- Hi, I'm Scott Frenzel and let me take you through the trenches of my childhood. From spending hours at Chuck E. Cheese to win enough tickets for a ball that I could've bought at the dollar store, to being a little too curious about that mysterious liquid in glowsticks, here are 30 things I thought were expensive as a kid and was shocked to find out, they're pretty cheap.

Glasses ain't cheap. They go for like 200-1450 bucks in my country. So as a person who desperately needs glasses I'd understand why her father would be mad. And also with the years 2021-2023 came along the "i n f l a t i o n s" update which really messed up those prices ;-;

7:35 glasses can cost 50 dollars but good pair with a proper prescription usually costs from 100 to 200 dollars
My school did a movie night and I was with a group of friends that all had twizlers and the huggs barrel juice and skittles and stuff and we called it the gay meals and I learned that if you take a sip of barrel juice and a bite of twizlers and mix it with a sip of coke and then throw in a skittle not only is it pure sugar but it also tastes like alcohol which is pretty cool as a high school movie as a freshman that never breaks rules.
i discovered at the age of 5 that beer tastes like alcohol 💅
I lost my glasses a while ago and I get the little girl lol, the struggle of having to squint to see anything at all is real.

In 5th grade I once brought a whole pack of Ice Pops / Freezies for my whole class and we sat outside and ate them. I was so respected after that
there is glass in between two chemicals in the glow stick, they mix when you crack the glow stick because you break the glass inside, the chemicals mix and start to glow cuz of the chemical reaction they have
1:54 DVD players used to be 300 or more dollars but after they’ve been added in so many gaming systems. Dedicated DVD players price dropped by more than 90 percent
If you have chickens you get eggs for free!!! Besides the weekly $50 bag of chicken food

One thing that I found shockingly cheap was stickers. Like the ones that can go on your phone case. I looked on Amazon, It was £2.99 for fifty stickers.
prescription glasses aren’t cheap. some can RARELY start at the price being 15 - 500$ . As someone with glasses, mine were $350. It really depends on the frames and prescription you get.
