In my opinion 5w40 better for the engine , because RS4/5 has specifications for this type of oil! I used it on my S4 b9 stage 2 and change every 7000 km.
@@TNT_Creations if you drive dynamically and make launch starts, this is exactly the interval you need, when under load, the oil quickly loses its characteristics
Yup, you can reach it from below, its protected by panel. There are about 10 or so torx screws and two 13mm bolts that attach the panel to the car. When you remove that, you should easily see reach it.
Did you changed the rocker arms ? Im planning to buy it soon and I saw a lot of videos in which this part is fragile, and they updatet it with a new one in 2019,
@@TNT_CreationsI’ve seen it quoted around $2000-4000 but I’ve also heard some Audi dealers won’t touch it unless it’s a problem. You just gotta watch out for the signs of the rockers failing
@@julianlamme8627 aaahh that's steep!! And what are the signs if you can tell me? I didn't check the details for it, just read that it might be a problem..
Car sits very low, so it's hard to reach drain valve if you don't have some sort of lift. But if you have lift and a wide pan to collect the oil, of course you can do it without a pump.
HI from PORTUGAL 🇵🇹,i have One AUDI A5 2017 GOOD CAR💪
@@xxrngadokillerxxMS Hello from Croatia 🇭🇷😁 yes that's a great car. I know you are enjoying every time you drive
Good job. Thank you for the instructional video👍 Beer break 👍😁
Thanks 😁 yup, always find few minutes for a beer break
Same procedure on my B9 A5 2.0. It takes me just as long to warm the engine up as it does to change the oil.
@@erik5024 you said that perfectly 😆 you open a beer and finish with oil change before you even drink it.

Nice, didn't know that. Thanks for the info. But change every 7000km sounds little bit pricy

@@Klymenko1927 yup, I get it. Always thought that 2 year interval is a bit long for a sports car
@@TNT_Creations man what should I say, I change my oil every 5000km LOL

Is there a drain bolt at the bottom if you don’t have the extractor? If you can drain from bottom, it will be a little harder but $70 cheaper.

I never saw you put the new o ring back on.
It's on 05:35, check it out

Glad you find it helpful, thanks!
Do I have to buy the oil filter at Audi dealer? Or can I just buy it at local parts shop?
You can buy it at Audi and also online if you search for it by part number. As I remember I saw OEM filter on amazon or ebay
Just buy Mann Filter. That’s OEM.
u cant not change the filtre oil completly ?
What do you mean?
If you mean the cap, no, that’s just for protection of the filter. No need to replace that. It’s probably expensive as well.
Filter za ulje dali je bitno kako ga okreniti jer obadvije strane izgledaju isto?Pozdrav.
Da, iste su strane, tako da svejedno kako okreneš. Bitno je da klikne i sjedne kako treba.
Do you have to vacuum pump the oil out or is there a pan underneath?
No pan needed, just extract it with pump, it's much easier and faster.
The socket is incorrect…. It’s way too big, are you sure this is correct? Or perhaps the link needs to be updated?
32 mm is correct size. I bought it just for oil change
@@TNT_Creations 32mm is correct but this link takes you to something different, not sure why.
@@eternal2k4 oh yeah, you are correct. It seems that seller changed the product on this link.. I'll change it and put correct one. Thanks for info 👍🏼
@@TNT_Creations you’re welcome
Why do you have a check engine light
I think it has something to do when hood is popped up. Nice spot
It’s because the car wasn’t on , every cars engine light is on when only the ignition is on.
Why buy a oil extractor pump when you just drain the oil from underneath the car
Car sits very low, so it's hard to reach drain valve if you don't have some sort of lift. But if you have lift and a wide pan to collect the oil, of course you can do it without a pump.
Because it’s a total pain in the ass. Even the dealerships use the extractor pump.
