Hey Josh, thanks for the thorough reviews. One thing I always prioritize with a hunting bow is the ability to let down smoothly without making noise or jerky movements likely to spook an animal. Usually an aggressive draw curve means it'll be hard to let down smoothly. I'd be curious to hear your take not just on how the bows draw, but how they let down.
Good video! One thing I caught as you were going through there… You should take the tag off the bow when you shoot it for decibels because that totally adds to the sound. For all the companies obviously just so we get accurate readings. Keep up the good work!
love your reviews!!!!!!!!!! thank you for putting yourself out there to make the sport fun and educational. i live in la grande cant wait to visit your store!!!!!!!!
When you do the mass sound test for every bow, maybe use a super common arrow weight. Like 430-450gn. Hunters are the only ones that care about Db, so that weight might be the most useful data? Thank you for being the people’s champ!
One thing I would do before checking the sound is make sure the tags are tuck in the riser cause i bet some bows that tag bouncing is louder than the bow
I was looking at the 34SS and was waiting to see what Bowtech was dropping for '25. Other than the lack of front sight integration this is definitely going to be one of my top picks for next year.
Split yokes don't change or fix bad limbs. One thing that can be checked is if the axle is still centered between the limbs. If they are used bows, users and techs can over-adjust the Deadlock system, which will shift the actual axle position in the limbs and cause tuning issues. Done it myself and seen where techs have done it as well. With the SR350's, I would also try upping the spine on the arrows and see if that helps the cam lean. I didn't have any issues with my SR350, but I do know mine preferred stiffer spines in tuning and grouping.
I've had my SX80 for about a year and a half now and was super excited about this year... only to find out it was pretty much the same bow I've been shooting.... and no limb legs still 😢

I use the Pine Ridge Kwik stands, some felt on the clamps, and tighten them down to leave on all the time. Hunted multiple seasons with them on and had zero issues. They are affordable and I believe as light or lighter than any limb leg options out there.
@sheyanderson4371 i have the truglo bow stand for mine, the only reason my cam doesn't touch the ground is because i have a 15" front bar, that being said....I still want limb legs that are actually made for the bow if that makes sense

Pretty disappointed in Bowtech this year. Was hopeful for a lower stabilizer mount and a magnesium alloy riser this year, and that sight mount is hot garbage.
@therman6813 That's groundbreaking technology for sure lol It's hilarious nobody outside their umbrella as a company even made a sight to fit their core mount sight. Basically you used their sight or their core technology was useless.
It’s a way for quiver clearance and they don’t have to license a pic mount. I would argue it’s more versatile than pic mount because you can still adjust sight distance.
Reinventing the wheel must be hard😢. How hard is it to make a perfect shooting bow? Obviously hard. These Companies are trying to innovate instead of giving us perfect shooting bows. I find it embarrassing. I hate how a Mathews bow feels to shoot. I find it embarrassing that the SS34 had polymer limb pockets. This bow probably has polymer limb pockets also.
Engineering is pretty well maxed out in terms of performance, it’s always going to be a give and take, that’s why new bows are in between 330-340fps. That’s the sweet spot for speed, feel, sound, and efficiency. Features and weight are about the last things they can improve upon. Also, Bowtech has used polymer limb pockets for years and had little to no durability issues. I have had 3, including two of their faster platforms and had no issues and don’t know of any other shooter around me that has had any limb pocket issues.
Hugely disappointed in Bowtech so far this year. Their website is even down today! Where’s an affordable, magnesium riser in 32/33” under 4.0lbs…w/o all the “Honor” accessorization?
@silentassassin1108 how much more though could you expect out of a long axle fairly big bh bow? I get what your saying but it's somewhat unfair to the bigger more forgiving bows

The half ass sight mount, is because they copied Mathews, after putting Athens out of business for copying there tuning system. I hope Mathews sued the shit out of them. So 7 years of no real improvement. I don't really care if I have to twist a yoke they all tune pretty easy. All the new bows are slower and heavier than the realm series. Blah!

Ooo ye
I have heard that exact thing will be at ata this year as their big hype piece. Source, I work at a large bow tech dealer.
3 ft off your ibo gets you an 11 out of 15. Ive defended you mfjj but got damn
Yeah that should have been 14
That’s not what the score is based on, how close it is to advertised is scored under honesty. The speed it’s self is based on a scale system
@silentassassin1108 how much more though could you expect out of a long axle fairly big bh bow? I get what your saying but it's somewhat unfair to the bigger more forgiving bows
@@jordanpowell228 I agree, he needs to seperatate the bows into different ATA groups. Like 33-35 ATA and everything under 33 ATA in a different group. Besides the fact that he's bias towards certain brands. The score thing is pretty silly and irrelevant imo.
For the sound test the tags have to go. No way thats accurate with the tags slapping the riser.
(not gay) but, mfjj will you marry me? I have hunting land in Wi.....Honesty in a review, that's why I buy from Podium. These reviews is why I follow boss. Nice work, refuse to follow.
Patents will kill this industry.
Without patents there will be very little incentive to innovate. These companies can’t invest millions in R&D, just to have 1-2 years of sales advantage
How
He must shoot a hoyt lol
MFJJ what about their target line??? Still gen2 after 3 years?? 🤢
I love bowtech but this is the ugliest bowtech bow so far...
The half ass sight mount, is because they copied Mathews, after putting Athens out of business for copying there tuning system. I hope Mathews sued the shit out of them. In my opinion all these new bows are to complicated with to many unnecessary moving parts. I am not interested in any of them. I killed my buck this year with a bear silver tip made in 1995. I had more fun going backwards than shooting my modern bows.
So 7 years of no real improvement.
I don't really care if I have to twist a yoke they all tune pretty easy.
All the new bows are slower and heavier than the realm series.
Blah!
And the ugliest bow of the year goes to ^
New bow by Notech. Be a leader in something. back in the day they were pushing speed then tune ability and now it’s 🥱🥱😴
Can someone explain to me how the brand new Prime bow has so many reviews, ads, endorsements on RUclips already? Mathews. Hoyt and Prime has everyone talking about them but Bowtech is irrelevant. Bowtechs marketing guys need to step there game up.
