The Librarian of Boone's Hollow sound intriguing!! I am very interested to read more about the pack-horse librarian project after reading The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek and The Giver of Stars.
Same! I am excited for Boone's Hollow too and so thankful that it was gifted to me.
I love that edition of Three Times Lucky. It is such a fun book! I recommend that book and all of the Moe and Dale Mysteries in March every year for people who want to combine MGM and MMM. Moe is my favorite middle grade literary character. She is just so spunky!
I've heard good things about Three Times Lucky. Sounds like a fun read. Not sure when I will get to it though. Maybe next March? I have quite a few middle grade that are higher priority for me.
What a great book haul! I would recommend Ashes Of Roses by Mary Jane Auch. It's a YA, historical fiction novel about the Triangle Shirtwaist fire. Thanks for the great videos. Samantha

I haven't started tracking the Honor books. I'll start with the Newbery winners and then decide if I'll do the honor books too. It's a fun project. Enjoy!
My son's favorite book is Fablehaven. I found a couple of Book of the Month books at a free little library, Four Winds and Send for Me.

A great middle grade about the triangle shirtwaist factory is Uprising by Margaret Peterson Haddix. I am just fascinated by that piece of history and will have to look into those books you mentioned!

That's so cool! It's such a lovely country and the people there have a special place in my heart, especially the kiddos. I was there two months (I think I said just one) back in 2006. It was a very meaningful trip.
Another Christian fiction book about packhorse librarians is "Wonderland Creek" by Lynn Austin. I've got it on my Kindle and need to get to it, as Lynn Austin is one of my favorite CF authors! I read "Dragonfly" last year, LOVED IT LOVED IT!!!! Leila Meacham is one of my favorite authors - she spins a great story! :-)
I think I've heard of Wonderland Creek before. I will make sure that is on my to read list as well. I have read a few Lynn Austen back in the day. Glad to hear you loved Dragonfly. I am excited to try a Leila Meacham sometime.

I read The Rebel Librarian after seeing it in your other video. I snatched it up at our local used bookstore (McKays, if you ever come through Tennessee...it’s epically awesome used bookstore goodness). Rebel Librarian was such good fun! I think you will love it when you get to it. Fablehaven was great too. I also did not care for Hello Universe. Can’t believe it won a Newbery. Wishtree is one of my favorite middle grades ever. Crenshaw was good, but not Wishtree / Ivan level, in my opinion. I recently ordered from Book Outlet too! It’s hard because you get so many books before you hit that $35 free shipping mark. I got 9 books for $38! Crazy awesome. But you look like a book hoarder when the box arrives and your spouse sees it. 😂 Thanks, as always, for a great video!
I used to have a McKays here in Richmond, but it went out of business just a few months after I moved here. So sad! There's another one in the DC area that I have visited. I love it! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these books. It's possible we're both a bit of book hoarders. haha. I'm not sad about it.
I wanted all 5 of ther books from BOTM, lol. I requested Libertie ferrin the library. The stickers, you could get some bright or neon green cardstock, put ther mushroom stickers on it, cut it out, laminate or and have three perfect bookmark for the book! I added the Christian Fiction to my Amazon list! I really want to order another box from bookoutlet, but not sure if I should, I'm so far behind on my reads 🙈.

I remember that incident in Thailand and it was covered closely over here in Malaysia as well. I would be interested to read All Thriteen, too. Really enjoyed the haul!!

I picked Libertie and People We Meet on Vacation this month as well. I was SO happy Emily Henry’s book was an option this month!

Yeah, I have been in the mood for light and fun books lately. Haven't found many good ones. I have high hopes for the Emily Henry one. I love Book Outlet! I am trying to put a pause on shopping there though. It's been a bit out of control the last few months. Of course then yesterday I got a few rewards from people using my link and now I just want to go get more books! haha. The never ending cycle!

I started to read Dragonfly last year and haven’t finished it. I haven’t given up on it as it seemed good when I was reading it but just haven’t felt like reading historical fiction lately. Also I own Sherwood and Hunter by Meagan Spooner. Good book haul - I am staying away from Bookoutlet lol. Have a good weekend. Enjoy your paint by numbers.
Dragonfly is quite a chunker. It will be a commitment to read. I've heard good things though. I am trying to stay away from Book Outlet for a while as well. I went a little crazy in the past 6 months.

I listened to the audiobook of Caterpillar Summer during middle grade march. It also deals with some grief issues. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I look forward to hearing your thoughts when you get to it! Great book haul! I looked up the Leila Meacham one, but my library doesn't have it. It sounds good too! I want to read the librarian of Boone hollow also.

