mercy chelangat broke the facility record but then katelyn broke it 15 minutes later 😅
+ this race was more than just about katelyn, she also paced her teammates to a national ticket, katelyn knew their heat had to be a faster one so that her other teammates can get the small q incase they wont get to the top 5, katelyn paced the race perfectly against the times of heat 1, you could see her always checking the board, she did so well and pulled her teammates to pbs and sb, the race wasnt insanely fast nor slow, it was just right, it gradually became faster and she did not just left everyone, she paced it until the last 2 laps or 1.5 laps to be exact
hannah cried, marlee cried, savannah PRd, sam was able to redeem herself after a bad 1500m race, katelyn won the race and got the facility record, so much was able to achieved in one race, they all hugged at the finish line~ such an amazing team and great teamwork shown! can't wait to see the FIVE of them race in oregon on june 11!

Katelyn is finally learning to run her own races instead trying to play mind games with more experienced runners. Make them follow you and try to get around you. Make them run honest instead of leaving them too much in the tank. Never let them get in front if you have the inside in the lead and let them break themselves trying to do so and trust your body to fall into the pace you e set for the race. She's finding that even if she sets a fast pace she still has a kick at 1000m. 2 kicks even. He'll she looked like she still had a another if someone tried to come along side at 400m.

When Katelyn dropped the hammer with two laps to go and the rest of the Wolf pack was with her , Ahhh man , what a aight to see , fist pump in the air , startled the dogs , broke my chair and ended on the floor when Katelyn broke the FR. The commentator needed backup. Not enough information was coming across the airwaves. I believe that there was at least four NC State runners in the front group of eight. I think Katelyn quietly meditates upon her up coming races. She looked so relaxed as she began to stride at around six hundred meters from the finish line. Figure the amount of additional energy a runner has put out just running in the second lane, move over and run the inner lane. Multiply the distance running the second lane and the runner runs a considerable distance more. One reason Tuohy runs a shorter distance(?) compared to the second lane runner. Less the distance of the straightaways.

After such a great effort Katelyn Tuohy needs to cool her heals in water 💦 about 55 degrees. If you’re not injured, you don’t need ice water. The feet need the relief. The younger you are the easier it is to overlook the need to bring relief to the subtle ache the feet experience. But when you get older, much older and you don’t want to walk around like an old man or woman, you can feel young again by cooling your heals in cold water.

Nice run! The announcer had a hard gig, speaking solo, and in complete silence. Sounded odd.

What kind of reputable track video doesn’t put the timer up and doesn’t tell us what the final time of the race is…? Appreciate the video but what the heck?
