My wife and I have been using the Pixel 7 pro since it's release, and we honestly love the device. We highly recommend it to anyone thinking about getting one.
Doesnt get warm? Battery lasts good?
My wife and I have just got P7P's ourselves. Excellent phones, came from 1+ 7T and feels like a nice upgrade. Call quality is night and day. Very slick to use too.
Just ran across your channel. A+. Your content, narration, and visuals are so refreshing. Def excelling past Marques, and some of the other heavy hitters out there. Keep it up.
I've had P7pro for about a month now and it's been great. I took a break from Android and had an iPhone for last five years and it's been so refreshing being back and this device has a perfect welcome back to Android for me. I was a nexus user and owned every one of those that came out. The pixel was definitely going to be my phone coming back to Android.
Same here. Getting mine today.
Glad to hear it. When I hear people talk about overheating and it not running smooth it really surprises me. I went with the a series this time to save money. I was blown away with how good the 6a is for the price. It doesn't feel like a cheap phone at all.
hello... what about 5G bands??? In India, I dont get 5G network on my pixel 7 Pro. I get 5G to work perfectly with the same sim on Oneplus phones.
Amazing video bro. I absolutely love your style of content. So chill in your delivery, funny as hell and giving these phones an earnest review when others would not. You’re great at what you do. Also, I need to know what’s that wallpaper app you’re using? It looks dope!
My family bought me a Pixel 7 Pro to replace my easy to use small Flip Phone that had nothing wrong with it. It took me 2 months to figure out how to make a telephone call. Apparently there is no place around me that offers lessons in Smartphones (I am 85) but it sure would be nice because I will never figure out all of this stuff.
Search and you will find: How to use a Pixel 7 Pro. Here on youtube;)
Yeh Buddha mere beech mei bohot bolta hai
Are u 85?😮
U doings OK typing comments on RUclips 😅..so you'll figure out yourself
God bless
Nice review, subscribed! I'm loving my 7 pro so far, coming from a 2xl, which made me one of the first to use a pixel phone here in Italy. Cheers!
I like the curved display, personally. It looks nice and feels even better. But I understand why others might not like it.
Same, i prefer flat on smaller phones though. Curve is a must for anything large tbh.
I love curved displays, they look sleek.
same here, they make my S21 Ultra look much more premium.
Others don't like it cuz MKBHD doesn't like curved displays..
@@bhagum9906 nah I have a OnePlus 7 Pro and I don't like the curved screen. Looks good but in practice it gives me a lot of issues using my phone in landscape lol
Glad you are back. Upload more on your channel rather than howtomen and android police 😅
I absolutely love your videos. There are only a few tech channels which I love to look upto for daily tech updates and you are one of them. Would love to see more videos from you.
That’s very much appreciated! Thank you!
Great review! Been looking at getting the P7P.
Your reviews are excellent as usual. I really enjoy them. Keep up the great work my brother.
Love this guy videos. Keep em coming
Love your vids man, keep it up. Just hoping u upload more often
I just got the pixel 7a I always wanted a pixel because of how easy it is to get a good photo every time you take a photo, and I watched a few blind camera tests and to me photos consistently looked better on the 7a, the finger print scanner has been fine for me I haven't noticed a problem yet
Performance is great. I ocassionly would lose signal but eventually it got fixed with updates just like how you mentioned. My son is into his games on his pixel 7 regular phone and he loves it. From what he tells me it runs smooth and battery runs pretty long. I only once experience my phone overheating but it needed an update and it got fixed at the end of the day. I'm definitely will stay with the upcoming Pixel models .
I appreciate that your videos are unique when compared to other phone reviews. Great job
Thank you!
Been using the 7 Pro since December. I love it, just my biggest gripe is that I wish the software was more customizable. Sure we have launchers for that, but still.
@@Worthless. I get where you're coming from. I've should've been more specific. I wish there was more native customization, you feel me? Like let me get rid of the At a Glance widget and the search bar for example.
It's wild to me because the wired charging is just over 20 watts but it seems to get so warm when charging rapidly. I also feel like it's weird that the adaptive charging overnight will fast charge up to 80% and then just keep it there all night as opposed to charging at slower or regular speeds over a couple hours. Even when I have an alarm set it still fast charges every time when plugged in over night.