After the crazy amount of book shopping I did in March, I have really pulled back so far in April (though the month isn't over!). As long as I stay away from the Book Outlet 25% off sale going on right now, I should be ok. *wink*
From BOTM for April I also got People We Meet on Vacation. And I also got one of the add-ons, When the Stars Go Dark. And I've picked up a couple of other assorted titles here and there. I'm holding at 6 books hauled in April thus far.
I just bought another book today. haha. I may have a problem. But it's for a buddy read in may and my library doesn't have it. Oh well. haha.

I sometimes wait to pick my BOTM, but it was an easy choice for me this month so I ordered it right away. Maybe even just before the first! haha. Good to know about the Chocorooms. I tried them a couple days after filming. They were good, but I don't need more! haha.
I got The Land in a giveaway last month so I haven’t read it yet. But I’m looking forward to it. I also did end up buying the early reader box from Between the Bookends and it had 3 books and so much stuff!

The Endling series is really good. Dragonfly is a great book and a fast read, even though its chunky. Great haul.

What an awesome haul!! I've been ordering quite a few books lately (sssh!!!) I figured March was my birthday month, so I gave myself permission to go a bit nuts! !! I ordered the four books that are on Oprah's book picks this month, they are by Marilynne Robinson, they sounded really good, can't wait to read them! I also ordered a somewhat steamy romance, Screwdrivered, can't remember the authors name, I like a good romance every so often. I also ordered a very small children's book called Stone Soup. It's really a moral type story, if you will, I first heard it told on Little House on The Prairie, and when I saw it for sale on Thriftbooks, I had to get it, it's a great story! Right now I'm reading a John Grisham novel, it takes place in Mississippi in the 1940's, and it starts off right away with an established white man going into the Methodist church in town and murdering the black preacher there. When the police ask him why he did it, his response is, I have nothing to say about it!! I can't wait to figure this out!! I hope you are having a great month!!! 😊❤📚

I read the Seven Sisters & the second book they were both great. I keep saying that I would get back to the rest of the books in the series. They are truly chunky books. I want to read Librarian of Boone's Hollow and The Accidental Suffragist but while I'm waiting for that to come out I might read The Fall of Marigold. I love your channel

I loved Escape from Mr Lemoncello's Library - definitely recommend. I also bought The Firekeeper's Daughter. I did not realize it was classed as a thriller. I don't normally read thrillers although I love mysteries, but I will give this one a chance. I will be interested to hear what you think of it.
I have heard such good things about Mr. Lemoncello. I didn't realized Firekeeper's Daughter was a thriller either until I read part of the inside flap. I don't often read them either. Hopefully we both like it!

I do not do book of the month. I buy all my books from Barnes and Nobel mostly. Once in awhile I'll buy from half prices books. I sell my books because I really don't reread books. My book blog is a great way to keep track all the books I've read. If you'd like to check it out I can give you the address for it. I don't read middle grade.
I get tempted by that shelf "Buy 3 get 1 Free" at B&N. I try not to spend so much on books usually though. I wish I had a Half Price Books near me. But I do have a used bookstore so I'm not too sad. l don't read any blogs since my time is taken up with bookstagram and booktube. I wish you all the best with your blog! I can check it out though.

I met Mary Higgins clark a few times at signings. one location used to sing the song that the title of the book was when she walked in the bookstore. I also have been past her beach house at the shore. She never used to talk at her book signings to the group but she did use to talk to each person when they walked up to her for their book signing. very sweet person. Also her daughter Carol Higgins Clark.

I enjoyed most of the Mr Lemoncello books but just finished book 4 and found it to lacking what the first 3 had. I’m still going to read book 5 hoping it will go back to being like the original 3.

Not every book in a series can be an all star read. I will read the first one someday. haha.

I chose People We Meet on Vacation and Arsenic and Adobo this month - both outside my usual genre - and I absolutely loved People We Meet on Vacation. Now I need to read the author’s other book Beach Read. Have you read that? Loved both main characters in Vacation and found the book so cute and funny!
Beach Read is very good.
I did read Beach Read and really enjoyed it. I think there are some who didn't care for the language, but I don't remember that being an issue for me. I am excited for People We Meet on Vacation. I'd say I'll save it for a vacation read, but I don't have any trips planned!

Oh my word, Diane, I have so many ideas. I just loved Roll of Thunder by Mildred D Taylor in March. Anything by her or Christopher Paul Curtis would be good. The War That Saved My Life duology by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley would be good. Echo and Esperanza Rising by Pam Munoz Ryan, Kate Di Camillo is another author for sure. If you need more let me know!

Yeah, I don't ever watch the news. I don't turn on my tv and when I do watch something it's through a streaming service. No news for me. haha.
