The handyman literally elevates crap to a whole new level, with his videos.. this one specifically
Before placing a toilet, one must confirm its location with a squat test lol
It's science.
L
Where’s part 2?
You show where hard-work can take you. Thanks for your video’s. Love the fact you work for yourself by yourself. Could really help the younger generation if they listen and watch.
Bro I desperately need a part 2 to this lol
Thanks for the tips. I’m looking to install a bathroom in a basement with septic. Ejector pump is probably my best option. Minus the skid marks
Being the maintenance man for the company I work for in the UK I wanted to say that I find your videos super useful and refer to your Chanel often when I’m presented with a task that I might not have done before or done much of. Your content is always honest and informative and it’s really helpful and has definitely helped me out of a few pinches in the past so thanks again.
Keep em coming!

OMG!! Thank you! I am working on remodeling my bathroom and have a few issues to work around. This is perfect for eliminating everything I am dealing with. I haven't found your pt 2 video but am looking forward to seeing it.
Great content. Great video editing. Great entertainment. Great lessons and info that everyone can use in life. Thanks!
I love the idea of raising the floor and using a standard toilet. I have the rough in plumbing done in my basement to install a Saniflo.
Great work and thanks for sharing this with us take care
Thank you for the normal speed sound on the ram set. Satisfying AF.
Glad you enjoy it!
@@TheHandyman1 i was going to ask about that tool. Thank you. *googling Ram Set'*
I appreciate your dedication and focus on the work. You can clearly hear the Gran Prix outside like we can, yet you stayed at it, building instead of going outside to watch the Formula1 races in the street.
I'm doing this project right now. thank you for the guidance. DIY gang 💪🏾
I've been looking forward to this one!
Liked the "squatting dog" to make sure closet flange was in right location.
Quality control built into the process, I expected nothing less from the best. The number one home improvement guy in the whole universe...making a number two.
@@jdshear01 Like he's done it his whole life!
This is something I will be needing in my basement. Thanks for sharing!
Handyman living in fast forward while we sit and try and keep up. Love the videos as usual
this is a blast of a video .... great content and having done that too you made it look easy well done
You literally murder every other handy man channel on RUclips. It's not even close
Loved it
I have one of those toilets, you are right about the skid marks! Make sure you tell them not to use that bathroom if the power goes out! Great video!
I got the screwdriver.. awesome lil focker, Keep the videos coming
Trying to locate part 2 that you mentioned towards the end of the video??? Also? If I were doing this on top of current working plumbing in basement basically for relocating drains in remodel, I can assume I wouldn't need the pooppump (lol) but since I'm using the existing drains could I get by using 2x4 rather than 2x6 or 2x8? The new drains wouldn't be far from originals, it's mainly for a little reconfiguration, likely only a couple feet or so from the original, the raised floor would then be even with the rest of the raised floor in the basement yet still allow access to the plumbing should it ever be necessary?
Thank You Mr. (I love your) Beard.
Can’t wait till the next video just curious to know the operation of that new toilet 🚽😆🔨👍
enjoy your videos and presentation style. A+
Just another "Handyman" Magic Marvel!
adhesive on the 2x6 crowns, nice job. Great videos.
You have great skills 😀😀😀😀💯💯💯💯💯
Awesome vid!
I need more on this video lol I'm about to do this to my basement and need part 2... 9r a better instruction/tutorial on how this works.
I just saw your Instagram post. I came as quick as I could. I hope I’m not too late lol
Glad to see that Im not the only GC that wears shorts to work…LOL
But I dont wear black socks 😂😂😂
Handyman is styling and profiling, dressed like a million bikes (I think that's how Rick Flair always said it at least).
Put your logo on a hat and I'll buy one. The one with the saw blade on it
Love the 'test squat' LOL
You are awesome as usual but I miss the whistling. Haha ... look forward to the next one.
You do fine work my friend! Sure wish I could work as fast as in your videos, wouldn’t that be grand! 😁
Curious as to if you designed the bathroom or going off someone else’s? Either way great job. Really enjoy the videos!
I can't find part two - I'm invested !!!!!
Would it be possible to do an elevated restroom like this and just attach it directly to sewage line?
Great job! how high is your ceiling? Im working on a similar project. The issue I'm having is that I have 85 inches from the concrete floor to top of joist. My question is do i have enough room for a shower.
Digging the 80's cut-off jean shorts bro...
only thing missing was some tube socks with high top sneakers...lol...
Have family in Indiana Handy, those "jorts" you sported in the post game report would make you an instant star out yonder.......
LOL love it!
The sigh at 9:13 was so relatable 🤣😂🤣😂
I just started watching now. Are those 9x9 Asbestos floor tiles?
Sanigrind, so this is really just a Vitamix for the lavatory deposits is what you're telling me :D
You got talent bro
I have two anywhere toilets on my property, they are fantastic. 10' of head at around 200' in a 1" line. In some cases, a miracle.
saniflow?looking to put 1 in a detached garage that will be slightly below
main house sewage line about 90'away.any twist and turns on yours?
@@jfromtn7410 Yes, twist and turns acceptable.
Handyman definitely took a shower for that outro. It grooms. Dramatic stuff
Hey Handyman where's part to of this video. I like the idea of being able to use a regular toilet with the Saniflo pump
#91!!!! September 15 is first day of Bow in NH
Bow season in Bow NH 😄
Where does the poop pump go? How do you connect to the main stack?
Good job
Thanks

