Detailed review and rating of the Milwaukee PACKOUT Backpack, including pros, recommended improvements, and comparisons to several other bags I have used - such as Milwaukee's Ultimate Jobsite Backpack. Rating provided on PACKOUT Backpack features, quality, and pricing.
Also included is my design and build of a new PACKOUT Add-on Creation (PAC #6). This PAC has a combo purpose and can be used to attach the Ultimate Jobsite Backpack to a stack or as a low-profile compact tool and accessory tray.

Nice review Jake....Keep up the great work. Most organized tools I've ever seen!!
Thanks!
excellent video, just what ive been looking for.
Nice review and good tips along the way, keep up the great work!
Thanks for the support! Nice project yesterday!
Hi, it's nice and interesting to watch your videos about Milwaukee instruments. Your ideas for improving the backpack are very good and necessary. I would like to see even more tools from Milwaukee. Thanks for the work)
Thanks for watching!
Your tools are so clean almost like you don’t use them, ha ha. I just bought one of these wish it had another compartment, had a hard time fitting the tools from my 20” husky tool tote in it. Looking forward to see if it works out better
Currently carrying the ultimate job site pack, looking to convert to pack out backpack to fit my stack. Thanks for the review! Plumbing 🪠
Best video I have seen on this backpack, very informative, gave me some ideas too. Looking forward to adding this to my Milwaukee sets. Thanks a lot 👍 (Aluminium window installer & maintenance)
Thanks Mike! Hope you’re happy with your purchase!
I work in the same field, can you fit atleast 75% of your tools in the bag ?
As a property maintenance tech I have to have a little of everything and the pack out let’s me carry the pack out organizers. Best backpack I’ve owned yet.
Great to hear! Thanks for watching
Just bought the pack out backpack today and I really like how it attaches to a those cases. That feature right there is what sold me. This packout line pricey but it's so well thought out IMO.
Good review! Thanks
Nice to hear! I’ve found another awesome use for it is with the Packout vacuum on the bottom. Then you have a DIY backpack vacuum!
@@JakeWeihe that's a solid idea. A guy sure could put alot of money into Milwaukee tools lol
its a bit of an addiction.

Could you fit a circular saw in there?
@@teewithey5879 no, the back packs are more for hand tools. You could manage a couple M12 power tools and that's about it.
Best backpack toolbag I’ve used 👍
I have this bag and use it daily, found the clip for a tape measure breaks over time, my work buddy's found the same thing. It's also heavy without tools in it if walking allot compared to other bags, overall a good bag though
Best review thank you
I have this backpack and have been using it for about a month now. It’s great I recommend for anyone looking to buy it. The only thing is that you have to pack it lightly or else the bag becomes immensely heavy
Thanks for the comment! I agree with you! I like to pack light but my dads gets bag pretty heavy pretty fast.
i
I like the way you put the feet on the tray.
Great video buddy!
Thanks!
Good video. Do you collect tools? Nothing seems to have usage wear/tear on them.
I don’t think those two loops on the sternum strap are made for storage. Many of my hiking packs have a similar design, and it’s to give the strap some stretch and still have it very durable and not over stretch the elastic.
Ive been considering the Technicians Packout bag - more pockets, a protected hard shell pocket, a laptop area internally.
I think that’s a great alternative. I like how it has a laptop pouch
Could you plz upload another comparison video between milwaukee packout & Toughbuilt 18" trolley tool bag ? Thanks
I’d love to. If I had one. Maybe in the future I’ll pick one up. Make sure to be subscribed! Thanks
Great vid…btw is that a Metamora Redbirds shirt?
Thanks! It’s actually an Illinois State university shirt!
@@JakeWeihe ah Bloomington…about 60-70 miles from me…lol
Nice. My commute is about 130 miles from home haha
I have this bag and after 1 year of hard use the tape measure clip is falling off. I’m going to have to warranty the backpack or river a new clip myself but overall love the bag everything is very durable
I could see how the clip is failing after heavy use. Personally I would just Rivet it back on cause I wouldn’t want to deal with sending/receiving a new bag
Just got this bag for quick service, Only plan on storing a small amount of hand tools some electrical stuff, my tablet and camera and drone
Nice! I think I would prefer the Milwaukee job site bag if I was using it for a tech bag. There might also be another slimmer bag with a laptop pouch. The Milwaukee Packout tech bag might be a good option too.