The charging on the Pixel line is a joke and is only at ultra budget level on Android in 2023. I just paid £99 for an OPPO to be have a mess with and that charges at 33 watts
Really appreciate your .. reviews I'm still enjoying my pixel 6 pro seems like it's getting better for me... But I'll be waiting for the pixel 8 pro...
Early on in the video you shown the viewfinder on the camera with the blinds. is what you seen in the viewfinder accurate to when you get once the picture has been taken thanks
i got the pixel 7 pro at the original price, but i preordered it. so i... got the watch for free. I think that's still one of the best deals even after half of year since launch. i kinda love this phone and didn't stumble over a lot of the issues people are complaining about. i hope it just gets improved and better with time especially in the camera department. Yes pro mode would definitely be nice, and definitely portrait video needs a good amount of retouch. Also from what i noticed the most battery drain is in the camera department so i'd love to see less battery drain in the camera app (obviously with no camera performance shortcuts). I am not that upset with the pro camera missing (even though for me that would be the most significant and desirable feature) because RAW file format for capturing photos is there as a compromise for the missing pro mode and in fact you can get some awesome and amazingly fine shots in post.
I've had a Nexus 5 a Pixel 3 and I'm currently using a Pixel 7 Pro. I've been very happy with all my phones and I really can't see switching to anything else. It's not so much the hardware or the cameras that I like but the software. I like the idea of pure unadulterated android with no skins or embellishments. Each phone that I bought I've purchased directly from Google. Nothing makes me grind my teeth more than the idea of verizon or ATT putting their apps on my phone then not letting me remove them. That's one of the things that annoys the hell out of me about my Tab 7a I think it is. There are samsung programs on there that I don't use and I will never use but I can't delete them. If I could I'd wipe the memory and put a risc version of linux on the tablet or a plain vanilla version of android, but I digress. For me the biggest selling point of the Pixel phones is the software and no extra crap from phone companies.
Im one of the few people who love curved displays, i use edge functionality on my phones pretty much for every interaction with my phone.
The video of the game really surprised me! Especially when you showed up how far back you were!
Yeah I was really impressed!
I prefer the curved screen, they make the gesture navigation feel so much better in my opinion. Not to mention they just feel more premium to hold. I don't like the idea of Google getting potential praise for going back to utilizing a cheaper display. Think about it, sure if you drop your phone a lot they cost us more to repair...but that means it's a more expensive component. You already know Google aren't going to pass the savings of a flat display onto the consumer either
I feel exactly like you
3xl slaps, the notch was a non-issue and having the wide angle for selfies made it genuinely useful in lots of situations. Textured glass back was luxurious and the 1440p OLEF was great for content. Still mad about the bad rap it got from techtubers.
My pixel 7 pro battery life in terms of SOT for QHD+ is around 5hrs(on average) and sometimes even 4. Changing it to 1080p helped me a lot. I get high 6hrs of SOT but it's still far from your experience. I've been using the phone for more than 1 month now. Something I've noticed is either some users get really good battery life or meh, quite interesting.
Yeah not everyone's usage is the same and on top of that, not every unit (phone/battery) is the same either. So it all depends. I average 7hrs comfortably, but like I said, it's more like 5.5-6.5 with heavy use.
I get mostly 5-7 hours with smooth display turned on. I get 7-9 hours with smooth display turned off. Both setups are always on QHD+.
I average 8 hrs with QHD+ on, with 120hz enabled. I turned off the Adaptive Battery in the settings and it doubled my battery life
@@meechieflow_ wtf how
I mean I'm a power user, I drained the batteries on even my Samsung S20 Ultra back in the day. I've just learned that I will need to charge in my vehicle, at the office, and bring a charger or power brick if I'm going to be away from home for a day or more. While the Pixels do not last quite as long, I will say the adaptive charging is really nice to have and lengthens the lifespan of the battery. My S20s battery was amazing when I first got it but over time the battery degraded and saw results similar to what my pixel gets anyways. At least the pixel has been consistent and I don't feel the need to replace the battery.
I have the P7P, only because I got a great trade-in on my P6P. I'm all in on these phones. I know they are not benchmark killers or the fastest chargers, but they are almost always super smooth and mine works well for what I need. If the trade-in offers are strong for the P8P, I may give it a shot.
May I ask how good the trade in deal on your phone was? All of the "trade in deal estimates" online I look at have terrible results for phones that just released (~30-40% value back) and I am wondering if it changes once you actually send your phone in.
