If you get a chance check out Mesa Verde in S/W Colorado. They used to let you go down into one if the ceremonial pits. Or Chaco Canyon used to house thousands, but they say it was for ceremonial purposes only. They can actually see roads come in and out of the valley, one of which goes straight to Mesa Verde. If you go though, don't try to take your trailer as it's very rough unpaved road for miles before you get to the park (and don't try to get there from the south as it's about 25-30 miles of bumpy dirt roads). Canyon de Chelly is another good one, with it's Cliff Palace, but I believe it's closed cause it's in the Navajo Reservation. Great to see you having such a good time and sharing it with us.
Hi again KATE My question too! Can you imagine living there?! Dugout places in the rocks/cliffs! Quite spectacular! Also never I'm my life have I seen flat clouds! I'll have to do a bit of research on that. Missed Lil Leaf but a good thing you didn't take her anyway because she would have wanted to jump all over lol. You did it again finding another Coool place Kate. Thx as always Stay safe and Hugs for the critters.
Chaco Canyon in northwest New Mexico is pretty cool too. I went there in the 70's and you could tell the site was filled with spirits of the past. I sat for hours and hated to leave.
Bandelier National Monument is sick. Haven't been here in years, and I'm very jealous. It's sort of like a mini Mesa Verde, which you should also visit since you're in that general area.
Great tour. The "short room" looked like it may have been a water reservoir. A thousand years ago the area was much wetter. There may have been a spring in there. There are cave dwellings in Israel that look similar. Good Luck, Rick
What an amazing place to show us. And those beautiful clouds for a special Cloud that day. Just amazing! I will see that place some day. Thank you

You were lucky to visit there when there were no people there. 😎👍 My research says that 10 to 15 families lived there.
Wow! This is so cool! I love to explore places like this. The views were amazing.

Imagine those caves when the wooden floors and when they were finished out and used!! What an amazing place.
@7:54 is that little structure food storage? Probably not, just curious. Did the plaques say anything about it?
Very cool...thanks for sharing!
The cloud formations are beautiful Lenticular clouds. Google or Wikipedia will tell you about them.
Nice video!
👍 😎
Think those clouds are Lenticularis or UFO clouds. Very common here in Central Otago, NZ.
Cool, Before van life, there was cave life...
I just googled it it was the mogollon culture

I wonder how they would get to Ikea and back without a car?