@@JakeWeihe i wanted the packout part, incase i need to bring in some of my slim boxes. And something that went over both sholders
Nice love it have all tools needed for a job and well organized and everything in one place and easy to get to would love to own one
When I was doing low voltage work, we were setting up a wireless network and security cameras for an electrical supply retailer, I saw a Klein Tools "tech pack" that I wanted. I ask the price and none of them seemed to want to tell me, so they got the salesmen for me and he said, "It's $419 dollars for the electricians bag and $499 for the technicians bag with the carbon fiber laptop pouch". I almost laughed out loud in front of him.😂 They're down to just over $100 now. Lol
Woah! How long ago was that!?
@@JakeWeihe 2017. I think he was trying to scam me because we all pulled in there in brand new vehicles and expensive tools. I checked them online after he said that and I found the tech bag for $229. Now they're just over $100. Must not have been selling many. Lol
What is the model of the previous model that can fit a 15.6 inch laptop?
I think I was talking about the “Milwaukee Jobsite Backpack.” There is also the “Milwaukee Low Profile Backpack.” That one can carry a laptop but less tools. Cheers!
Using the low-profile organizer as a template holder for mounting the feet is so simple that it is absolutely genius. Made my current DIY idea a lot less nerve-wracking.
Do you sell any of your PACs or do 3d printing for hire? I'd like to come up with some dividers for my Packout Compact Toolbox.
nice!
can the packout backpack fit a 13inch laptop in the front electronic pocket?
I think it would be a tight fit. But doable.
Wish they had 2 big bags
Where did you get the packout feet from??
I 3D Printed them!
Nice
Witch milwaukee bag is the best for handyman
Do you have any other Packout?
Can you fit a grinder ?
Depends what else you put it in. And how big the grinder is
Sometimes even hand me downs aren’t that bad!
As a tech I was disappointed for your snack comment. I do however appreciate your review on the functions of the pack.
Does Milwaukee not make a hammer? That is the only tool you have that wasn't made by Milwaukee, besides the POS level. You should rub your tools in the dirt or something, everything is so shiny, new, and never been used. Great review though. Milwaukee makes great stuff.
Lol I actually don’t really like the feel of the Milwaukee hammers. And I like my variety of tools from different brands(MasterForce, husky, Kobalt). Thanks for worrying about the cleanliness of my tools lol, but I won’t be rubbing dirt on my tools anytime soon.
In my hot and humid country, water bottle is important. The back pack should be able to carry 1.5litre water bottle....
I agree. Stay hydrated out there. 🤟🏻
I can't believe there's no laptop pouch! I feel like that's an essential. Nice review though
There is a pouch, but may not be long enough for a 15 inch. Also, laptops or tablets have gotten smaller but still just as powerful, so maybe they felt a 15 in pouch may be too big. But I think they built this for construction workers, not necessarily for contractors. But I get what you’re saying.
If you use these bags for what they are built for there is no need for a laptop pouch. It would be simply a liability to keep precious items inside on the job.
Make a video about the vacuum for those of us who don’t have IG…Lol
You got it. Stay tuned! 👍🏻
Get into teenage tool addict!
They all below useless to me. I need one with a flap (and straps) to cover the zippers. I work remote, often outside by all weather, at least to get to the sight, and just in case the zipper lets go, as usual at the worst possible time.
That bag looks like it’s never been used just like the tools
Yet you watched my video… 🤔 thanks for commenting bud!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🥲
Yeah but you know what has been used a lot? Your mother and your wife. Tell them I said hi 👋
@@UnhumanNewman😂😂😂😂
@@UnhumanNewmandamm bro his wife too😂
If only they were pink
why would anyone need a laptop slot in a toolbag backpack
lots of people… if you don’t you’re obviously not a designer, engineer, or manager that cares about keeping details of a job digitally updated.
Do any of these tool organizers RUclipsrs actually work? There stuff is spot less.
Maybe. I just do a completely different type of work than u. And enjoy keeping my stuff as clean as possible
@@JakeWeihe what type of work do you do? I’d like spotless tools also. Maybe I am in the wrong line of work.
7.5/10 really bro 😑
What would u rate it then?
@@JakeWeihe from the videos I’ve watched and reviews I’ve read I would at least give it an 8-8.5
@@deadstar962 the average score is 8.5. It was 7.5 for just features, which I think could benefit from something unique.
@@JakeWeihe oh I didn’t see that part I thought overall you gave it a 7.5
Everything you have looks like it’s never been used
Ok and… ?
Lots of it is new. I was 19 at the time of this video. And Im not a contractor. I work on my own house and friends. And I use this bag as my traveling toolkit for Technical Theatre and circus work.
