I love the intelligence of this channel. I am a student of astrology, recently very intrigued by astrological magic. The Prononciation is : ghaayat al-Hakim, in Arabic it is written : غاية الحكيم, could be translated as : The purpose of the wise The way of the wise Or The seeking of the wise. Or The journey of the wise. Hikma (حكمة) means : wisdom, also in Hebrew (chokmah) the Sephiroth of wisdom.

I had a randomly inspired moment late last night while working with the New Moon and the Tarot where I "discovered" the Picatrix and absorbed the introductions and first 4 chapters like I'd read this text before. Now this morning I find this video which I'm thoroughly enjoying and I NOTICE THE DATE IT WAS PUBLISHED! I'm in shock and so close to tears! What an uncanny coincidence!! I like to think the chart knows us better than we know ourselves but when it comes to our free will of course we can always force or actualize things that can backfire on us later because of hastiness. Patience plays a factor in what is meant to be unperceivable.
Where did you learn these things about Joseph Smith?!?! My family has been Mormon since practically the beginning. They literally were Pioneers who helped settle the state of Utah. I've always thought it was funny that even though I was raised around the church and I come from a heavily Mormon lineage on each side of my family (my parents are atheist (I think) but my grandparents and great grandparents are EXTREMELY religious and I spent weekends with them often) I ended up identifying as a Witch, I'm studying your Hellenistic Astrology course right now, and I've always been into a bunch of hippie stuff. The translation by Greer and Warnock does not include everything Abu Alqasim of Madrid (Al-Majraiti) wrote in Ghayat Al-Hakeem. In book 3 Chap. 11 (at the end of the chapter), the last Hindu practice of the sow and the pig is timed for 42 days, not 24 days. The beginning of Chap 12 mentions a humorous story of a Persian king exposed to fraud. The story is not mentioned.
I have personal planetary sigils. Have posted sun and venus, on venus star point. On the wall. To power myself in stormy days. It is on my progr sun. And for saturn too. I not sure to what extent but I think Chris Warnock is downplaying heavily the results that one can achieve with astrological magic ; but then again I witness nearly everyday the fluidity of reality with just thought , feeling and imagination . I also believe one can most certainly change his trajectory with a bit of hard work and practice .
There are people that say Christianity is based on the worship of Jupiter. Jesus is said to be a priest in the order of Melchizedek. Melchizedek's name can be translated from Hebrew either as "Zedek is my king" or as "My king is righteous." Zedek is the Hebrew name for Jupiter. This would explain why Joseph Smith was wearing a Jupiter talisman.

Doing Jungian individuation, some of the personality 'fates' can be deeply changed and re-designed; hooks get released. But it is not easy--the transcendent function-. I would also add that the beauty of the book is relevant to the embodiment and craft. If one is not magnetized with the text because there are no integral visuals, the text becomes heady centered rational way of addressing life which is not integral; and cannot move from the dry rational text reality we are suffering form---

