Too much rubato. This should be played for dancing with much less (or no) change of tempo. She should practice with a metronome, and in performance only alter tempo ever so slightly.
Oh man, Oh man! Without any Dynamics and joy. Liszt needs to be played playful, like a gnome jumping around the piano. She is just way too focused, that she‘s play the right notes. I remember when I played this 3 years ago, with the age of 12, it was a little above my skill level, so i had some mistakes, but i had fun and that is something you can hear, the joy and playfulness in the music. Nevertheless an OK performance.
Don’t think your the boss because playing this at 12 because I played it at age 9😎people who don’t believe me make me feel even better because it’s so awesome the age I play this at and it’s so awesome it’s unbelievable! Yes the entire piece not only the friska
Without any dynamics? Her dynamics are very mature and, personally, beautiful and right. Of course you can argue about this, but what you can't say is that they aren't there (??): these are wide and clear dynamics. Idk what you're hearing.
Would you be so kind as to post yourself playing it the right way so that we all, Including the soloist in question can be enlighten in how it must be played. Because I’m well pleased with what is coming out of her heart, mind and soul. This is not easy playing, takes a lot of sacrifice to get to this level
@@ologistyurny3752 you should go for logic lessons. I don't need to play it to compare her to other far superior pianists. There are innumerable examples of people playing this piece with far more character and soul. You must be new
I am on Olo's side. Personally, I find the interpretation of the piece better than many other interpretations I have heard. If you care about logic, then we are two people who do not share your view. The logical conclusion would therefore be that you at least label your opinion as an opinion and not state it as a universal truth. Also, out of respect for the pianist.
@@Lostbananaonpiano LOL. All comments here are opinions. What in the world are you inhaling? And it's not a democracy of 2 versus 1. Maybe if some professional critics were to chime in, yes.
I criticized your wording and the associated argumentation. You argued that your point of view is the only logical one, and I wanted to show you with the example that at least two people see it differently, that other views are absolutely permissible.
Jeneba seems to give us unusual and very fine articulation. There is air between the notes...even on fast passages.
Very, very beautiful!!!
Was listening to this while gardening, and I started crying… guess the roots of this song really got to me.
Stunning technicality & musicality from someone so young!
l love your interpretation very very much. I believe Liszt himself would love it too how you play it. Greetings from Germany.
I've heard many pianists play this piece, but I've never heard it played that well. Stunning!
superb use of dynamics
I will see her in Calgary! Bought tickets already! I'm excited
Stunning performance 🎉🎉🎉
There were moments in that performance where the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. A phenomenal talent with much more to come.
Amazing pianist with an amazing musical memory. Beautiful.
She can’t be bothered by mundane effort it’s easy for her majesty. Bravo

Pure enjoyment ❤
So lovely, so emotional, and technically perfect. I'll be watching for her.
A stunning performance thanks❤❤ to
I am hungarian and missing the classical hungarian rhytm from it. I played Liszt in the past, extremely challenging.
Yes, indeed. She gives us a heavily romantic interpretation with so much rubato that the rhythm is lost.
Very talented. Thank you! ❤️🇬🇧👍🙂🇺🇸
She is amazing!!
Like a “Boss” the can’t be bothered she delivers excellent beauty
Well go head on THEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Exquisitely Performed!!!!!!!! Thank you for sharing your passion with the world MS. Jeneba!!!!!!!!!!

Can't wait to hear her play Hamelin's cadenza.... pfft!!!
They started clapping before Friska enters 😂😂
NICeeeeeeeeeee
Why did they cut off the intro :(
On Facebook, I was promised the complete piece.
Amazing Janeba!
(Classic FM: what happened to the beginning of the piece?)
im happy i learnt more skills than piano (gaming, percussion...) >:D
😇🫠🤍
Sista Rousseau? 😮
It's said that Liszt grew to hate this piece.

Post your version. Otherwise, silence from the peanut gallery 🥲
I can't with these troll comments in every classical music video picking on the "mistakes". You sound ridiculous, just stop.😂
Please do share your ‘playful’ version! BTW: you look A LOT older than 15 years…hmmm

The first half was played without any inflection and zero gypsy feel. The second part was ok, although still flat. And so dry.
