Man, I picked up a Steven Forrest book on a cross country car trip 30+ years ago and it changed my life. I read it cover to cover and felt like I had found the most beautiful soul and he explained astrology to me in such human terms. I did a lot of study and then drifted away for years, until just recently I have again felt astrology calling. Up to my attic to find all my books, and specifically looking for my Forrest books. And now running into this video by chance. I love this man, thank you so much for Steven Forrest.
Great interview. The interesting thing is that both evolutionary and traditional astrology believe that a natal chart shows things that are predetermined, so they actually agree on this main point. They simply differ on the cause of it. Karma vs. fate/gods. They are in fact the same thing. We are the the ones who created our karma, that now shows up as ”fate”. It is simply cause and effect, and like Steven said, habitual tendencies, that accumulates karma. I think it is definitely important to study astrology’s roots. There is some evidence that past lives were simply assumed during Hellenistic times; Plato’s Myth of Er etc. But it is so much easier to ”blame” the gods and fate, than to take responsibility (good or bad) on something that we can’t remember doing. It seems completely strange, unfair and ”unscientific”. But yet, there it is. Buddha, upon his enlightment, did remember all his countless lifetimes to the smallest detail. Just because we don’t remember, doesn’t mean it isn’t there.

Great work Chris and Steve! I am an astrologer myself (based in Sweden) and long before I got into astrology, I was an student of reincarnation. Therefore, I consider myself a witness of reincarnation as a valid truth both in my personal life and as an astrologer in my work with clients. So far, I can say that I could never go back (as far as reading charts or personally) on the fact that we bring with us a luggage contentaining residious from previous lifetimes. It is indeed reflected on the birth chart! Loved the interview. Well done!

You ask the questions we are we are curious about with thoughtfulness, respect and grace. Steven as always funny, poised and gracious Great talk guys!
So beautiful to see this again after a couple of years. It autoplayed. Steven Forest was on my booklist from The Melbourne School of Astrology in 2007. When I first saw this, and Demetra and many others, it's like hearing astrological rockstars. Thank you so much Chris. Deciding to look up aspects and houses again and discovering The Astrology Podcast has given me back so much of myself that has been missing. Ray Factor died suddenly in 2012. He was so important to me. He'd just adore this discussion.
Steven Forres is so amazing. His destiny was probably in his school and that is why he had to pivot. His past lives view is revelatory, and his intelligence is really bright and his insights amazing. And I love his aura. He feels like a lovely person
1:19:13 I found this hilarious as I am an ex-JW who absolutely detested having to preach on Saturday mornings. As soon as I escaped that insane organization, I began a spiritual quest which resulted in getting a natal chart reading from another ex-JW who read charts as a hobby. She was incredibly accurate and SO very helpful in my life journey. Thank you so much for this episode because the afterlife and reincarnation have always been in my psyche for as long as I can remember.
I've been feeling the need to link spiritual and the metaphysical with astrology and was looking for conversations around that. Today, found this on my home page very randomly. Boy, what a fantastic interview!
Thank you so much for this glorious interview. I am totally new to astrology, and your and Steven’s overall orientation is comforting and very easy for me to resonate with. I love this completely.
Absolutely loved this pod cast!... it all makes perfect sense. Chris smiled so much....such a joy to see that, these two men really liked each other and understood deeply this concept.
Thank you so much Chris for making this knowledge available, and thank you Steven for sharing it. Being passionate about astrology, and a student of Tibetan Buddhism, this podcast is weaving together several major fields of study I'm interested in.. And actually, I must say, listening to Steven's words awoke a sort of memory of an astrology I must have studied before. It was like his words gave a body and brought together intuitions I had about astrology... Priceless, thank you ❤🙏
I think this is my favorite interview in this podcast. And I enjoy the podcast a lot. There is a good chemistry among you two. A gem to see Chris Brennan smile this much, very interesting comments on the south node and ethics. I am really new to astrology, just trying to understand myself better and get a clearer vision of my purpose in life, started reading a lot about the north node, and now that I started to dig on planets, the houses, and seeing how rich this is, I am completely sucked. Thanks to contents like this. I am sincerely thankful ❤
44:20 @Chris B - there are Vedic astrologers who DO make very straight predictions about past lives. One I can wholly endorse is Deepanshu Giri and he has a Vedic astrology school in India and does past life readings if you are still looking for one. He doesn’t sugarcoat anything. Take care

Love Steven Forrest -what a lovely, sensitive and intelligent man. I would love to have a consultation with him but he's too booked up. I have many of his books and got so much from them ------I have south node in Sag in the 2nd house -I remember many past lives with parallel themes -being a warrior.soldier (native american, roman etc) finding a raise in consciousness and not wanting to fight and kill. Wanting Peace. I shared this with my fellow fighters and was killed - I now have scorpio rising and Moon, with Mars in Libra in the 11th. Jupiter cnj NN in Gemini in 8th. I have a few basic themes come to me about these placements but have alot to learn - I am a student of astrology/occult still and will always be. I came in to this life awake psychically -Moon Neptune rising. Thank you Chris -Love your work -Deep thanks to you from me.