I agree. Your podcast is really informed and of high quality. One friendly criticism. You over explain real y simple ideas sometimes. But, more often you don’t define advanced concepts. I wish you would take a middle road.
LLewelyn and Wiser publishers have consistently failed to support astrology outside the most conventional box. They never really supported growth in the astrology field and take any sort of risk. Very unfortunate, and yet glad that astrologers have more options today to publish their work.
This was an episode I had criticisms where I put it aside then finished today to find my criticisms were corrected shortly after my stop mark. Not that my criticisms matter, it was just that part about things will go a certain way. Hard to explain that, just saying it pays to stick around longer. lol. It was more my mood at the time than the episode. This is actually a good point to say I don’t necessarily think I’m being pulled into astrology to practice astrology, but more about the multiple philosophical implications because… if I went into astrology to be an astrologer reading charts I’d be more interested/concerted about why/what the client was looking for than the actual astrological chart. Not in a bad way, I may be more interested in something in the chart that caused them to ask me to look into something. I’m actually near studying the lots, I think I’ve inadvertently stumbled on his daimon name calculator bored/just playing around. Philosophy/story. I think predictive astrology and psychological are just different pieces of the same image so I don’t view them that differently. Also, I do account possible free will even with fate/destiny because there’s often a blur with specific details where accuracy can need to involve direct interaction. Say, you read a chart and find fated patterns; that materialized fate may be one of different variations of multiple possible fates, yet, you wouldn’t necessarily know because you’d only know of the one that materialized. The story which is me selecting the shortest that has a humorous astrology tie… back when my grandfather died, my grandmother had an issue from an old intestinal scar in her 30’s that caused food to get stuck making her entire intestinal track wrap around her vital organs 3 weeks after his funeral; she was in hospice for weeks unable to eat or drink. Extremely miserable, but there was time for the entire surviving family to come stay with her in her final days. It turned into a gossipy manipulative dispute happening in the background where fights were boiling instigated by some members where it was actually forgotten a person was actually dying where it was horrifically disrespectful and disrespectful of that persons life. Weeks of barely sleeping living on coffee, I was home about to go in and snap on people for that disrespect where (making coffee) a chair moved, the sound made me look over right a picture of my grandfather with this immediate thought of “don’t, drop it and don’t disrespect anyone that way.” Astrology wise, lot of spirit and apparently nemesis are in the 8th aries only 2 degrees apart. Mars in libra conjunct Venus and Pluto, it’s humorous that there was this mars in libra sudden reminder with a cause I don’t know. Nemesis falls into the equation in that it’s not my place to enact “judgement”, just try to maintain a peaceful mindset and attitude. Long story short, every person involved in that has suffered a “nemesis” like consequence. With talisman, synchronicities happened with a 4 P symbol making a circle I later found drew my attention to a natal transit of Pluto through my 4th which would describe that entire situation. Delving deeper, it goes into what’s described in the lots related to the Myth of Er. Related or not, I found it interesting those 2 lots are in aries 8th where I’m curious to learn more on the specific details of all the lots and what purpose they serve. I’m not sure if rulership applies to lots exactly, but it’s incredibly weird weird things happen related to the libra placements and how I’d if intuitively know Pluto was involved somehow. The story of the mouse? I have stories similar to that which requires being stressed by life situations where mars pressure causes a headache that lasts days. Not in the magic camp yet, but if there are indicators related to part of Spirit and spiritual paths/development they’d be useful. Putting down cosmos and psyche not being able to get motivated to read it is only because a spiritual path revolved so much around Carl Jung, Alan Watts, and Campbell where it’s so familiar I’m not intensely engaged with it. The philosophical components of astrology are deeply fascinating where it’s keeping me further engaged much longer and impressed by the depth. I’m not (personally) having free will issues where I often just put astrology down with the “meh, simulated universe; not getting anywhere studying it..” I’m actually seeing frameworks more so than defined absolute paths; otherwise lots may not exist. Side note: I explained a little about zodiacal releases and profections to my Egypt friend and she just entered a 10th house profection. Whole signs, her MC is 11th. I mentioned this and that, she’s working on books with an artist friend to sell for small passive income where one is of a moon she sent. Her moon (in whole signs) is in the 10th. Southern Hemisphere birth chart where it comes out really bizarre in quadrant systems up to.. she’s a cancer ascendant but up until recently it always came out Leo ascendant. She’s definitely cancer Asc.. I’m in the camp of just calling Daimon a demon because anyone who gets upset over demon will still get upset over Daimon. Plus, it makes me think of Matt Damon and that’s criminal. Fun with accidents, I wouldn’t have given nemesis a second look if it wasn’t for actually looking into the actual zodiacal myths where I’m finding the myth of Themis much more accurate to libra than the modern co-dependent weak minded, confused, lost tree leaf blowing in the wind. It makes the Saturn exaltation makes COMPLETE sense. I hope to fully complete that myth inspection soon but I get sidetracked easily. I’m running out of episodes .. 😡 Update/edit: the gossip was.. my grandmother had in her legal will of no life resuscitation plus verbally opted out of exploratory surgery with a 20% chance of recovery. Two family members who gossiped it was chosen by immediate family to get access to the estate passed away recently and everyone who attended the funerals are hospitalized for covid now. For some reason my mind is going to that nemesis placement. Great show, btw.

