have you noticed the active exhaust goes back to ‘normal mode’ when you restart the car? Have you found a way to have the car start in the last set exhaust mode?

Hi SherriT3105 - Yes, I've noticed that and tried to find a way in the instruction manual to 'save last mode used'. (Similar to the car resetting to the Normal drive mode, not just normal exhaust.) The only setting I found that lets you alter the exhaust sound startup mode is the 'good neighbor' setting, which lets you choose the time range to start in quiet mode.
Maybe they do this to encourage people to be law-abiding? Keep people from defaulting to Track mode? The owner's manual expressly says: "The Track exhaust mode setting is only for use at tracks and not for use on public roadways. Use of this setting results in increased exterior noise, which may not meet state and local laws and regulations. It is the obligation of the driver to operate the vehicle in a manner that complies with state and local requirements."

This person in the video seems to not know about the typewriter tick he will hear after he gets his first oil change. And he does not know about the broken shift forks for the 3-4 gears. Youre in for a pleasant surprise my friend if you shift from 2 to 3 faster than 2 seconds. Nice car but theres people here afraid to buy a 2018 or 2019 due to the typewriter tick.
