    Wonderful tutorial! Can you please teach us how to layout the page and print art as a greeting card if we have a pre-scored 5x7" card? I'm so stuck!

    This is a great tutorial. I am having issues with separating the two rectangles around minute 2:36. Thank you.

    • @createthecut
      @createthecut  Год назад +1

      Hi, thank you so much for the kind words. When separating the rectangles, ensure only the top one is highlighted in the layers panel. If you have accidentally selected both, they will both move to the new position. I hope that helps solve your issue.

      Create the Cut is it necessary to keep the guidelines so they print? It's the only step I am getting caught on

    Hi! I have just completed your course which is FABULOUS! For some strange reason, I am not getting my pen stroke properties to display. eg the properties pane to change pen line from solid to dashed or change its colour, is not showing on my screen. Do you have any suggestions for a fix? Many thanks for any assistance :)

    Hmmmm not sure if this is an A6, when I google the size of A6 it is 4.5 inches by 6.25 inches which is 114 mm by 158. I just received my A6 envelopes in the mail and the card I made up here with your dimensions was a bit small for the envelope. Just thought I would mention incase anyone else was making them. However the tutorial was great!!

      Ah, thanks for your comment Rachael, we are based in the UK and so our standard A6 size is 105mmx148mm. Sorry for the confusion (will update our description) hope everything still turned out ok. Glad you enjoyed the tutorial though.

    Thanks for an awesome video! Which printer are you using for printing cardstock?

    • @createthecut
      @createthecut  5 лет назад +1

      Hi, we just use a normal HP Printer for home projects but anything we send out we get professionally printed, its actually not too expensive and the quality is far superior. Try looking for a local printer, you can save your card as a PDF and take it on a memory stick or upload it to an online printers. Hope that helps.

    How will they look when printed? What kind of paper do I use?

    • @createthecut
      @createthecut  5 лет назад

      They should print very similar to how you see it on Photoshop. I recommend using a thick white or cream card, make sure it is something that your printer can take, your printer manual may have guidance as to how thick a weight it can handle. Hope that helps.

    I am trying to use the move tool but then all my rectangles disappear :( . Lost at minute 2.09

    • @createthecut
      @createthecut  6 лет назад +2

      Hey Pilar, when creating the rectangles have a look at the top left corner option called "stroke", if you see a white box with a red line through it then it means you have no colour set. This may cause your rectangles to "disappear", try setting a colour for the stroke. Hope that helps.

    in my photoshop there's non a4 option, there's only width and height option, can you give me the specific size "the width and height size" ?

    • @createthecut
      @createthecut  8 лет назад +1

      At 300 dpi (print) A4 is 2480 X 3508 pixels or 210mm X 297mm

    how can i get all the guidelines if i want to create an A5 christmas card please, i started a realised i didnt have extra space lol , and if i select international paper i cant get anything bigger than a4

    • @createthecut
      @createthecut  7 лет назад +2

      Hey, A5 is basically an A4 sheet folded in half so you won't need the other guides, you will only need a guideline for your center. Hope that helps.

    when i make a rectangle it doesn't make a new layer for me should i create a new layer and then put the rectangle on it ?

    • @createthecut
      @createthecut  4 года назад +1

      It's good practice to keep all your elements on separate layers, so yes I would create a new layer and then create the rectangle on that new layer.
