If this will be your only Mac at home and for travel, you should save up for the M3 Pro! By the time you're ready to buy, there might be an M4 Pro by then which will then lower the price of M2 Pro! I had the 14-inch M3 Pro and it was amazing for desktop and mobile work. But I do love these Airs since they're soooo light (even the 15-inch)

By travel a lot, you mean office to house ?? I have a windows desktop at home and I want a laptop for Photoediting in Lightroom Classic. It's gonna be a daily lug around laptop so that I can finish my photo edits whenever and where ever .. Is the 13 preferable for this scenario ??
No, I flew 37 times and over 80,000 miles last year 😅 - I think 13” is more than enough to edit photos in Lightroom. My only suggestion for Lightroom or any content creation is to configure your laptop with more RAM. 16GB should be okay, but if you can do 24GB. This would last you for years and won’t have to upgrade for another 4-5 years.
I’m going into college later this fall as a freshman and really I only plan to use a new laptop for school use only. Would you recommend the MacBook Air 13 M2 or M3?
If you can get the M2 with 512GB SSD for a really good price go for that. Otherwise, go for M3. Would highly recommend upgrading specs cause base is just not enough to get you through college. I’m sure you’ll have multiple tabs, windows etc open. 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD is the key!

@@bryanmz05 no should have just got a MBP with 18GB. But arguably, RAM is king, more performance, less swap. So 24GB is the fastest it will ever be. It’s just the MBP is significantly better and faster in every way.

Sticking one cover of those Dbrand thing look like a full time job. Not for me XD
Great comparison. You think the Air will ever get promotion display?
Don’t think so. That’s one of the biggest difference between air and pro
what's up with 60Hz refresh rate, such nice laptops with sluggish refresh rate.
120hz is strictly restricted to pro models, that's one of the most important factors that make pro, well pro ;D
The skin on you macbook is sickkkk at 9:20 … can I kno where you got it from?
Dbrand
Hi there..
Just wanted to ask...
Should i go with M3 15" base variant or the upcoming Snapdragon X elite laptops?
I’d say wait for now if you can. The 15” Air is awesome, but depending how X Elite performs. There’s some benefits going that route for the future.
Which color do you suggest silver or midnight in 13”?
As much as I like the midnight color, Silver is truly undefeated.
@@HeyMarkL so is it silver or midnight?
Go silver!
@@HeyMarkL do some university apps require windows laptop precisely??? I just got the midnight air today & they are saying get a windows laptop😭😭😭
@@hamletgolucky3628which career are you studying? I’m currently studying Software Engineering, requieres a lot of coding but i do it with MacBook
Hi there bud need to ask something I’m been trying to buy a Mac book for editing and that will last me long time what would you recommend also the pro its a lot of money but let me know thanks mate
For video editing… you can buy used or refurbished M1 Pro or M2 Pro MacBook Pro. As long as it has 16GB RAM and minimum 512GB SSD you’ll be good.
@@HeyMarkL thanks they little pricey I’m probably gonna drop the $2000 on the m3 pro with 18ram and 512gb
@@HeyMarkL I’m back I got another question would you recommend Macmini pro m2 ?
@@Garaneru I got a Mac Mini M2 with 32GB of ram and a 1 TB drive off of the Apple Refurbished store for $1000, it’s been rock solid. I just recently added an 15” M3 Air for travel, but I can’t recommend the Mini enough, great machine!
@@DerekRobinsonTech Dam haha well I got the MacBook Pro m3 and I’ll say I love it no regrets on buying it
By travel a lot, you mean office to house ??
Why so much ram and storage space
Apple, please stop giving us choices!
its tiring and kind of too many already, unless i heard interesting one i wont write anything else
Do you think 8gb of RAM is enough for someone that usually uses it to browse the web?
Yep. Good enough for that!
Is there a difference in keyboard size/typing feel?
Eh, not really. They're the same size keycaps and have the same travel distance per key. You will have more space for your palms though on the 15"
Has anybody played the sims 4 on this mac? xD how did it go?
is that true 15" so hot ??
It will get warm since it's fanless, but it's not too hot!
@@HeyMarkL thanks for the reply, also let’s say I were to get the 8GB ram to start off with can I always upgrade to the 16 GB Ram and 512 SSD online on the same laptop?
@@elxctrogg1002 Unfortunately you cannot upgrade RAM or SSD on a MacBook however, you can always get an external SSD, So I recommend that you buy the extra RAM.
I bought a MBA13 24GB/1TB, massive mistake, I should have got a MBP 14. The machine as just not anywhere close to the MBP. 8GB is not enough, so by the time you’ve upgraded to at least 16 and 512, you might as well get the pro
Don’t buy
shoudlve gotten 16gb on the M3
@@bryanmz05 no should have just got a MBP with 18GB. But arguably, RAM is king, more performance, less swap. So 24GB is the fastest it will ever be. It’s just the MBP is significantly better and faster in every way.
"so by the time you’ve upgraded to at least 16 and 512, you might as well get the pro" well not really, where I live, for the price of an air m3 16/512, I can only buy a pro 8/512, and it seems to me that 8gb of ram in such a laptop is not enough, and the 16/512 version costs $500 more
@@squatch4517 RAM and SSD upgrade costs are the same on both machines, so you still have parity and it still means the MBA isn’t worth it, nor does it have the same power. Therefore value prop statement is the same. MBA makes no sense at all. If it was 1k for 16/512, fair enough, but it’s not, that’s $1600 with tax vs $2000
Always get the MBP..
15 inch all day long 👍🏻
No diddy lol
If am I looking for Photoshop stuff, word, excel, lots of movies nights and tv shows and some games, do u recommend me 16 gb ram version of MB air 15? And is it possible live with extra disc?
16GB is totally fine for what you're looking for. You can always get an external SSD if your internal hard drive is running low :)
I do not play music on my laptop anymore.. A real entertainment unit sound much better
those skins look REALLY bad
Should I get iPad Pro m4 or a MacBook Air m3
Mac
just can't agree more!🤩
That was the best video, thank you 🩷
