- The Boston Bruins played game 3 of the preseason last night and looked terrible. Thank god it's preseason. Matthew Poitras and Mark Kestelic showed they belong in the NHL once again.
David Pastrnak, Pavel Zacha, and Nikita Zadorov made their preseason debuts but looked slow; at least they didn't get injured.
We saw a glimpse of the McAvoy and Zadorov paring, but they need more time to gel.
Brandon Bussi didn't look like the goalie people say could fill in for Jeremy Swayman.

Who stood out to you in last nights game?
The player that stood out to me was the Bruins roster defenseman that should l've been partnering with McAvoy - he wasn't on the ice!
Someone who's familiar with the system.
I believe that was a key to the game last night
Otherwise, Jonathan quick, fun to watch.
But no one on the bruins! Lol!

I think Bussi has a lot more to give. Has not had an opportunity to develop NHL vision & tracking
was playing behind the keystone cops - that was confusing!
Interesting they had Bussi play the full game. Now I'm wondering whether he is on the trading block.
We know Depietro on NHL ice, I'm holding off on the other goalies yet.
Especially an undrafted guy like Bussi.

That was a stinker last night plain and simple. Agreed not much positive to talk about.
A tough one. Hopefully, we see a better effort this weekend. Monty didn't seem to be pleased with the effort after the game.
They are going 1/2 time, they are building up to the start of the season.
I only watched up to halfway through the 2nd, preseason lol. Poitras will be fun to watch.

Every time I say something good about a player, they suck and I wake up to 1 million comments, calling me an idiot. And then, when I insult the player unfairly, they score a hat trick 😂. Zadorov did me dirty last night LOL

Bussi is for sure not ready for the NHL. in his defense he only has 2 seasons of AHL play. His rebound control was for sure lacking to say it nicely. On the first goal bussi made the save but then swept the puck right to Fox for the goal.
Macavoy was pinching on the breakaway goal, he was down in the right wing corner below the goal line!! There is not reason he should be down there on the forecheck. If he would have been even close to were he should have been he would have been able to help out on the back check on the breakaway.
I was nervous when Poitras took the hit along the boards and was slow to get up, it was the same type of hit last year that injured him. Other then that he played really well.
Many people have said Bussi is the future, but I’m not seeing it yet. He looks tentative, not always square to the puck and goes down far too early. The good news is Poitras got back up and kept playing
I hope they trade Sway, honestly, I’m just tired of his bullshit

@@bruinsdiehards Be careful what you ask for. Tying up 8 million a year for 8 years when you could only potentially get a couple good years out of that contract puts a team in a really hard spot. Also leaves absolutely no cap space for another top six winger.
I wanna rage, BIg Z better show me something man wtf. I gotta see 4-5 reg season games before i comment on our squad again! Poitras just needs lots of time under tension drills

Why do so many people think Swayman shouldn’t get paid? This is his one chance for a long term high paying contract. Would they rather a bridge deal then in 2 years with the cap going up he demands 12-15?
I’m not sure why to be honest. When forwards or defense want the big bucks no one bat an eye
@@bruinsdiehardsfrankly I thought an 8 by 8 was pretty much perfect for both the team and him. But I’m personally frustrated with the people saying he doesn’t even deserve a 6 mil by 4 year deal and they want him traded like he isn’t arguably one of the top 5 goalies in the league.

At this junction, my biggest concern is the undisclosed ELindholm injury that some channels are claiming could/might keep him out for the season. Of course, I hope they are all wrong. However, where is he? What's his status?
They have to be wrong because Monty said he will be back next week if he isn't back this weekend. However, those channels are they might look into this a little more. I played Monty's comments in my last video.

i read that swayman's market value says 6 to 7 million. they should of went to arbitration. this is getting sickening. we all know how bruins fans can be....sway is not making a fanclub with this hold out and if he signs he will get booed as soon as a soft goal goes in.
I’m not sure of what he would have gotten at arb as there is no real comparable for him. If he went to arbitration the Bruins would have walled him to UFA status and is why they didnt do it.
@@bruinsdiehards its just frustrating. to me it seems like the bruins made every point to show him he is the guy and he returns by holding them hostage. ive always liked and defended him but he's testing my patience. it appears that he's got a huge ego problem. just how it looks and sounds. the goals that eliminated him /bruins in the last 2 playoffs is not worth 900k. nevermind 10 milliion.

Salaries escalate and I can't afford to attend nhl anylonger. Its priced me out. So nhl players wanting the moon know where they can go in my opinion/.

This isn't easy to say, but I have serious fears for the Black And Gold this season. I didn't even watch the highlights just heard we got slaughtered last night. Poitras is good and there were a few big positives in the W vs the Caps, but we need to gel as a team, get back to where we belong, and that means being able to win vs really big and less high ranked opponents. The main concern you brought up that I totally agree with is goaltending. I just hope the Bruins can survive this year- my fear is we may end up the way we were in the 2021-2022 season.
Goaltending is my only concern at this point. I think they have a strong forward group and as long as they don't get hit with the injury bug they will be fine.
@@bruinsdiehards Yes really strong on forwards and I think with Lindholm and if he give Tufte a chance then goaltending is the one big concern. I watched the highlights- dumpster of a game for us and Bussi was as you said terrible.
It wasn’t as bad as it looked on paper really. Bussi was the one who looked the most lost out there, and I know that isn’t fair because most of the goals weren’t his fault but I think that’s why people are concerned. That and Zadorov stunk on ice, but I’m not reading too far into it yet

Did you notice that our top two lines let the rangers top lines shoot at will in the first period, then less in the second and only 5 shots in the third? I think the bruins wanted to test bussi. And he failed.
