The comparative analysis was great. I really appreciate the content you put out and I respect your honest opinion. I own a pair of Junkart boots and I really have taken a shine to Indonesian boots ,thanks to you. The boots have been part of my rotation with Redwing boots and Nick's boots. I have to admit that I think the Junkart boots are an excellent value proposition ,just like Nick's boots are at that price range. Thank you again for introducing me to Indonesian boots and to Junkart in particular.
How do the Indonesian boots feel compared to the Nick's? I have been considering buying a new pair of boots and have been going back and forth between Nick's and a few Indonesian brands.
The major selling point for me on the Nick's is the massive amount of oak tanned leather in the midsole. Whereas the big selling point for me on the Indonesian brands is the massive amount of customization they offer.
menurut gua emg viberg siluetnya service bootsnya salah satu yg terbaik (di dunia malah) si. proporsinya semua nya pas aja. terutama last nya sih. tinggi heel nya, tinggi shaftnya, jahitannya dll 👌👌
Dari pengalaman pribadi sih, Santalum imo lebih mirip lastnya dengan Viberg. Apalagi kalo sama-sama unstructured. Profilenya dari samping mirip banget. Itu alasannya gue MTO di Santalum, Junkard last SC masih agak bulky sih meskipun sama-sama unstructured.

How does the thickness of the leather compare between the two?
I am exactly at the point where I have to decide between these - it would be awesome to have subtitles!
How is the sizing? I am a UK 7 in Trickers and 41 in most leather shoes, but 42-42,5 in some sneakers. Which size would you recommend for Junkard?
Hey man! Im currently working on the subs, hope i can provide it in the near future, speaking of sizing, I never worn trickers before, but im 42 on both redwing and alden, and 43 in converse
These junkard boots in 42 (down 1 size from my sneakers size) fit me pretty well, this might happen since the waxed flesh leather used in these boots isnt stiff and relatively flexible. I suggest you if youre planning to get the thicker leather option for the upper (maybe some shells), you might wanna get true size of your foot. But if youre planning to get roughout, i think downsizing like i do will work well on you
Oh btw im 42,5 on these viberg and i think, the cxl leather used in the most of viberg boots is relatively thicker than any other cxl used by other brands
