@Upstairs can you please describe in couple of sentences what you did between 1:51 - 2:10? I tried slowing it down to 0.25, but it's not just that it's fast, but you obviously used some keyboard shortcuts that you forgot to mention. Thanks

Hi OU Graphics, I really love your content is clear and thoughtful. It seems very efficient the way you use AI, would you do a AI pen tool and shape tool tutorial?
Love your tutorial. I'm an architect as well. Sometimes the lines of the pdf I exported from sketchup are segmented, they are very hard to be connected in Illustrator. Does that happen to you or how to fix it. Thank you!
Alright! So, what I did was: copied every object (ctrl + c) and then pasted on another layer, with the shortcut ctrl + shift + v. After that, select these pasted options and under the pathfinder tab, add them all. Now all you gotta do is change the new object created to only stroke. I hope I clarified that! You can use RUclips's built in function to slow down the video. You can make it 0.25x of the real speed
can u show me how u did? very fast video and i dont undterstand. and what u did? which shortcuts do u used? i cant see any training video. its only showreel
Sorry Ziya, this is an old video. Newer ones I've fixed it, I inserted the keys pressed. You can also use RUclips's built in feature to slow down the video
hi, I wonder how you could select the outside shape of the graphic in Illustrator quickly. I tried to replay your video. The move is around 3:40~4:00. It seems that you could do it at a fast speed. thx~
Shiyun Lin Hey there! So, what happens in that time stamp was this. I used the shortcut *A* (which is a selection tool) to select the points of the shape. You click once to select it and then click again, hold and drag to the desired position. I hope I could clarify it, if not, please let me know!
Hello! Thanks for the tutorial! Do you think about making a video about useful sketch-up plugins for architecture? And do you use a drawing pad and what are your recommendations? ı wonder your opinion. :) Thanks !
Nice and cool of your channel, so far I like them so much! And would really try to learn from your channel, can you have the key notes on the videos as well? As you speak too fast or just miss some important steps or techniques , but overall thanks a lot!!
This maybe a stupid question: how accurate do you model the buildings around the project site? I want to do this for my project but don’t have time to do research on all the surrounding buildings pertaining their height and overall dimensions. Thank you.
Hi, love the axo! For the basic graphic swatches and all that's in your swatch library, did you import these and create your own? If so, how did you do this?
Thanks! Well, the colors swatches is exactly what I did in the video. I went to colourlovers and got me a pallette that suited my needs, then using the color picker I've transfered to small rectangles that I created as samples. After that, you have to select all of these color samples and click on the little folder under the swatches tab. Now for the patterns, they already come with Illustrator by default. So just make sure you follow the steps to open its tab. Hope that helps! If not, please hit me up! Cheers!
Ji! You have to drag and drop as if you were creating a new file! Or simply go to File > Open and choose your PDF. Because if you drag and drop into an existing Ai, it will indeed come as an image. Let me know if you got it right!
Hi Raffaele! I'm not sure, never tried. But I'm afraid it isn't possible. Pdf will capture lines and shapes. To export the shadows you will need to use .png or .jpg
Thank you! Since the trees are made only with simple shapes, you can draw using a mouse and a pen tool or brush tool in Illustrator. But I just recently bought a graphics tablet from wacom that I'm testing it out. I got the small art version. Another tip that I can give you it to get one tree that you like from pinterest and paste the image into Illustrator so that you can trace it out.
How can I make models like this? i'm trying to learn but my sketchup always ends up duplicating things, or erasing things without me making anything like that, it drives me crazy...
That set of cars were downloaded from the web, I've searched for "Isometric Cars" in vector files. Then I took off the fill and changed the stroke to that light blue color. Also, I gave it a thicker outside stroke using ctrl + c / ctrl + shift + v and adding all the surfaces. Just make sure the cars are in vector files and in isometric view.
I watched so many times even at 0.25 rate.... but couldn't do what you did. Couldn't do the contour... I think I'm missing some essential basic techniques... very frustrated
No, it's sped up 200% to 300% depending on the part. If I were to upload in real time, you guys would get bored fore sure, and the video would take probably an hour of work. I recorded and then did the voice over later.
Hi Masoud! Sorry about that. You can use RUclips's built in feature to slow down the video up to 0.25x. Also, newer videos are slower and more detailed. This one is old
I followed your tutorial and did a nice diagram! thank you! always learned alot from you guys!
amo cada vez mais esse canal

Obeigado Luciano!
Thank you for the video, and for the Portuguese subtitles, it's very helping us
cool result!
Some of the tips are really useful! Thnkss!
I'm glad I could help! Thanks!
Again. Simple, straightforward and clean.
Perfect... Thanks
(Can you provide some links to download complete free vector objects)
Thank António!

Hey Paul! Thank you! Alright! I was already planning on doing some more Illustrator tutorials! I'll add this topic to the list!
Thank you :) !
it's a great job! I want to do something like this!)
Please do it and send it to me on my instagram! I'd love to see!

how do u got the picture of the webside into illustrator?
Cool af thanks!
what style have u used in sketchup that is all white?
could you explain more specifically on the contour line part? i couldnt follow cause it was too fast.

This looks cool and trendy. But in a professional project presentation would you use it?
Hey Diego, this style usually works best for competitions, more conceptual work and for university projects
Olá , quero adquirir seu curso , porém lá no site pra passar o cartão não vi opção de parcelar .

it is showing only 1 layer when i export to illustrator. Di you do any setting in sketch up?
Priyanshi, the file will come as one layer indeed. Then the next step is dividing into as many layers as you need using the technique of "select same"
@@LearnUpstairs So why did you skip this essential step in the video then?
how did you cut that unwanted area 4:45?
is there a way to snap with line tool?

I did not understand the first fills and strokes part layer 1and layer 2
In other videos he seems to skip this step and just highlights the fill and hits D
Heby, How do you get the sketch up model to have vectors in Ai?
Hey Zoe! You have to export the Skp into a EPS file or PDF. Then, just drag and drop into Illustrator

hi, is this sketcup pro you are using? I have the trial version and I don't seem to be able to export it as an editable pdf.
Yes, it is the pro version. I think the trial, or the old sketchup Make version don't have this option to export as PDF

My sketchup model consists of only the strokes layer and no fills layer. How can I fix this?
same here :(
I first export to .dwg, then in autocad I can correct things a little easier
Can I do the same thing on photoshop?
Absolutely! It might be harder to deal with line work in Photshop and it will take you a bit more time, but it is doable for sure!
How do you take the car and turn it into a line drawing?

just a request to slow them down a bit or make it in a series , very quick to understand and slowingdown makes it painfully slow
You can use RUclips's playback settings to slow it down if you need to. It is possible to even choose what exactly speed you need. 0.75, 0.5 or 0.25
Yeah but then you start sounding like a drunk !
Can you please do it a bit slower and show us a step by step tutorial