I think this is the phone I'm gonna get later this summer. I haven't been on stock Android since I used to flash custom roms when I used to root my phone. I have been with Samsung since the Galaxy S3.
I've had the P7P for about three weeks now, first time user of a Google phone. Pretty smooth, feels premium but there are some things I'm not a fan of. Speakers aren't loud, wish I didn't have to use Nova launcher for better customization. Battery charges slow as well. Still a good phone. Currently, still use my iPhone 14 Pro and S23U more at the moment. Nice review, new sub!
It seems you like smartphones a lot 😅 you own the 3 best ones out there
@@alfemile lol… just a little bit huh?
watching the video from my pixel 7 pro 😍😍 I really recommend it.
I have the pixel 7 pro and my girl has the regular pixel 7 and she actually is jealous of the curve on the display. She says the curve makes it feel like it's thinner.
Where can i get that wallpaper 2:26? Great video btw🎉
I'd love to see a smaller Pixel Pro, or essentially a Non-Pro with added zoom lens and maybe adaptive up to 120Hz display. Currently, I have the 6 Pro, and I don't want to miss the zoom camera. But it's just too large for my pocket and difficult to use one-handed. Thank god it has the camera bar, this not only improves stability on the table, but also acts as a nice finger support for one-handed operation.
I really want one of those TMNT skins! 😂 Also we haven't had the camera glass issue yet *knock on wood*. I also it without a case and my camera bar is fairly scratch free.
Perfectly done video!
Fantastic review! ❄🥔
This is like my dream phone ❄️
Zach is the only person I have seen who prefers and is more used to the power button placement on the pixel
Great review!
Thanks, Kevin!
I just have my P7P for three days and I love it. The only think I don't like is a type of letter it uses in some places, that it is empty in the middle, and it is difficult to read for me (I'm 61). Do you know how to avoid it?
Good Video Zack.... 🎉. From a proud pixel 7 owner.
Wow, great follow up review. I say drop the curve. It's been a gimmick whose time is over. I bought the 7 about four months ago, and I've really enjoyed it.
This video is a big part of why I’m excited that mine is showing up tomorrow. First time back on android in almost a year or so (tried being solely iOS and i can’t use just one phone/OS) so it hopefully is a good as I’m seeing a lot of folks state it is…
You have got to update us let us know how it went congratulations thanks
@@katinasoutherland7693 it’s out for delivery as we speak. I’ll keep yall posted lol.
Great long-term review, Zac. 🥔
Waiting to see what the Pixel 8 Pro will bring to the table ❄ 🥔
Wonderful video.
My finger print sensor has been working so good lately, I don't know why, but it's been sweet. the only thing different I've done is turn on always on display.
🥔 I know you've been busy on the other channels but it's good to see you upload on yours too!
‘Preciate you 🙏🏽 I aim to upload here more frequently
Flat panels ftw! Glad to see you back Zach ✌🏼
Could you do a comparison between the 6 Pro and 7 Pro?
I find both spec quite similar, but I heard 6 Pro has a lot of bugs, so what is your expert opinion?
Switched from a 3xl to the 7 pro and so far I've loved it. I've been using the 7 pro since launch and the 2 main problems I had with it are the selfie camera and the touch sensitivity issues. The problem I have with the selfie camera is that it was a major downgrade over the 3xl. The 3xl selfie camera had autofocus making selfies incredibly sharp all the time while the 7 pro has fixed focus so if you are not the perfect distance from the phone it will be blurry. That said, it still takes decent photos. Now for the touch sensitivity issues. My 7 pro would randomly and consistently just completely stop responding to touch for around 30 seconds at a time. It would also have instances where parts of the screen seemed to stop working like when scrolling it seemed as though the phone lost track of my finger. However I believe the march update has fixed the touch sensitivity issues as I haven't encountered them since.
Thanks for mentioning the non auto focus selfie cam. I am typing this on my 3xl and my new 7pro just arrived yesterday. The sale price for the 7pro was too good to pass up and since my battery life on the 3xl is only about 40 minutes, it was time for either a new battery or new phone. There was no trade in to get the 7pro on the fast sale Google just had and one day one they only had four 512gb phones in stock, by the next morning only one was left so I snagged it for $330. I haven't activated the new phone yet as my text messages will disappear I think so I'm going through the 3xl to note important information. Cheers!