My whole journey with the stress of trying to remember who wrote what and when affected the information and energetic absorption of the information so much that I almost gave up on my journey. So hmmm, Are we are surrounding ourselves with talismans we know nothing about? Clothing, foods(There are religious rites performed on food everyday. kosher. check labels. magic all over them), jewelry, furniture, etc.. As I clicked this video i realized venus is right on my mercury today..(and im carving anew on this new moon just by chance) so i figured its a good time to make a talisman to communicate more lovingly but also to get out more and talk[mars over my 11th square my merc with venus visiting] I just have a feeling the square from mars will work in my favour here, as i have long introvert periods some may label a bit on the withdrawn from community side, so im going for it. And/ Or, would this help me even if i didnt do charts all day and know the astro? I have a pisces feeling its in everything ever made. I am astrology student/teacher for 20+ yrs so i have the knowledge to read charts and make things & i do consider the things I make magic, but also i see that as an artist and astrologer i have already been creating art many yrs, so what of the things i just didnt make charts for? Even since childhood.. Ornaments, paintings, carvings, all things harvesting the power of the luminaries. And noticing transits, or not noticing the daily transits. Everything around us that is made has a chart, but we just dont have most of those charts. So is it the taking notice that matters? The intention? Hmm i dont know. What does it mean for everything we have around us in our houses if this is the case!? And the house itself. ( i can see the mars anxiety in my words 😆 ) Maybe there is a couch making you more tired,or angry. A shirt you keep that reminds you of someone, or something. Did our parents keep and frame artwork we made on certain transits? Now their halls are ringing magical bells 🥰 Maybe one of them hung a terrible transit painting and set doom upon kids or grandkids by giving it so much attention. Well, A big *i dont know* but im happy learning. My daughter found 3 four leaf clovers by her jupiter return! We kept them all in a book, pressed. She loves to come check up on them once in awhile. She chose to put them on a west facing wall and she has jupiter sag (her jup) over there> to the west in her chart, so i thought that was magically relevant somehow for our abode. And, I actually dont mind when people dont share their charts. It all starts to piece itself together after awhile.If they tell you a little then you just look for the other signs. The ones who are in most powerful positions already have all your info and even your blood, unless you were born at home and never registered. Even that name is written. a rite. a talisman. engrave something with symbols and we all carry around wherever we go. - Mary {yes i am so marsy even my hair is orange. Oh and 1 small critique. If you are going to say signs as houses are wrong then maybe show examples. Practical examples of how you perhaps used to read, compared to now. And how the person,event or whatever you are reading chart for doesnt or does fit. I can think of only one thing Austin said in those vids, and it was about mars sag over 2nd isnt going to be about 9th house matters. I giggled at that because a friend with sag 2nd has just started a course for financial freedom [actually what that course is called 😆] I think the houses started with the 12 signs and the literature we have access to is showing how certain astrologers expanded on that and made their own ways of doing things in the houses. Maybe the changes and additions to houses were made by careful examination of charts and people, or maybe they were divinely inspired ideas, whims followed by certain astrologers and then tested? We are all capable of testing ourselves if we can read charts. So which do you think it is? Can you show enough evidence that houses and signs are never interchangeable? Then it would be easy to take your words for it. *show your work* ( my best saturn voice ) ARISE / ARIES starts the first house,where everything rises. Including us. Even its symbol shows the sun bursting through and rising. Im definitely finishing this carving by time mars is over 11th here this morning 😆 I can burn it later if its too powerful. University of St Andrew's is a good school I hear, my great great ancestors were king and queen of Scotlands Urquhart Castle and I read about the store behind the valley and the magical druid well and how the mother left the lid open and how the water destroyed the whole village before the castle was even born.
So they are discussing what they read in English translated from Latin translated from Spanish translated from Classical Arabic. Waw. I am currently reading the original book in Arabic of course. The author is Almajrehi - or the one from Madrid - not Alkortobi as mentioned in the beginning. The presenter’s pronunciation of the title - غايه الحكيم- is much better than that of the guest.