This is one of the episodes that pulled me reluctantly back into astrology where I want to joke about how it’s too short while leaving a 100,000 word comment. Forrest is very great and I enjoyed the interview and I don’t mean this negative at all; it’s actually emphasizing his point. If we need to evolve our charts to remove negative chart traits, isn’t that the same good vs bad religious conditioning? It’s just something I playfully smiled at listening to it just because it is hard to not think of things this way while also understanding what he really means when he says it. The toxic reads he’s discussing is actually one of the very first experiences I had with astrology and ironically a big part of how I was raised because my mother hated Leo’s and I’m a 12th house Leo sun Mercury. Seeing that the first time it was interpreted as a karmic punishment for harming others with my ego while I didn’t exactly see it that way. The more I looked at my chart with this weird “what?” response (it’s gorgeously harmonic while being extremely difficult with the Devil in the details) I also felt that’s the exact chart I’d choose if I was born into this life. I feel like everyone should read their chart with this familiarity and I view the universe as amoral where we choose what experiences we want to experience as opposed to judging gods punishing us. If I wanted a sort of selfless life to a degree there’s only certain ways to achieve that along with 12th house experiences and I actually treasure that. Since this is node related, I like my 1st to 7th axis is always astrologers use of explanation because it’s described as horrific while I don’t think it’s that bad; it depends on how you look at it. From the view of spiritual development you’d want to develop knowledge of shadow and that is that axis as opposed to using astrology to describe the other, if that makes sense. 7th house people just give guidance for 7th knowledge as opposed to reading some planets and some signs as “other”. What tipped my scales to actually get back into astrology early is seeing a nodal read related to chakras where my Ketu axis impacts the 3rd and 11th with detachment along with the 7th and rahu increases activity in the 5th and 9th. If I do what astrologers say to do (neglect/move away from the south node), I actually naturally detach from the 3rd, 7th, and 11th houses where if I’m in a south node mode it appears I’m in a rahu engagement; it’s backwards, yet, they work together. The feeling my Ketu is I’ve done 7th, 3rd, and 11th house things so many times that it’s predictable and not at all exciting yet necessary to be balanced out. Extremely difficult to explain which is why nodes are fascinating. To me charts are spiritual and I don’t limit spiritual to only non physical because being overindulgent to rich beyond use can be inverted spiritual experiences. A 2nd house south node in some interpretations can be financially successful where their sense of security is unfulfilled regardless. Some may be so rich they need to go into space to feel connected to the earth or feel a sense of life. (lol) otherwise it’s empty isolation. In the karmic wheel those are ones who are in their 1st physical carnation as human which shines a light on those misfortunate and the experiences they want. I like he mentioned astrology needs simplified and less competitive (combative) astrologers. I’m taking a liking to archetypal astrology this time around. The University of Virginia perceptual studies warn against past life regression therapy and they’re starting to study past life memories and personality similarities. If dove into enough, you’ll find between life memories of children who recall spending time with their parents before the parents decided to have children; it appears we pick our parents. Reincarnation in terms of memories is roughly 4 1/2 years, reincarnated often in the same families and culture UNLESS they have traumatic lives and decide to reincarnate in another family or culture, at least, In confirmed past life cases.
