2024 DIRTSURFERZ X LEMONADE FLOAT FEST EXCURSION RACE

- After a long weekend of practice and racing on some fast and gnarly trails in central Texas, we ended it with a 5.5 mile Excursion Race. So many of us were battered and sore, but didn't want to miss out on the fun. Follow along in my helmet cam as I have stumble after stumble, but keep getting back on board and end up having an insane finish! After getting rear-ended at the beginning pileup and falling on my ass while getting propelled by another board, I had some making up to do. My top speed during this race was 36.7 on my homemade VESC board, and it was clearly a game changer on the straightaways. Time to start working on my leg strength and endurance over the next few weeks before Dirtsurferz in Eureka Springs!

My build is on WTF steep N Deeps with BANGs, kush high in back, Kush low in front, Ignite 4mm grip on both. Battery is a tprque pack in a torque box in the rear, and a 2s2p of matching P42a's in the front with a custom balancing harness made my ZBatteries. Controller is a Little FOCer 3.1 mounted on ceramic mosfet plates to a copper plate, then to the metal lid of a Fungineer 3D printed box with a BKB Voyager remote receiver inside. The motor is a V1 superflux with a Burris BTG TX11 mounted with lowering axle blocks, made by Kyle Klausing. On the ends I have titanium Owl lifters by Overlander. There is not a single part on this board that was made or designed by FM.

So you remember that tire was leaking FAST, so I started the race on the leaky BTG on 18 psi and ended on 5

I did the race at 7psi and I definitely could tell it affected my top end speed around the end

By the way, the red tape was already cut when you passed, so was one of the 5 guys in front of you at that part of the race that run into it or could be a biker also …

This is amazing footage. His peers chose to stay up right and finish with the same time, but this racer chose to go faster but bash and crash about 10 timers LMAO. This racer chooses violence with himself!! Overshoots every single corner LMAO.

Thanks dude! Yeah I practice getting back up and going again, and it has improved my time immensely! It used to take me like 10 seconds from the start of the fall to motor engagement, but now I’m averaging only 4 seconds 💪

yeah some I just over sped because the straight line drag race was just so much fun lol. Other times, my legs just refused to obey their commands because they were "too tired" or something lame like that.😂
