- Welcome to JINGLE JAM 2020 The biggest charity gaming event organised by one group! It is a super special charity event as not only can you donate to charity but when you donate £25 you get a bundle of video games worth over $500!!! So what are we doing today well we are taking part in a lovely competetive game of Open TTD or open transport tycoon deluxe! A transport tycoon video game where you have to exploit your friends in order to overtake them on the profit graphs! We will be exploiting the game to destroy all other competition and become the richest ceo on the planet with our planes, trains, boats and useless road vehicles! We will be playing on a super special UK map that we can manipulate and destroy! Like removing wales!!!! I will be playing with the yogscast so anything could happen!

I think Spiff regretted not recording when he exploited the game last year.
While I understand this is what he does, it wasn't particularly nice having him be silent for 90% of the time, exploiting the game that others were trying to have fun with, while not even contributing to the Jingle Jam stream.
It was basically them, and Spiff playing a singleplayer game.
I wouldn't have minded him exploiting the game if he was joining in with the other yogs, as was the case last year. Last year it was funny because although he was exploiting, he acted as everything was normal and played off their frustration which for me was entertaining. Just radio silence this time round.

I live between those two and "literal manifestation of shit". (I live in the middle of nowhere, in a small farming town - Sleaford, so ok, maybe not nowhere, but barely above that.)

I just love how twitch chat can't handle Spiff winning even though he's not cheating. It was like this last year with Civ and now with this, its great.

@@georgehh2574 Well, he chimed in every now and then, and was entertaining his own stream. I'd even argue that this was not an exploit. He was still playing by the game's rules, as opposed to last year where he just generated money out of thin air by using two companies. I think people really underesitmate the fact spiff is actually pretty good at strategy games when he's not exploiting them, so that any time he does find a good strategy, it is immediately labelled as 'an exploit'. The latest mount and blade vid, now that was an exploit. This was just funneling goods in a particular direction.
And two streams on different platforms increase visibility.

And yes, he is actually real good PLUS in love with all kinds of exploits.
@@Minox_ No doubt he's good at these types, but it's clear that he was intentionally exploiting the game, hence the title.
It's pointless for him to play with them if
1) He's going to use exploits (unintended use of game mechanics is the definition of exploits) that ensures he will crush everyone.
2) He doesn't communicate during the stream (except for the start and end of the stream) which makes streaming with others kind of pointless.
In a way, it's like he used the other yogs and the charity stream for his own benefit, without contributing to the spirit of Jingle Jam.
Why didn't he just stream a singleplayer game of OpenTTD on his channel?
He could even have had his own Jingle Jam stream all about exploiting against others, as long as exploiting was expected.
I like how the few smatterings of conversations with lewis doesnt really lead on to how absolutely pissed drunk he is

Since I watched this stream ive been playin OpenTTD nonstop. So much so that last night I had a legitimately terrifying nightmare about trains strikes.

I learn this neat trick: for a city to grow faster you need a minimum of 5 stations operating in that particular city. Build 5 bus stations in a loop and let 2-3 buses go to those 5 stations, you'll see the city's growth rate skyrocket regardless of the number of passengers being transported.
I saw my home town, this makes me all warm and jiggly inside.

I did not expect to hear spiff speak about the grand pier at weston-super-mare (7:34) (which they have since rebuilt) I remember seeing about how it burnt down, I have been on it both before it burnt down and after it was rebuilt, cause I used to go there on holiday all the time.

It's a bit weird. Transport Tycoon was one of the first games I've ever played. And even now, 25 years later, it's still one of my favorites.

OpenTTD is a community remake of Transport Tycoon Deluxe so that it runs on modern systems, and that was released in 1995. They tried to match the graphics and gameplay as closely as possible.
So at 2:44:52 i did that calculation in spiff had 2,824,000 pounds converted to 2021 is roughly 346,578,843.94 in modern money. Totally balanced indeed.

My ancestors once dumped tea into a harbor during a protest. (86% English/Welsh, 14% Irish) I still prefer my coffee. Even my favorite alcoholic beverage is a Black Russian. 3 parts vodka, 1 part coffee liqueur. I have already donated 25 (L with a line through it) Pounds to Eyegaze. I do prefer my iced tea in the Summer. I do like an Earl Grey now and again for breakfast, so I am not anti-tea, but you will never take my coffee. Cheers!
