Steve Lehto here on YT has a video regarding the world of travel vehicles. In short, "water heaters" have their own warranty. Drive line and chassis have their own warranty. It would seem like one has to understand the nature of the coach world before dipping a toe into it.

It is unbelievable how poorly you were treated and I commend you on your ability to stay calm
and handle the situation they placed you under.
Thanks again! I have been telling all my RV friends about your experience and they thank you as well for informing us buying public about which companies to avoid at all costs!

When a vendor refuses to honor their warranty, don't even waste your time arguing or having your lawyer send them a demand letter. Just sue them. You'd be amazed at how cooperative they can get once they realize that you're not going to take it lying down.

I had a similar tight problem . But it was my new pickup I got myself for retirement. It was taken to a GOODYEAR SERVICE CENTER to have the oil changed. It had 17,000 miles on it. During lunch my wife picked it up to go to the mall for lunch. Well the engine started to rattle and then shut (locked down) down. The guy that changed the oil forgot to refill the oil after he drained. He admitted. The manager said they put us a new engine in it. So he filled out a report for there Ohio office . We were in Greenville, SC . The guy there said no they would only rebuilt the lower end if the engine. The manager told them this was a new truck and wanted to have a new engine put in. We'll we got an attorney. He tells us there's nothing we can do about it. That they can't find a new engine with 17,000 miles on it. That made no sense to us. Well they rebuilt the lower end of the engine. And it wasn't long before the engine started rattling. I took it to a dealership. They looked at it the pistons could be moved around by hand . The engine should have been replaced or completely rebuilt. What I ended up doing was paid my $25.00 deductible and Ford replaced the engine. So, getting a lawyer doesn't always make things better. More money spent. Thank you FORD

To teach people to better themselves, improve their handyman skills and problem solving abilities through sales of unreliable, overly complex RVs. Thanks for being so honest and detailing your RV life trials and tribulations. Having an RV certainly creates many new problems and expenses in travel. Personally, I prefer to travel very light in a 1998 van with 123 K miles so I do not have to deal with endless repairs. Over the past 3 years, 12,000 miles, and 3 long 3,500 mile trips on both coasts, we broke down just 1 time when a shifter cable broke. That took 2 days to get repaired at a GM dealer and cost $450. We are clearly not as comfortable as you are when everything with the RV is working, but also not as uncomfortable when things go wrong. The highs are not as high and lows are not so lows! Instead we can spend 95% of our time enjoying the sights and outdoor activities.

I worked for a reseller of RV's that we bought at auction. Repaired them and resold them. Automatic Transfer switch failures are so common that we were more surprised when they worked on a used coach than if they didn't. House batteries going bad, engine batteries going bad, rubber roof failures. All common on 1 and 2 year old coaches.

I just found your channel. I feel your pain. I’ve been dealing with the manufacturer of my motorhome for a year. There is in fact a federal lemon law that covers motorhomes called “The Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act”. You should be able to locate an attorney in your area that is willing to represent you. I had no problem finding one.
I do have to ask, however, why did you purchase another coach without even looking at it? Did you know that there are motorhome inspectors that will perform a full pre-purchase inspection of the coach you are interested in and provide you with a full report? Just like a home inspector. I wish I had know about the inspectors before I made my purchase.
One other thing...The sway issue with your Jeep is most likely a problem with your tow bar. Have an shop that sells/installs your brand check it out.
Good luck. Im waiting to see the next video in your series.

Sorry to hear of your issues. We have had three brand new Tiffins over the past four years (We keep upgrading) and they have not been without their issues. Some have been big but in the end it has turned out fine because of the backing of Tiffin and their customer service. You can pick up the phone anytime and call the owner (Bob) and he will answer the phone 90% of the time. It's so extremely important to buy a coach that has your back when its in and out of warranty. Tiffin seems to be the only one left. I know you guys like the layout and look of the Eagle but maybe a Tiffin Zepher or Bus would fit you better for your next Motorcoach. If it breaks they will fix it in Alabama at the factory! They will treat you like you should be treated. Return your calls / emails fast and most importantly be respectful and get you back on the road fast. Please don't buy another American Coach. After support is the most important part of owning a motorhome but few know that until it's too late.

I would tell aAmerican Coach you hired a private investigator service and a law firm that specializes in these types of cases, and let them know this incident will ultimately cost them much more than fixing your Rv

Anything other than a Prevost or a Newell is just a styrofoam cooler covered in fiberglass bolted to a truck chassis. Just wait till it’s 5 or six years old😂

I listened to a RV mechanic talk about repairs. One thing he said was to put a serge protector on your RV cus if your staying in a RV park and 4 or 5 RVs leave you will get a power serge and it will blow out your power supply and or electrical system.

Many of the Diesel pushers come with surge protector transfer switches but they still recommend using a surge protector to keep that from blowing out because it's expensive to replace.

Fiberglass box on a chassis will never have as much engineering/quality control as a Class C with only the box made by an RV manufacturer....right now, either a Newell, Prevost, Entegra, Newmar, Tiffin or an older proven reliably manufactured brand with maintenance records might be the way to go....

I did think about getting one of those at one point until I started realizing that there are no reputable dealers out there for those once they get your money that's it you're kind of on your own so I just stay away from them I just assume rent a motel room. It's the new American way of course that has always been

I’m not sure if I have this proper but, I seen this video a few weeks back and I think it might be in Europe or a specific country but the warranty is only covered from the date of manufacturing not the date of sale. I guess they really mean it when you have to read the fine print.

Keep on them I just got my RV back after 4 years. Also find someone to file a lawsuit for you that’s when they first started anything. It’s extremely frustrating I know I have been constsly emailing them so I have a email trail on record with them saying things as well as all phone calls and visits recorded! Keep on them, blast them on the owners websites etc! You will eventually win I am sure these companies think they can get away with anything.

DEF problems are not restricted to your RV. Your not alone!
Every trucking company has continually spend thousands of dollars in repairs to emmission systems and they still don't work as intended. Another Ralph Nadier is required as none of the manufacturers have reliable diesel emmission systems!
The only things an owner can do reduce problems are:
    1. Use fresh DEF fluid, if it's more than 2 or 3 months old use it! Don't fill DEF tank up if your going to park for extended time. Fill with fresh before next trip.
    2. Do not idle engine unless necessary!
    3. When starting cold engine, soon as pre-trip completed start driving. Don't push engine hard until it's at operating temperature.
The catlytic converters (DOC, DPF and SCR) require high heat to clean themselves. Engines with no load or light loads have cool exhaust temperatures, allowing the soot to coat the honeycomb designs of converters.
So it's best to avoid idling, much as possible.
Low loading will eventually require will a manual re-gen.
Also keep your oil changes to low milages as the EGR system uses soot laden exhaust to lower Nox.
Soot laden exhaust introduced onto intake side contaminates the engine oil...

After seeing your videos, I'm really scared to buy an American Coach. We are actually looking at a 2021 American Eagle...$500K.
Makes me wonder if Newmar London Air or Essex might be the better choice.

What seems odd is that the OBD-II should retain the fault history. I don't know Class A's, but I presume they're OBD-II, too. Even if cleared, there should be some diagnostics in the history that could be pulled.

Whatever that thing costs, divide by the cost of an average flight and you could see the world. What you spend on fuel you could stay in really nice hotels and eat like a king. Add to that you have none of the stress of driving. WIN, WIN, WIN