Totally agree that we remember the emotion of our past lives because I have felt these, seen these life times and have done a lot of work with my kinesiologist to release these energies, which have helped me immensely. Such a fascinating podcast ☺️
Wow, I love this guy! Such a brilliant, humble and funny guy - and this is a great podcast. Most interviews annoy me as the host usually interrupts all the time, and doesn’t let the guest actually speak- this is a breath of fresh air. Def subscribing!
It has been an excellent interview with an extraordinary man like S.Forest. I have come through my years of studying astrology to find out today, without knowing little to none about Steve; how much I agree with him and to have lived and found how true and real is evolutionary astrology. I work with whole houses and western sideral since it is the true description of astrology and its energy “as above so below” Mind is so tricky than can make anyone believe what is not when you blind yourself and repeat it 1000 times as with tropical astrology that to me is just a classroom astrology that has nothing to do with reality in reference to planets location. Astrologers are afraid and rather to go with the flow instead of taking a stand for what is undeniable. He works with Placidus which is a computer made up house system that typifies people at different latitud with traumas or problems in an irrational way that I don’t see logic or correlation in, as well as the intersected signs. Respect it but is a big minus in his analysis. There can’t be two or three truths about one reality!👎🏽👎🏽
Thank you so much for doing this episode with Mr. Steven Forrest. A voice that I would always love to hear and wisdom that I always look forward to digest as much as possible. Karma is derived from the Sanskrit word called 'Kri’ which means 'to do’. Swami Vivekananda, in his book, 'Karma Yoga’ wrote the below phrase: In connection with metaphysics, it sometimes means, the effects of which our past actions were the causes. Coming from the background of Hindu philosophy and Vedic Astrology, I myself find it hard to wrestle and come to a conclusion with Karma related astrology. Reincarnation, although tied in with the concept of Karma and not being used in a right way (as Mr. Forrest put it very rightly, "toxicity"). I find Mr. Forrest's opinion of Karma related to "Habit" very interesting. I'd love hear more about it. Thanks again!
I think I have watched every episode of the astrology podcast this one was by far my favorite it brought me to tears more than once. Thank you Chris, Thank you Steven.
I appreciate this podcast so much. Mr. Forrest was the first author who’s books I read and to hear him speak… there’s something humbling and deeply respecting about “Masters” of an art that become outliers and continue to work authentically where most fear to tread. Having taken my “student in astrology” more seriously since coming across your podcast, Chris, thank you to both of you for making this available.🙏🏻
What is inherently beautiful with all ways of interpreting astrology utilizing different systems is that they all reach the same Truth. They all require a bit of science and a bit of artfulness... but still the same Truth.
Informative retrospective on the varied approaches to astrology. Thank you. It i important to see that the placement of planets only speak to potentialities and general trends for manifestion... the best message is that those energies manifest in varied forms for each one of us.
Steven has reminded me of what it was like trying to learn and research anything before the internet. I ams so thankful of the knowledge I have at my fingertips.
Just for the sake of extending on my previous comment, I would like to add that what I have learned from experience, both personally and as an astrologer, is that, we are born with the chart that fits the life we planned before we were born, and that the chart itself is mathematically in alignment with our pre-birth plan. Before we got here, we made a plan for our present incarnation, and the birth chart reflects such a plan. It's pure wisdom in itself , and as well, reflects the beauty of divine order operating in this great divine universe! It's pure beauty.
It found it interesting that Steven said when he was younger he wanted that structure and now is open to all of the differences. It seems he moved from his Capricorn sun to Aquarius.😊
Thanks for interviewing Steven Forrest. Martin Schulman's book on reincarnation was one of the early astrology books i read in the 1980s. Steven Forrest's books were also part of my early Astrology study. Since I remembered my past lives in nightly flashbacks and lucid dreams from the time I was around 5 years old I have never doubted reincarnation. I was always drawn to Indian Hindu and Tibetan Buddhist teachings and teachers. I also had 6 months of weekly past life regression Hypnosis work when I lived in Sedona in 1987. I have always used the South Node as past life indicators then channel images to the client in the reading. I believe Past Lives are so important and need to be worked on through our karmic patterns in this life and to free ourselves to be empowered in this and future lives.
Catching up on past episodes. This is one of the loveliest of all. What a gem of a human being. Learnt a lot about an approach that I was pretty sceptical about. Thanks both.