Despite his poker face, as an Aquarius rising and scorpio moon, I can always tell when Chris B is a bit uncomfortable when the conversation goes on a slight tangent.
Though we appreciate the Western revival, the Indian Brahmans have been doing talismans to the hilt since time immemorial! Can we as Westerners meet the ancients?
So basically, if in someone chart it doesn’t have the promise of a stable harmonious relationship then you would refuse to make a talisman because it’s hopeless anyway? 🤔
If magic is considered the attempt to influence reality and astrological magic the attempt to do so using astrology, than we all practice astrological magic every time we select an approtiate time for a weddding (which is "sealed" with the marriage contract), everytime we select a date for a contract ("sealed" with our signature) or even more so every time we select a date for bringing a baby into this world (a selection sealed by the very existence of the new person and its descendants). So a talisman is only a minimum attempt to capture the astrological forces of a moment. Maybe even the less serious one, from a certain point of view.

I not sure to what extent but I think Chris Warnock is downplaying heavily the results that one can achieve with astrological magic ; but then again I witness nearly everyday the fluidity of reality with just thought , feeling and imagination . I also believe one can most certainly change his trajectory with a bit of hard work and practice .

If one is not magnetized with the text because there are no integral visuals, the text becomes heady centered rational way of addressing life which is not integral; and cannot move from the dry rational text reality we are suffering form---

LLewelyn and Wiser publishers have consistently failed to support astrology outside the most conventional box. They never really supported growth in the astrology field and take any sort of risk. Very unfortunate, and yet glad that astrologers have more options today to publish their work.
This was an episode I had criticisms where I put it aside then finished today to find my criticisms were corrected shortly after my stop mark. Not that my criticisms matter, it was just that part about things will go a certain way. Hard to explain that, just saying it pays to stick around longer. lol. It was more my mood at the time than the episode.
This is actually a good point to say I don’t necessarily think I’m being pulled into astrology to practice astrology, but more about the multiple philosophical implications because… if I went into astrology to be an astrologer reading charts I’d be more interested/concerted about why/what the client was looking for than the actual astrological chart. Not in a bad way, I may be more interested in something in the chart that caused them to ask me to look into something.
I’m actually near studying the lots, I think I’ve inadvertently stumbled on his daimon name calculator bored/just playing around.
Philosophy/story. I think predictive astrology and psychological are just different pieces of the same image so I don’t view them that differently. Also, I do account possible free will even with fate/destiny because there’s often a blur with specific details where accuracy can need to involve direct interaction. Say, you read a chart and find fated patterns; that materialized fate may be one of different variations of multiple possible fates, yet, you wouldn’t necessarily know because you’d only know of the one that materialized. The story which is me selecting the shortest that has a humorous astrology tie… back when my grandfather died, my grandmother had an issue from an old intestinal scar in her 30’s that caused food to get stuck making her entire intestinal track wrap around her vital organs 3 weeks after his funeral; she was in hospice for weeks unable to eat or drink. Extremely miserable, but there was time for the entire surviving family to come stay with her in her final days. It turned into a gossipy manipulative dispute happening in the background where fights were boiling instigated by some members where it was actually forgotten a person was actually dying where it was horrifically disrespectful and disrespectful of that persons life. Weeks of barely sleeping living on coffee, I was home about to go in and snap on people for that disrespect where (making coffee) a chair moved, the sound made me look over right a picture of my grandfather with this immediate thought of “don’t, drop it and don’t disrespect anyone that way.” Astrology wise, lot of spirit and apparently nemesis are in the 8th aries only 2 degrees apart. Mars in libra conjunct Venus and Pluto, it’s humorous that there was this mars in libra sudden reminder with a cause I don’t know. Nemesis falls into the equation in that it’s not my place to enact “judgement”, just try to maintain a peaceful mindset and attitude. Long story short, every person involved in that has suffered a “nemesis” like consequence. With talisman, synchronicities happened with a 4 P symbol making a circle I later found drew my attention to a natal transit of Pluto through my 4th which would describe that entire situation. Delving deeper, it goes into what’s described in the lots related to the Myth of Er.
Related or not, I found it interesting those 2 lots are in aries 8th where I’m curious to learn more on the specific details of all the lots and what purpose they serve. I’m not sure if rulership applies to lots exactly, but it’s incredibly weird weird things happen related to the libra placements and how I’d if intuitively know Pluto was involved somehow. The story of the mouse? I have stories similar to that which requires being stressed by life situations where mars pressure causes a headache that lasts days. Not in the magic camp yet, but if there are indicators related to part of Spirit and spiritual paths/development they’d be useful. Putting down cosmos and psyche not being able to get motivated to read it is only because a spiritual path revolved so much around Carl Jung, Alan Watts, and Campbell where it’s so familiar I’m not intensely engaged with it.
The philosophical components of astrology are deeply fascinating where it’s keeping me further engaged much longer and impressed by the depth. I’m not (personally) having free will issues where I often just put astrology down with the “meh, simulated universe; not getting anywhere studying it..” I’m actually seeing frameworks more so than defined absolute paths; otherwise lots may not exist.
Side note: I explained a little about zodiacal releases and profections to my Egypt friend and she just entered a 10th house profection. Whole signs, her MC is 11th. I mentioned this and that, she’s working on books with an artist friend to sell for small passive income where one is of a moon she sent. Her moon (in whole signs) is in the 10th. Southern Hemisphere birth chart where it comes out really bizarre in quadrant systems up to.. she’s a cancer ascendant but up until recently it always came out Leo ascendant. She’s definitely cancer Asc..
I’m in the camp of just calling Daimon a demon because anyone who gets upset over demon will still get upset over Daimon. Plus, it makes me think of Matt Damon and that’s criminal.
Fun with accidents, I wouldn’t have given nemesis a second look if it wasn’t for actually looking into the actual zodiacal myths where I’m finding the myth of Themis much more accurate to libra than the modern co-dependent weak minded, confused, lost tree leaf blowing in the wind. It makes the Saturn exaltation makes COMPLETE sense.
I hope to fully complete that myth inspection soon but I get sidetracked easily. I’m running out of episodes .. 😡
Update/edit: the gossip was.. my grandmother had in her legal will of no life resuscitation plus verbally opted out of exploratory surgery with a 20% chance of recovery. Two family members who gossiped it was chosen by immediate family to get access to the estate passed away recently and everyone who attended the funerals are hospitalized for covid now. For some reason my mind is going to that nemesis placement.

