      You should hear her in her normal speaking voice. It was deeper and even more sultrier in my opinion. The baby voice she did for the movies was for the "Marilyn Monroe" effect. And also to sound a lil more ditzy...which she hated cause she was highly intellectual and bright.

      Do women like a smart man abusing em as well?

    • @BoopSnoot
      @BoopSnoot 2 года назад +59

      @THE BADASS Men don't hate women that are educated, it has to do with the attraction to "exploitability". If a man sees two women that are equally attractive, but one is drunk, he is more likely to go after the drunk one because his chances of success are much higher. Likewise, if a man sees two equally attractive women, but one is playing dumb, he probably thinks that again she's more exploitable and is willing to swing the bat and give it his best shot. A woman that is both attractive and seems very intelligent is like presenting a man with a smooth faced tower to climb to get to her, with no guarantee of reward, most will just avoid the poor risk to reward calculation and pass her over. The reason that women care more about intelligence than men is because a man is primarily just looking for sex, so she just needs to be as young and attractive as possible. Women by contrast can get sex without trying, so they tend to look for resources, and an intelligent man in modern society is much more likely to be a good provider. Even wealthy women today will usually find a man that has less income than herself to be unattractive, and that's not the man's fault, that's just a million years of evolutionary pressure that tells us that eggs are more valuable than sperm and as such a woman should never "date down". And this isn't all a burden to women, as the top 75% of women can easily find a mate leaving only 25% lonely, but with males only the top 25% will get dates with most of the women leaving 75% lonely. Its like that with most mammals, where the females only want the best males, so the peacocks get all the action, but most of the guys get beaten up and wander off bruised and battered and lonely while even the slightly below average females get a turn with the best male.

      All very logical. She knows full well its far easier to keep a relationship healthy if they are at least well-off enough to not suffer the stress of financial hardship. And given the time period, her primary mechanism of assuring her financial well-being was going to be through her husband. So while emotions would of course play a big role in it, she was canny enough to realize that it had to be weighed against practical considerations for both their sake. Men often look at women’s appearances before their personality. High chance he gave her a second glance because she’s a beautiful girl and wanted to be with her just for that alone at the time. And in her case she saw his financial situation and was attracted to that and sought him out but actually grew to like him as a person because he listened to her and she truly adored him for appreciating her as a woman. You can approach a relationship with shallow expectations and leave on it appreciating the person as they are.
    And even the daughter line is a good one too cause I’d venture most fathers would prefer their daughters with someone who is good to them. And being financially stable is a good step.
    She’s admitting they’re both shallow but they also still love each other deeply and that looks and money aren’t the only factor in their relationship being successful but they opened the door.

Wonderful thing in the world is having someone that truly love you and stuff and genuine connection that's not conditional or built on these things basically gold digger who doesn't like ppl for who they such shallow women I guess
      To be very happy is hurting someone for selfish pleasure is sad and immoral

      Marilyn Monroe or Norma Jeane used to stutter and a speech therapist told her to speak in more of a whisper because people usually don't stutter when they whisper or sing. This is why she speaks softly in most of her movies, not all, she was trying to calm herself to relieve her former stutter and it worked. She stuttered as a child, again later as a pre-teen, I believe. She speaks about this in one of her interviews and it's written in some of her biographies! ❣

    This is actually my favorite scene of any Marilyn Monroe movie there is. Truly showed Marilyn Monroes' true side really. She was in real life a pragmatic, logical, intelligent woman despite the roles given to her. It was said she surrounded herself with many books, particularly science books. She was truly ahead of her time, which was why she ended her life too soon. 🥺😔 People ahead of time usually are in so much pain they rather die than continue to live a lie by societys' standards and ways. May she be at peace wherever she is.

    So I am taking a deep Breath. For the new fans or no fans of Marilyn Monroe. Marilyn Monroe is an act. The entire persona is an act. Her real name is Norma Jeane Mortenson. She played in movies under her real name earlier in her career. Her hair is not naturally white blonde, but red. The voice she uses as Marilyn is not her real voice either. That is why to me she IS one of the best actresses that ever lived she acted the he** out of Marilyn. To the point that some of you all really believe that Marilyn is who she is.
    It is one of the many problems she had in her relationships, at home she wanted to Norma but her husbands and boyfriends wanted Marilyn outside of her ex husband or boyfriend Joe the famous baseball player. They broke up because he was jealous. The picture that is so famous of her in the white dress and the wind was blowing the skirt up was the last straw. The documentary says he was jealous but i also think that he did not like the way the world saw her. Plus he was the person that rescued her from the crazy house when the people "closest" to her had her committed because she no longer wanted to be in the public light.
    She was so good at playing Marilyn that she had no place, just to be herself. Her life story is sad. But this queen will always go down as one of the best underrated actresses to me.
    God bless stay safe :)

    I hate, absolutely despise that I'm only now seeing this scene for the 1st time today. Marilyn has always been an icon but not once have I seen how much of a queen she was until now. This should be THE scene she was known for. A single 2 minute clip has encouraged me to go back and actually watch her films for once.