Such a Capricorn sun. Focusing on life by hard work that the soul needs to do and to not sugar coat readings or responses because he wants that person to evolve. His dry and dark sense of humor is v Capricorn. Sign of the teacher as well. 😂 I have a stellium of 5 planets in Capricorn in the 11th (☀, mercury, Neptune, Saturn, Uranus).
Everyday or every other pending on time constraints and duration of post; I watch a new podcast and am blown away or walk away with a sense of gaining some profound insight, (which with a Leo rising , and Jupiter in my 1st house, I manage to apply to myself). I don’t know enough about astrology to explain things, but I do know that I have issues in my 4th house that have been quite challenging to varying degrees thru out my life, but it did not extend to my grandparents. I can relate to what was said about ‘sitting with a lineage’ and absorbing ‘something’. Patience has never been my strong virtue, yet for my grandparents, I did. I think I knew, that just sitting with them, I was being productive (lots of Aries and Taurus in my chart), and some type of knowledge or wisdom or well being or something….was transmitted and absorbed by me. I somehow was better off, just being near them. …much the same can be said about watching these podcasts, but it is on more of a quasi intellectual basis. Each day I am grateful for the insights I garner from Astrology Podcast’s posts and I love that Chris attempts to broaden our horizons by exposing us to new people and schools of thought, rather than cloistering his viewers into some mind controlled follow-ship group. ( I don’t think Chris has much Leo in his chart, as the humility and tendency to cast the lime light on others, are exemplary traits and worth mirroring). I’ve been looking for something, and I think Chris has dropped a bread crumb and I can’t wait to check out more by Mr. Forrest
Great talk over a very interesting topic! My question is: How can someone determine in one's chart whether this is the first incarnation of this soul and if not how many incarnations has this soul been through before the last?
As Steven´s example of the little boy, I have a south node in Aries, in the first house. I've always heard about that speaking of a past in violence, war, and perhaps being a victim. Strangely, those themes do not resonate with me, I dont "feel" them. What I feel as a "habit" in me, is that I have always just listened to myself, and done whatever I liked. Many lives being alone, because I WANTED it, and not being "bothered" by partnership, or others. Always looking to satisfy my inner self, and fighting to always make it so. My north node in Libra says I have to listen to others, learn no be in partnership, learn to share and not be selfish, which with south node in Aries, perhaps I was so. And its difficult! because I feel the south node just unconsciously pulls you back to exactly that- habits. learning from my north node in Libra in the seventh house is not easy. So I think the nodes can get expressed in whatever sign they are by the multiple significations the signs have- and not necessarily one.
Steven Forrest is a great astrologer. Thank you for org. this. It was interesting to hear about SF's take on Karma - as habits that get repeated in the next incarnation. Per the vedas in Sanatana Dharma, where the fact of karma actually originates (not from Buddhism - which can many moons later), Karma goes much beyond habits being repeated in various lifetimes. Karma is a deep factual concept, but condensing it would certainly simplify working with karmic astrology, or understanding patterns and the Nodes. However, it would be good to bear in mind that is just about scratching the surface. Thanks Steven and Chris .
Excellent🥇Thank you Chris. I adore Steven Forrest and his work. Past lives can be proven through past life regressions (Brian Weiss etc etc). ✨💫✨Astrologers vary immensely in their education, intelligence, spiritual depth and wisdom.💫✨💫
I love this conversation. Being a Buddhist, life would make zero sense without the concept of karma. And indeed, I was bullied, verbally by my peers all through school. (I finally quit because it was too toxic to remain there), but I was born with Saturn opposing Mars. That karma was baked in. I somehow created the causes to have that. It was a Karmic debt that had to be repaid

So far, I can say that I could never go back (as far as reading charts or personally) on the fact that we bring with us a luggage contentaining residious from previous lifetimes. It is indeed reflected on the birth chart! Loved the interview. Well done!
Do you know any PLR sessions? I’ve tried them all and nothing worked . The closest I’ve come to was Dr Brian Weiss. However it wasn’t long enough for me. It’s only 35-45 minutes. Mira Kelly’s voice doesn’t work for me . I’ve tried and I’d loved to .