That 2-button navigation
5:46 closer to mid ranger? Tensor G2 scores ~1400/3800 on Geekbench 6, which is in between SD 888, 8 Gen 1 and 8+ Gen 1, and in some cases renders files even faster than those mentioned chips, only downside is efficiency, thanks to Samsung nm node tech.
I think this is a sign of midrange chips becoming too good rather than Tensor G2 not being good enough...the latest SD 7+ Gen 2 scored 1416/4117 on Geekbench 5, but that is the best of the best of the midrange so I'd say it still is a bit unfair to flat out say Tensor G2 is midrange
@@jerrywu615 So true, midrange is plenty powerful to todays standard, no one even able to use all raw power of CPUs inside phones. With that said, G2 is plenty, even if it scores less than lets say SD 8+ Gen 1, it still managed to so certains things faster, like rendering. Efficiency is different story.
My main man Zach,,,Greeat Review,, thank you
Hey great job on the video ...
You had me at, The lady on the plane with her 3xl. Because that's what I'm watching this review on.
I bought this new in 2020, and it works perfectly, is flawless cosmetically and still gives me about 5 hours screen on time.
I think my biggest complaint is the speakers on the newer models. Front facing stereo speakers is my most favorite feature on a phone. And for Pixel to move the bottom speaker to the bottom,,,SUCKS! 😢. Please Google, bring um back 🙏.
Anyway, the 7pro looks like a winner, but! I am not thrilled with that gigantic camera bump? No, ramp. But I guess with a good case, it'll level out. I also think id rather have a rear finger print sensor. But never had one in screen, so who knows. All in all once I can find one new for around 400, 500, I will probably take a shot. I'm stuck at android 12 now, but still has really good features.
And yes, that's what makes you reviewers like phone millionaires, there's nothing to having the best at your fingertips. Good review, thanks 👍
I still love your work.
The main thing that is helping this phone is that it has been on sale since it came out. At my job the 7 Pro was $499.99, but now 5 months later it is $399.99. Google is banking on users buying them cause they are on sale and upgrading them to a new on in the future. Plus they will making all of that money back by them selling their data. Just makes you question if the phone is really worth $900 when they keep selling it at the price of a 6A
I switched to the pixel 7 from the iphone 11 pro. Does the job just fine and I am not missing the iphone. Truthfully, i dont utilize the ecosystem and i have an ipad and macbook.
I absolutely adore my Pixel 6 & 7 pro!!!!!! I can't wait to get my son & I the 8 pro not cus these aren't amazing it's just how much I truly appreciate all the Google is doing. Also the only thing my son enjoys is his phone he has special needs we try to get him a new one each year for Xmas & he's already seen the new 8 😊 Google has made things so easy for us
2:24 where'd you get that wallpaper?
I recently got a pixel 7 and i notice a yellow tint/shade on my display compared to other vivo/moto phones. Is that normal or?
I've owned the 7 Pro, but in the end, I prefer One UI, and I'm loving the SGS23 Ultra. Still, the 7 Pro is perfect for most people who aren't Samsung sheep like me 😅
I own pixel 7 pro for 4-5 weeks now, so still fresh. Also, how it fits hand is really important to me, so I've purchased "carbon" case (cuz I'm not convinced it's real carbon), but man, it changes the game completely
How is the battery life?
@@RakibKhan-bu4vo doing really well in my case. One day, without any problem...
@@ilijaireland333 I am gonna buy it tomorrow. Is it a bad decision?
@@ilijaireland333 should I consider it buying?
I got my Pixel 7 Pro from Amazon. Recently I learned that the noise in all video recordings have nothing to do with wind noise, but is generated by the phone itself! It turns out that it was previously returned to Amazon because of it. Now, no response on my warranty/support request from neither Amazon nor Google; shocking!
Can we say that the pixel 7 pro is one hot phone!!! Im loving it. The only Minor issue that i have as of now is it takes a little bit to charge fully but thats a minor issue. Pixel 7 pro is a bad azz phone 📱
Good review, thanks. My next phone ❄️
Thanks, Brian!
Wifi & cellular drop happens on my iPhone 13 sometimes and after todays update it happened for like 2 minutes 😅
How is it compared to oneplus 11 im thinking of switching.
Are you going to review apps and do home screen setups again?
