- Since I had a long weekend I took a quick trip to Lancaster, PA to visit some friends and my cousin. I also got quite a bit of reading done for the Mystery & MAYhem readathon. It was a great weekend!

I don’t like walking, especially outside (I know I’m weird), so I especially like your music and walks through the gardens. And Little Dude’s voice is precious! I love Sally Hepworth and I think The Mother-in-Law is my favorite.

Went walking with a friend the other day. We were pretty close, but the kids grew up and we lost contact, other than comments on FB. But got back in touch and have been hanging out. It's feeling good being a schedule kind of in form, but wow that took a while! Getting ready to remodel the kitchen, all of it! New floor, walls, cabinets, possibly a fridge. Don't need one the one we've had for 30 years is fine, but we've talked about it. I'll tell you what it's going to be weird having cabinets. I have two double door cabinets, my food and dishes share cabinets 🙄. Ok, need to finish getting ready for work. Have a great day!

I love your weekend vlogs. I was surprised to hear that you’ve lived in Lancaster in the past. I lived in Ephrata for 3 years. I am from Central PA so we still spend time in Lancaster County. It’s a fun getaway, but they could use more book stores. 📚😉
I was in Lancaster for 6 years in my 30s. I loved it there. Yes, it could definitely use more bookstores!
I love that you read middle grade year round and not just March. The Marchmaker’s Gift sounds really good. I am really intrigued by how the rhubarb jam tasted.

I've really enjoyed all of Lynda Loigman's books so much! I've also read all of Sally Hepworth's books and am currently reading her newest, "Darling Girls". I'm forcing myself to finish it but it's my least favorite of hers BY FAR. Too much cursing plus a very depressing/sad/disturbing story line.
I have quite a few more Sally H books to read. But I do really like them. Bummer about the language in Darling Girls.