@@freespiritwithnature4384 There are so many out there. Since I haven’t tried myself it’s difficult for me to recommend anyone. If you tried Dr. Brian Weiss and Kelly’s work and it didn’t work, my advice is that you continue to research and try out what resonates with you. Good luck!
@@freespiritwithnature4384 have a look at Alba Weinman's videos or Robert Schwartz. Hope it helps!
@@silviaargolo7378 Thank you ,yes I have seen their work too. I found Dr Brain Weiss the most successful, but honestly just as it was ending , I was just starting to get relaxed . It was to short. Thanks for replying. I appreciate it.
My favorite guest on the astrology podcast ever - amazingly great conversation!!
Steven Forrest is a wonderful soul who leaves room for every person to reach a higher potential. Thank you for this interview 💛
Just listened to this full episode today, 20 months after it was posted, and was absolutely riveted. I think this conversation will have relevance on through the ages. Thanks for this excellent conversation.
*This was absolutely a divine interview that kept my attention all the way through, and learned quite a bit. Very clarifying with depth. Thanks Chris and Steven!* 🙏💞
This was brilliant. My husband listened to the WHOLE THING with me. We even paused to sidebar several times. After 13 yrs as man and woman and 30 yrs as friends he's now extremely interested in learning more. Chris as always you get right to the meat and potatoes of it.
He'd just adore this discussion.
two of my favorite astrologers in the world finally made a podcast together :)
This was one of my favorite episodes! The questions you asked Steven were incredible and his humble and honest answers were endearing. Loved it!
Both of you men are great gifts to the Astro-Community.
Thank you.
🙏
I've been feeling the need to link spiritual and the metaphysical with astrology and was looking for conversations around that. Today, found this on my home page very randomly. Boy, what a fantastic interview!
I absolutely enjoy Mr. Forrest. His books were my introduction to astrology.
I love Steven Forrest. I could listen to him all day.
Thank you so much for this glorious interview. I am totally new to astrology, and your and Steven’s overall orientation is comforting and very easy for me to resonate with. I love this completely.
What a lovely, warm conversation! I enjoyed every minute of this interview. Thank you both for your time and knowledge. All the best
I just brought Yesterday's Sky because this podcast was so incredible. Thank you Chris and Steven for doing this.
I’m 46 - Steven Forrest has been my favorite astrologer since I was 16 years old. So wonderful to see him speak here in your podcast.
Steven Forrest is absolutely wonderful 💜
Absolutely loved this pod cast!... it all makes perfect sense. Chris smiled so much....such a joy to see that, these two men really liked each other and understood deeply this concept.
A real master. So humble and sharp at the the same time. Thanks for this interview Chris !!
Priceless, thank you ❤🙏
THANK YOU!
Great conversation!
Great discussion!
I very much enjoyed every second!
Again, thank you both!
What an enlightening podcast. I just loved the hsrmonious balance between you two and the careful choice of words...respect🥰
Take care
Steven, what a gift you are to us all. Thank you Chris, for hosting this powerful conversation.
Brilliant episode! My south node is also in Scorpio and I would love to discuss the "secret handshake" with both of you! Look forward to another episode with Steven Forrest.
Mine too! My mean SN Scorpio is in 2nd, my true SN in 1st.
Mine too! 6th house
Mine toooo!!! SN in ♏11th house NN in ♉ 5th house
Such a beautiful discussion... seriously amazing. Two people who I totally respect discussing the common ground with mutual respect between views and generations. As it should be 🖤
Love Steven Forrest -what a lovely, sensitive and intelligent man.
Loved this interview. Steven is such a warm person, I'd love a reading with him, and Chris asks great questions and is a great listener.
I am new to astrology and find this riveting and very emotional....am a fan of both now
Wow, I love this guy! Such a brilliant, humble and funny guy - and this is a great podcast. Most interviews annoy me as the host usually interrupts all the time, and doesn’t let the guest actually speak- this is a breath of fresh air. Def subscribing!
Much love to you and your team. I've Learned a lot about Astrology just from watching your RUclips videos💫✨
It has been an excellent interview with an extraordinary man like S.Forest. I have come through my years of studying astrology to find out today, without knowing little to none about Steve; how much I agree with him and to have lived and found how true and real is evolutionary astrology. I work with whole houses and western sideral since it is the true description of astrology and its energy “as above so below”
Mind is so tricky than can make anyone believe what is not when you blind yourself and repeat it 1000 times as with tropical astrology that to me is just a classroom astrology that has nothing to do with reality in reference to planets location.
