I think Build-a-bear might have seen this video, because they now coast $30-$60 depending on which one you’re getting, and that’s without the clothes and accessories.
Either that or they just increased the price out of corporate greed. Or inflation. Or both.
Probably both.
They also charge for the box they come in now! It’s like 90 cents and they’re way smaller now too!
not in the UK,it's still quite cheap here
the themed ones especially are expensive. i just went to a build a bear to look around and the isabelle plush from animal crossing is like $30 without clothes.. like what? and just writing this comment makes me realize how many mlp plushes from build-a-bear i used to have.. no wonder i stopped getting them after i had 4 😭
Are they all different? Because for years I thought Twilight, Rainbow, and Fluttershy were the only MLP build-a-bears they made.
Also, your parents let you have four?! I only have two MLP build-a-bears, and one of them was originally my brother’s before he gave it to me. And I remember being so disappointed when we got them because they didn’t have Applejack (I think they told me they didn’t make Applejack ones), so they only had Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash, and my brother was getting Rainbow so I had to settle for Twilight. He got his favorite pony, so it seemed unfair that I couldn’t get my favorite pony, and now if I want Applejack and Rarity plushies I’m going to have to make them myself because it’s just too expensive otherwise.
£12.50 here LOL
the stuffed animal part is facts
Yh
I have a bear I've had for 8 years so far IM TEN RN! My brother threw a lot of his AWAY! I have more now
I know it’s so true
FACTSSS!
I have some to this day
This man summed up my childhood in 8 minutes
parent: it’s just a stuffed animal it doesn’t have feelings
kids: *turns head slowly* HOW DARE YOU INSULT MY CHILDREN
*not the fact that that is me, I worship my stuffed animals 🫡*

@Sarah Carrollathat was me on a one day trip 😭
@Sarah Carrolla I feel called out 💀
A hamster is more than “a rat that’s gonna die in two years” it’s a responsibility and recent studies show hamsters need LOTS of room.
Yes that so true I have a hamster
Dude really said “Um acccctually 🤓”
I have a mouse, it's pretty easy
0:15 - 0:19 Most relatable
I always knew my stuffed animals had feelings
For me one of the things that were normal in elementary but now seem wierd is after we finished lunch we had to put our head down
What is it
@@Frogking420 they said it in the comment
I’m ten and I was worried that I was going to be poor and living on the sidewalk when i grow up, until this guy told me how cheep everything is! Lol.
Prices are going up on everything, we may all be poor and living on sidewalks as adults
im proud of you kid
Prices keep going up, by the time you’re 30 I wouldn’t be surprised if gas costed $15 a gallon. Good luck kid, you’re gonna need it.
@@Jaxnay219 yup
@@GRE4S3RSS That’s why I’ll try and get fit and marry a rich man or a guy with an apartment
Love the fish tank mention…makes me have hope he keeps his fish in proper tanks with proper equipment given the electricity mention haha
The number of times you deduced that your parents treated essentially Kool-aid as if it was worth its weight in gold to control your sugar intake has me rofl🤣🤣🤣
dont get me wrong, the Hawaiian punch is great, except my school didn’t refrigerate it and it was warm
................eugh
*💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀*
lol I was at the grocery store w my dad when I was a kid and we went to the candy section and we were getting fruit snacks and I asked if I could get gushers and my dad said “no those are for rich kids” and my sister said “and theses aren’t?!”
I could listen to you all day..so funny...are you sure those are your own teeth 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 thank you for brightening my day!!
the stuffed animal one is the most relatable by far
ur amazing Scott! 😊
The stuffed animal part: Same!
I remember When I was a little kid I thought candy was 100$ but they were actually 1 dollars I thought it was 100$ since it said 1.00
idea: PILLOWS!!! sure some can get expensive but you can buy a functioning pillow at target for $5!
Once I brought those protein lunchables to school for lunch, but I hated the turkey so I gave it to my bestie. She opened it and it was friggin MOLDY AND GREEN AND FUZZY AND IT HAD BLACK DOTS LIKE OMFG
Those Pokémon Packs and some of the cards inside are worth a lot of $$$$$ now versus the 1990s!
Kids treat stuffed animals like gods which they are gods
Outhouses 100 years ago 😂 ha, try more like 40-50 years ago! Great video, love it!
Part five was literally my favorite right at the end
The build-a- bear is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE I got one for my gf and just the bear was $50. Like I went broke for a bear
Dude
The first one is so true!