He's been posting home screen setups on the Android Police channel and also recently started posting on the How To Men channel as well.
Anyone know why this (newer then iphone and pixel 7 pro hits wifi 6e
Why is the ping 100-125 higher on pixel then iphone ?
Any ideas how to lower that?
Considering I own a Pixel 2 XL, the Pixel 7 Pro looks good. Far better cameras (ones I will use). Plus I no longer get the updates, security or system. I need a reliable phone and it'll be good to have those updates again and 5G.
Love my Pixel 7 Pro!
Easily one of the video intro champions
can you also put kwgt widgets you used in this video??
My only issue with mine is that I put all calls on mute when speaking, with my face, I don't know how I do this, but all calls go on mute when I am talking and I hate it! Other issue is when I am on WhatsApp and be stuck on the call as when trying to do something else the screen be blinking like some sensor is avoiding me to go out from the call. I don't know, this makes me feel upset 😅 by other side I love to can remove people or object from my photos, do a good zoom, and yes , camera is great!
this guy talks in natural 1.25x speed, I'm all here for it.
Thought about the pixel 7 pro but went with the s23 ultra instead. The four years of updates and five years of security patches was some of the deciding factors
You made the right choice
Pixel 7 and 7pro are fantastic phones but they're not on the same level as s23u. My s22 ultra is something else entirely from my pixel 7, the s23 goes further
@@slothymango samsung phones are buggy messes but keep dick riding
Anybody experienced scratches on camera lens due to use without back cover ?
Just got my pixel 7 pro as a second device with my 15 pro max and i cant be happier
Specs today are only making marginal changes, very often not justifying the price difference. So the true value today is given by software, and in therms of innovation, Pixel is currently King in my opinion.
hwo u made the wallpaer/ homescreen
Guys I heard there are lot of heat issues are those issues still there after latest update
I have had the 7 pro since release day the only thing I'm disappointed about is the video, why is the noise always around the outside of the video that you take, I was actually relieved to see it in your video, but highly recommend the phone
I've used a bunch of android phones over the years and they'll have an issue every once in a while.
The problems on the Pixel have been easy to fix and haven't been frequent or anything. The difference is that when the Pixel has an issue, it's always something so weird.
Definitely time for the Pixel to drop the curved display. Looks like that's going to happen on the 8 Pro.
I’ve been a happy iPhone user since the 4S, but I’m being tempted by the Pixel 7 Pro and S23 Ultra… I love the look and overall experience of pure android that you get with the Pixels, but the S23 Ultra’s superior screen is very attractive. Not sure what I’ll do…
Don't. Samsung software experience is trash
Get a pixel not Samsung. I had the S23 for a week and it’s not pure android at all and not as stable. Pixel is pure android basically the iPhone of android
I have a pixel and an iPhone. The pixel is a dream to use and feels less restrictive than the iphone . Everything on the pixel is much easier to use
@@marksouthwell4490 I agree with this but they need to improve the battery on pixel
The Google map sucks....once you use the map while using another app, it won't read in overlay. I've not found a solution to it yet.
Is it still worth it or should i rather wait for the Pixel 8 Pro? And will there another Pre Order offer for the Pixel 8 Pro?
What's your phone setting to get 9 hours of SoT? My SoT is only about 5 hours
No setting. Just very light use. I average 7hrs normally.
I love mine. It's by far the smartest phone I've used. Tasks are so easy, my phone almost organises itself.
And that little curve is awesome for back navigation in a case.
Zach! When's the OnePlus 11 review coming?
That’s next! Hopefully next week 🤞🏽
Why Google says it's a "PRO" offering a mid-range processor?
oneplus 11 vs Pixel 7 Pro for a standard user ??
Hell, I've run a Pixel 3 XL since its launch and its still running great.
Take care of your phone and it'll last!
ngl i want the pro for the curve display
I know the Google Pixel 7 Pro has 128 GB storage but how much of the storage is used up by the phone’s “system” right out of the box? How much storage will I actually have for my pic, vids, apps, etc, Thanks
Out of the box I believe it’s in the ballpark range of around 20GB or so taken up by the system.
@@ZachAnderson Thank you for your quick response to my question. Great review vid!
@@ZachAndersonI bought the P7P and it has exceeded my expectations! The performance and functionality are excellent and the camera is AMAZING!