My daughter found 3 four leaf clovers by her jupiter return!
We kept them all in a book, pressed. She loves to come check up on them once in awhile.

And, I actually dont mind when people dont share their charts. It all starts to piece itself together after awhile.If they tell you a little then you just look for the other signs.
The ones who are in most powerful positions already have all your info and even your blood, unless you were born at home and never registered.

Oh and 1 small critique. If you are going to say signs as houses are wrong then maybe show examples. Practical examples of how you perhaps used to read, compared to now. And how the person,event or whatever you are reading chart for doesnt or does fit.
I can think of only one thing Austin said in those vids, and it was about mars sag over 2nd isnt going to be about 9th house matters.
I giggled at that because a friend with sag 2nd has just started a course for financial freedom [actually what that course is called 😆]
I think the houses started with the 12 signs and the literature we have access to is showing how certain astrologers expanded on that and made their own ways of doing things in the houses.
Maybe the changes and additions to houses were made by careful examination of charts and people, or maybe they were divinely inspired ideas, whims followed by certain astrologers and then tested? We are all capable of testing ourselves if we can read charts.
So which do you think it is? Can you show enough evidence that houses and signs are never interchangeable?

The author is Almajrehi - or the one from Madrid - not Alkortobi as mentioned in the beginning. The presenter’s pronunciation of the title - غايه الحكيم- is much better than that of the guest.
Picatrix is not actually a translation. The author of the arabic text is still under discussion and Al Qurtubi is the current academic opinion.

So basically, if in someone chart it doesn’t have the promise of a stable harmonious relationship then you would refuse to make a talisman because it’s hopeless anyway? 🤔
If magic is considered the attempt to influence reality and astrological magic the attempt to do so using astrology, than we all practice astrological magic every time we select an approtiate time for a weddding (which is "sealed" with the marriage contract), everytime we select a date for a contract ("sealed" with our signature) or even more so every time we select a date for bringing a baby into this world (a selection sealed by the very existence of the new person and its descendants). So a talisman is only a minimum attempt to capture the astrological forces of a moment. Maybe even the less serious one, from a certain point of view.