Donuts…
Relatable. We always get a pastre at Walmart and it’s almost always a DONUT! Well now we do since we need a bribe to get me out of bed on a school day haha
“How much space they tooked up” 😄
My mom seeing something 40$: yay!
My mom seeing something 1.99$: *Shocked gasp* so expensive!
"...a TV on your controller..."
That sounds like a Wii U gamepad to me.
Scott: A printer is like $50!
Me: why did my printer cost £159 then, HUH???
OMG THE TEDDYS I CAN RELATE IM STILL LIKE THAT WITH THE TEDDYS
I love how u can hear the echo in his his house lol
You see i never thought any of it was extremely expensive or really cheap only for one reason, my family made sure I knew the value of money and how expensive everything we bought was.
I went to an AMC when I was about 6 or 7 and when we walked in, we saw a build a bear station in the corner and I got a bear to cuddle with during the movie i think it was a rainbow bear
Why would I give up my children like that 😂
Add ice packs to the list! I'm 21 and just realized that the blue solid ones are like $3 for a two pack at Target- I totally thought they would be $20 each!
The electric one is facts when I was 10 I thought my parents were paying $2000 a month for electric 💀
Leaving 3 60W equivalent LED light bulbs on for an entire month straight only costs $3.02
Now, on the other hand, if your house used incandescent light bulbs (the ones where there's a little wire inside the bulb), leaving 3 of thoses bulbs on for a month would cost $18.14
I still don't get why parents act like keeping the light on for 3 minutes is going to drain away their life savings.
I just got apple ads after the stocks video.
Reese’s puffs, Reese’s puffs, eat em up, eat em up, eat em up!!!
1:52 ummm is it weird that we never got new bed frames because we had a triple bunk bed that my grandpas made out of wood and painted pink 😅
For real tho like I tried to buy some stuff animal them as a kid and I never threw them away
My brother found matches in our house in Florida or Georgia and he got me into playing with them and the only reason that I remember is that I was like 3 or 4 and we burnt holes in the screen window
The reason I went to church with my parents as long as I did is because they had free doughnuts there so I’d go have a doughnut and then promptly fall asleep
And now everything is expensive. Start getting hotdogs and potatoes. “What’s for dinner hunny?” “A hodgepodge of bullshit in a pot”
You can easily hear how much quieter he used to be in the earlier episodes
For the hamster one my friend had a hamster enclosure that was 1 by 5 feet which isn’t even the best cage possible hamsters need lots of room and interaction although the hamster itself is pretty cheap..forgot to mention that hamster lived 10 years and died because her little brother fed it to their fat cat 💀
Fun fact in the UK you can buy a toaster (like a really cheap one) at ASDA for £5
Every time I watch these I’m like damn you had a great childhood….what a it like having a parent who cares about ur wellbeing?
TVs actually were way more expensive back when he was a kid than they are now. Like, it used to be a nice TV would be a grand or two, and now you can get a pretty good one for a few hundred. When you take inflation into account, TV prices are like less than a quarter of what they used to be back in the 90s and 2000s.
For the gallon fruit punch, my sister used to call it windex because it was so blue
I remember collecting Match Attax trading cards in 1st grade. Didn't want to stop buying until I get Juventus cards. Good times.
At my towns theatre it’s 12$ for a ticket -that IS EXPENSIVE TO ME
At spare time, claw machines are 5 bucks a play
Bro I remember when my mom would pack me lunchables. I hated them. I wanted to actually cry every time I got them and the kids screaming “luckkkkyyYyYyY” didn’t help-
IKR- some of them tasted horrible. Like that pizza tasted like cardboard and watery ketchup. The cheese sucked too.
@@made.by_rey EXACTLYYY they were probably not meant to be eaten anyways-
Dam, I had to beg for them 😂
@@made.by_rey i found them delicious
@@babyyodaandsharkpuppet2.o550 i liked some of them, but others just didn’t taste very good to me.
when i was young i use to get bullied in kindergarden and i still do so i dont remember how to make freinds but im gonna go to a new school next year and im so scared but my mom said when i was in kindergarden i was so quiet
"Anastasia had one of these and now she's a graphic designer for hot topic. That couldve been me"
No one
My brain "Father when can I leave to be on my owwwwn I got the whole world to see"
“There probably 2 dollars now-“
THOSE FOR A PACK ARE LIKE 1000$ 😭😭😭
I agree with the stuff you said about stuffed animals 🧸
Our movie tickets are like 15 dollars but it’s so worth the extra money A movie snack and recliner chairs for 20
Dollars yes please !
six flags tix, i thought they were 200+ dollars but turns out theyre less than 50 for my state
This guy talks so fast it sounds like an Eminem song with no instrumental
$2.99 for Pokémon cards?!
