The Armory-R1 is definitely solidly built with carbon fiber tubes and injection molding. That thing should be durable and last. Bret is a great guy to boot! Great video as always Jay!
Hey, so I currently have those small haptic pistols you showed at the start, and for some reason when I put and lock the controllers into them the trigger aims up and to the right a little. It might be because I had to remove the battery cover when I use them because I have the rechargeable battery cover but I was just wondering if the trigger aims perfectly straight in VR for you.
If it's something you'd be interested in, I have the wield vr onestock. I don't use it and if you wanted to check it out for a potential video, I could send it to you.
@ no problem!!! Opening products with a katana sword …. classic lol … the Protube shoulder kickback is great but it takes a lot of muscle memory to get it right …
honestly , after spending hundreds of dollars on these stocks. ive found a 3d print that's less than 5 bucks that works better than any other ive paid for . its almost defeating . i cant say ive tried all these but by the way they look its the same idea here .
I got the wield vr and didn't like that one much but then got the kobra vr one and that was actually a game changer for me. Both of which are expensive though.
Still, the best gunstock, is the virtual gunstock. Specially when throwing grenades, reloading and any other actions which requires using both hands for two different actions.
I wish I could find one that would allow my to keep my AMVR silicone grips on my controllers. Like you said, it's too big of a pain to take them off, dig out the old battery covers, take the batteries out to get the strap out from under them just to have to do all that again in reverse when I'm done. Sometimes I have 10-15 minutes to play a quick round and that is just too much hassle.
I have a MrTass AMVR QuickAim version in my shop that works with AMVR Grips. Gives you a bar extending from the main hand which allows you to physically have a link between the two controllers.
I love those Appexino haptic gun stocks YOU made me buy…..makes Pistol Whip even more fun, although they are very front heavy. I find that no matter what gunstock I use, there is always one or another problem….so I stick to playing sports games! Lol
I'm getting up there in age My hands aren't exactly steady anymore I need the three points Jay was talking about. I have one now. It's just falling apart and I have to order specialty parts from Etsy for my controllers. I have a 3D printer but can't find any files for pro controllers for my magnetic gun stock.
@UFJoy ive paid for them and made a homemade one, the custom built home made was the best in my opinion 👌 but after hundreds of dollars and hours of time I have come to the conclusion that the invisible gun is best.

@@jaybratt that is as good a comment as any could expect from you for a Gunstock. ;)
It also can do pump action if you keep the front knob loose

@GroBoyYT I think it aims straight but yeah a battery door missing could mess it up. Can you swap to og doors?
@ Yes, I’ll try that. (Thanks for the quick response)
@@jaybratt Even with the original battery covers it still has the same issue.
Was the gunstock manufactured wrong for me?
How hard would it be to throw a grenade with that attached to the controller?

The tomahawk and butcher gun stocks are unique in their own way. You should definitely try and get a review of them.
Thanks for the info great video

Gunstocks suck, its best just to make a homemade one or get that sweet haptic one. Its not very competitive but real fun especially for games like RE4
I disagree. Gunstocks can be extremely useful if done right and not getting in the way, but enhancing. A little muscle memory also goes a long way.
@MrTasselhof they all get in the way and slow you down, it's not good for competitive play. The emersion is great but I rather be deadly then emersed
