Paint thickness matters specially when people keep buffing the hell out of cars. With todays detailing capabilities, it's becoming harder and harder to know if the car is real or just shined up to sell. With this car, It would be devastating to buy a $20k car and find out that it needs another 15k of maintenance.

No, 3.5mm isn't even half of 1cm (which is 1\16th of 1 inch). 1mm = 0.1cm.