This was great, and thanks. But where's the Part Two you mentioned?
Awesome
must be the kid in me, but that 1st minute had me cracking up
Interesting. Never knew there was such a thing.
I didn't either. I only knew about the old way to do it with a big pit in the ground then grinder pump out to the main line.
Was that home a pool hall at one time? The tile reminds me of a bar/pool hall in Wayne, WI that was called Barney Strobel's Bar on County Hwy W.
No
Would I still need the pump to and raised floor plumbing in the garage?
great work handyman, its coming together like clock work. Keep up the good job.
Would you still need a p-trap if you were connecting to a washing machine drain?
9:09 I hate when I run out of bullets.. always happens when I only need a few more.
What's the dimension of the 2×6 build up for the shower and toilet? Trying to get an idea how big the whole thing is? Love your videos, thank you.
2x6 then 3/4 subfloor then tile membrane then tile. I'm using a schluter pre sloped pan for the tile floor in the shower.
The one time he wears a respirator? When there might be asbestos in the floor tiles. 😂
Asbestos fibers can remain airborne for several days.
Mustard turns the fibers in to Meat protein
@@TheHandyman1 Little known fact!!! 🤣

That tool you hit with a hammer that drove a nail in the concrete flooring , can i have a name or link please,
60 inch shower pan next to toilet? Looks like wet vent lav but not sure with saniflow stuff
What type of tools you used
Do you need the pumpernator because the sewer is too high to get proper pitch?? If so why did they build it so high??
I’ve been to your website, but I’m having trouble finding part 2 of this video. What is its name? Or do you have the link? Thanks!!
I've been looking for it as well.
Good call on the skid marks. That'd be nasty to deal with.
did you connect all of your plumbing before you fastened the floor to your joists?
Yes
where can i find part two of this video?
What about the pit?? We gotta know!!! Hahahah
What is the pumping system your using is that a saniflo
I'll let you know when I get it done
Where did you get the toilet flange and the 90? I can't find anything to fit in the space of 2x6 joists on a slab
It came with the pump kit.
Still looking for an excuse to buy a Ramset... one of these days!
Did you ever do part two?
Can you please tell me the result. I am doubting since I couldn’t find the next part. Does it work?
Honest question. What about a vent for the drainage or does that poo machine handle that as well?
The pump is vented through the roof. If the shower run was longer it would be vented too.
I’m about to dook the same sort of floor but for avoiding cutting through the foundation wall and footer to run and connect subterranean poo pipe… watch your step we are making pitch.
This was very dramatic, and waaay confusing! 😳🤯
Apparently the 'plan" for this BR was stored in your head! Is that capability the developed via many years in the business as a HM?
Thanks for your videos. How do I add a bathtub to a basement restroom without breaking up the ground?
Its not easy to do without breaking cutting the slab and routing the drain lines. Its not as complicated as it sounds and can be done in a few hours.
I have one toilet flange in the basement. Can i tie in a shower and toilet into without breaking the concrete floor?
Did you perhaps use pressure treated wood?
what is that orange spike you hammer the wood into the floor called? some kind of explosive floor anchor?
It's a Ramset, uses .22 cal ammunition to drive a nail into concrete. credit to BenJohnsonDotNet
.22 Blanks bought from your local box store. Please dont put live rounds in it.
Damn nailguns, always empty! Great job!
Was there a part 2 video
Imagine if you could work at that speed!
Looks like less demolition than just hammering out a hole but lots more work and I'm way too lazy for that.
I put in a similar pump about 25 years ago when I decided I wanted to finish my basement. It was a different design but it's worked well all these years. I decided I didn't want to have to step up on to a platform so I jack hammered a hole in the concrete floor and put the tank below grade. My only regret is, and your client is about to make the same mistake, was not putting in a shower. I had room to frame the bathroom anyway I wanted but made it into a half bath. Wish I had included a small stand up shower when I did it.
The job includes putting in a shower.
@@MarkH10 Guess your client had more foresight than I did
@@MarkH10 have you installed other saniflow toilets?looking for a system in a new detatched garge about 90 feet away
@@jfromtn7410 No toilets. I suggest strict attention to the slope over that 90 feet. The steeper the drop the smoother the flow.
hi wheres the second video? To show the rest of the project?
where is part 2 of this video? nice work
Just curious why nail the sub floor down? Shouldn’t it be glued and screwed so deflection doesn’t eventually cause the floor to start squeaking?
Subfloors are never screwed down. Only nailed. It is glued as well.
@@TheHandyman1 thanks Handyman!
I’m replacing some 55 yer old awfully squeaky sub floors in my home and noticed they were just fastened with nails back then, figured I would glue and screw the new floor down but maybe I’ll go with a good ring shank nail, would be a lot quicker that’s for sure.
@@joemully6666 Glue and modern ring shank nails are for new construction and remodels. Maybe they didn't use glue on your house or they didn't have the right nails. My house squeaks like crazy it has wood planks for subfloor and everything was hand nailed back then.
What was that chisel? And what were you loading into it?
It's a Ramset, uses .22 cal ammunition to drive a nail into concrete.
What Ben said.
Since it’s a water area, shouldn’t it be all pressure treated lumber??? I’m curious
Pressure treated wood is only used when it is in contact with concrete. You will not find it anywhere in a house outside of that.
Love your channel! I am a Ace of all trades myself and a GC working mostly by myself or with a couple helpers. I could definitely see you are a problem solver. I would bet your local building codes would still have you use pressure-treated lumber. I would assume those would count as base plates on slab. Just because your floor is covered with tile would not change that in my municipality. I would always overbuild if in doubt. That being said I'm sure it will be fine.
Where is the second or follow up video?
Poop pumps and skid marks and streaks .. sure glad this ain't smellavision 😕