Thank you for interviewing Steven Forrest! Wonderful discussion! Best!
Thank you so much for doing this episode with Mr. Steven Forrest. A voice that I would always love to hear and wisdom that I always look forward to digest as much as possible.
Karma is derived from the Sanskrit word called 'Kri’ which means 'to do’. Swami Vivekananda, in his book, 'Karma Yoga’ wrote the below phrase:
In connection with metaphysics, it sometimes means, the effects of which our past actions were the causes.
This is an amazing discussion! Thank you for this!
Informative retrospective on the varied approaches to astrology. Thank you. It i important to see that the placement of planets only speak to potentialities and general trends for manifestion... the best message is that those energies manifest in varied forms for each one of us.
More of this😃🤗THANK YOU✌😊
Steven has reminded me of what it was like trying to learn and research anything before the internet. I ams so thankful of the knowledge I have at my fingertips.
loved Inner Sky, such a poetic book ♥️ thank you for this beautiful video!
Thanks Chris. This was ace. Been following you for ages now and I still find out something new e very podcast. 🙌 Really appreciate your work!
This has to be my favorite conversation! Thank you so much.
It found it interesting that Steven said when he was younger he wanted that structure and now is open to all of the differences. It seems he moved from his Capricorn sun to Aquarius.😊
"You served a very intense cup of coffee right!" SO FUNNY 😃
i can totally relate to “i’ve been remembering, not discovering”.
Chris and Steven, Thanks so much for so generously sharing your time and expertise. Listening to this teaching was worthwhile and fascinating!
I feel Steven is a reincarnation of Nostradamus!
Kate Bedell Artist hans Christian king was the reincarnation of nostradamus
I really appreciate the viewpoints of Steven Forrest. He is a wise man.
Catching up on past episodes. This is one of the loveliest of all. What a gem of a human being. Learnt a lot about an approach that I was pretty sceptical about. Thanks both.
What a clear illustration of "Respect one's elders" principle )
As counsellor and spiritual believer I can really appreciate the value of this, especially regarding the impacts of implicit memory!
I'm currently reading Inner Sky one of the first of Forrest's books..and I'm also reading Arroyo's book..Thanks for this
Arroyo is brilliant. His writing is so easy, direct to the point but full of valuable information on Karmic interpretation!
So a premature birth could be a push to be born on a target, rather than the medical expected timeline?
bocolewish Definitely, I think the majority of astrologers would agree with that statement.
Great interview!!! It gave me food for the thought and plesure for my soul. Thank you!!!
This is such an important interview. Thank you so much for doing this. ❤️
Loved every moment of this cool calm and collected talk
Yesterday's Sky was my first Astrology book and it's still my favorite. xxxxxxxooooooo
Absolutely fantastic dynamic between you guys . Loved it Didn’t want it to end . Middle Capricorn here Steve xxx
My heart sings as I listen to you. I want to know everything about evolutionary astrology! Thank you.
Agreed. For Me, Three Is My Favourite Number.
it is the most nonsense non-astrology.
Forrest
Great guest Chris! I have Steven’s books and it’s wonderful to hear his south node points of view in an interview. Love your south node commonality!
Great talk over a very interesting topic! My question is: How can someone determine in one's chart whether this is the first incarnation of this soul and if not how many incarnations has this soul been through before the last?
I’m no expert, but I don’t think anyone on this planet is on their first incarnation.
SOOOOO INTERESTING! Thank you, Chris for your insightful and penetrating questions and for having Steven on your podcast. He is a wonderful human.
And!!! When listening to why he is an Evolutionaries astrologer, it reminds me of the basics! The basics are elements & modalities! Thus meaning for existence!
Chris and Steven, thank you for this podcast.
Each of you are so impressive and insightful. In combination & conversation -- outstanding. Thanks so much, Steven & Chris
An amazing interview ! How fortunate to be able to
Listen to Steven Forrest 🌟🌟🌟✨🙏🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️thank you
Brilliant, educational and HELPFUL conversation. Thank you so much!!
This is one of the best podcasts ! Absolutely excellent conversation!
