    Please Bruins don't trade my boy Freddie! Putting him with Coyle and Marchand is perfect- he has proven that he can score, play a physical game too, and is great for the team. Of those PTO choices a younger one may make more sense, but Clutterbuck maybe. Kaliyev? Not worth losing Freddie, but he could turn over a new leaf here IF NOT in an ill advised trade. Yesss! You nailed Freddy. He's always been significant since he took NHL ice.
    We saw him developing into a two-way player last season.
    2021- 22 he was a big part of that 11 12 13 line... the most consistent line for most of that season...(Charlie Coyle and Craig Smith.)
    One of my last turn-offs with Bruce Cassidy was the way he humiliated Freddy when Trent took on Alex Ovechkin
    Mad respect for Cassidy's coaching skill, yet I didn't like that. Humiliating prospects for having grit.( Was the beginning of the season. Let him make an arse of himself and the players will take care of the young bucks!)
    I've heard Freddy described as "a young Marchand" only much taller!
    Monty knows how to employ Freddy.
    He's not going anywhere - he's a bear
    I have a feeling that any PTO that comes in will be out of left field.
    It's like their wild card.
    Good stuff.
    Go Bs!

      Yeah, I’m sure the other channel reads the same articles. I’m honestly of the opinion that we should let the kids play, and if they can't handle it, then look to fill the spot via the trade market. I don't have my hopes for the PTO market this year.

  • @mlss4908
    @mlss4908 2 месяца назад +2

    Sweeney keeps acquiring veteran bottom 6 forwards and hopes that one of them is magically gonna turn into a top sixer- all the while not leaving much opportunity for any of the AHL guys to prove themselves. Both Monty and Cassidy were reluctant to give the young wingers much chance in the big show. Just hire more veterans to plug in the gaps. Bruins talk a lot about “internal competition”, but that turns out to be almost exclusively already established NHL veterans.
    Sign Sway first, and leave 2RW completely open. May the best man win!

    • @bruinsdiehards
      @bruinsdiehards  2 месяца назад

      I hope they let the kids try for the spots. I know this isn't a popular opinion but I think both Cassidy and Monty do let the kids play. A lot of the decisions about using vets more I think comes from Sweeney and Cam. Coaches can only play the lineup they're given. Just my two cents

      @stephendimino332 Месяц назад

      I say only sign sway for 6 mil or hit the road. Our d made our goalies great. We will do It again. The bruins modus operandi has always been sign vets on the back end of their carreer. Cheap and proven. Less minutes so they can shine. Nothing wrong there. Lysell and poitras will get their chance. What do you think about that?

    • @mlss4908
      @mlss4908 Месяц назад +1

  • @timothyflanigan1777
    @timothyflanigan1777 Месяц назад +1

    you always take the best player available. because where the bruins draft, it could be three or four years before they see the NHL. the last 30 years the bruins have to have one of the worst draft records. that is under five different GM"S. i include Jeff Gorton even though he was the in term GM, because Ottawa did not let Chiarelli start as the Bruins GM until after the 2006 draft.

    TF will never break out, he is limited with his skills because he is confused as hec am i a fighter/goon or am i a scorer/contributor. Not to say he couldnt do both just very very difficult. Name 1 player that gets into fights or inching to get into a fight every game has a 20+ goal a season with 40 assist exactly NONE. You either can only think about the game as a scorer defense offense generator or a goon nothing else. And he is neither lost as shit out there.

      Good question! Well, Swayman is 25 now, and McAvoy is 26, so this is a tough one. I would go with Johnny Beecher. The easy answer is Mason Lohrei, but I felt Beecher made a massive jump for the Bruins during the playoffs. I like Poitras as well, but I need to see how he comes back after his injury this year. Beecher has shown he can play both ends of the ice and with pace.