My local shop sells them for £5.50!
I always thought that the shower heads that you can detach and hold or whatever yeah I thought that those were expensive
“A six pack is about a dollar”
Hold up. HOLD UP.
*the way i’ve never had a lunchable*
What I thought was expensive as a kid but is actually cheap is lottery tickets. I read a book and one person said that the lottery was a way to lose money fast and I always thought that lottery tickets were hundreds or thousands of dollars after that even though they are like ten dollars for one.
Parents always act like everything is super expensive and I have no idea why.
Yah I asked my mom to get me something in crk and it’s 4.99$ and she said “no too expensive”
It’s just 4.99$
@@dedf1shsimp386 bills take up a lot of money, so yeah, don't really blame your mother for that
@@dedf1shsimp386its to save money
it's mostly because a lot of the food items are unhealthy and if you every snack you wanted, it would add up very quickly
Some stuffed animals do cost a lot of money.
The stuffed animals one is me to my children
Ok so when I was a small child everyone thought that I was the rich friend Bc I would always give them my kool- aid bursts at lunch but in reality the kool aid was SO spicy!
I always called Khoolaid Burt’s khoollaid bullets
Ok I feel kinda weird abt the goldfish one lmao I HATED goldfish as a child 😭
Y’all. Olive garden. Those waiters there don’t give an actual sh*t what you order. Get your favorite soup and the unlimited breadsticks and salad. Less than $20 for a meal that could serve two, and as long as you tip them well, the waiters don’t care.
CARDS WORTH SO MUCH LIKE THE First edition Charizard xd
Him: Don’t eat the steak because it tastes like a frisbee. Me: Wait…have you tasted a frisbee? Why? Is it good?
4:14 how do you know what a Frisbee tastes like?
3:24 i agree with the giving breadsticks to midwesterners
Nice smile
Why is he so quiet-
WHERE IS SCOTT FRENZEL AMD WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH HIM
scott frenzel aquarium
cheese-its > goldfish

For real 😭🙏
Kids these days are like oh I see this cool Pokémon pack how much is it wow only 3 bucks.
i swear chicken run scared everyone when they were little
Last month or year now or a few weeks ago I locked myself in the bedroom from my sister and it blew out I was like AAAAAAAA
1:29 try playing Magic The Gathering, now those cards are expensive. One full deck can go for upwards of $200
Before light bulbs rich people had gas lights and candles in silver candelabras. poor people had daylight and pig fat candles.
Uhhh electricity is definitely not cheap in a lot of europe, and the uk ( where I am)
it's like hundreds a month now
pain
I wanna know where this guy shops. A lot of this stuff actually IS way, way, waaaaay more expensive.
We have printer for like 30€ and the ink costs 20€ and that's just black
Here in thailand so expensive-
What I thought was expensive was gum and I was so shocked when it was 1 dollors
in my country one stick of gum is 10 cents
… THAT IS TOO CHEAP FOR THIS WORLD!!!! I’m only 11…
Wait- BUILD-A-BEAR IS ONLY 10 DOLARS THIS WHOLE TIME! I thought these were like $100.
1:58 i actually hate the taste of the wax on these bottles they ruin the entire thing
I can feel the energy change from the video, like part one is dull and not energetic, and the you get to part 6 and its more energy
Dude. The toaster works by heating the iron that does the cooking. How do you not know that?
When my brother was 8, he wanted to trade his Nintendo DS (I think that’s what it was) for Pokémon trading cards. The vice principal and my mom found out abt it 😭
Imagine caparison was actually 250 for a pack of 10 hot 2.50 lol
isnt it like $10? thats what my grocery store charges
@@sourfar maybe inflation? idk
Printers are cheap because in the long run they made money now if it didn’t need to be refilled it would be 400$ or more so it’s a sales tactic to trick you in to thinking you got a good deal like buy a a 400$ printer or fifty bucks and spend more on ink
I don’t know why but those are better than the koolaid juice packs
