But yes
On 30 seconds in. But red flags already. Even a DUI won't cause insurance to get that high from what I've seen.
You'd be surprised. Too many insurance claims for miscellaneous damages & tows within a year can sky rocket your insurance.
She couldnt drive for Uber if she had a DUI.
Dang a 17 minute Ramsey question.
Hi Dave, As I listen to your show, the principle of combining Humanity with Divinity is showing. By helping others (humanity) God multiplies your efforts (Divinity) . God Bless you and your company.
I love uncle Dave he will never go out of style Dave's teaching will be part of my inherent to my children.
You are limited by your own mind set. Those words speak volumes..
Jade-You HAVE done it. You have succeeded with a great company.
I work remote. Put 5k a year on my car which is a three year old Toyota. Perfect record. Not even a speeding ticket since 1991. My insurance is 1k a year. 400 is uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage. My area does not enforce traffic laws. Just yesterday I watched six cars run a red left arrow while I was waiting to straight on a green. My liability is a small part of the bill too. We changed insurance two years ago because liberty mutual was going to charge me twice that amount.
1050 a month between car payment and insurance. Yikes. And keep aware of your tickets and points.
My car lease and car insurance is almost $930 :(
Yes, she needs to get a "real job" and it's ridiculous that she can afford a car with a $450 monthly payment but needs taxpayers to pay her rent and I'm assuming other things too
How do you not know that you have points on your license? 🧐
Sounds like she is a bad driver. 5 points is huge IMHO.
If you’re not able to financially take care of yourself, you won’t be able to take care of a kid. Don’t have children if you can’t afford them.
She couldn’t help it. Keeping her legs closed, or at least being a responsible adult, was just not an option.
No sht Sherlock. Clearly she can’t back track the kids. I’m sure many people aren’t having kids thinking “oh I won’t be able to provide”
Things happen. Maybe she was married when she had the kids.
@@lauvasquez7198 And picked a bad partner to have kids with, ended up divorced, so now that’s our problem and responsibility to pay her AND the kid’s way? You won’t get much support with that.
@@brandon18054 did I miss where we are paying for her bad choices?
This is some real shit 💯
I work a M-F job as a government contractor and work at Hooters in the kitchen on the weekends. No benefits at either job.
If you were dating this woman, Dave would ask “when y’all getting married?” 😂🤣
Only terrible drivers get penalize with crazy rates by the insurance companies,if you drive for living this situacion can be very stressful, 9 years driving for lyft and uber,35k rides in miami,0 accidents,no points on my license but you have to be a very good driver..!
Different insurance company and stop doing uber. That's the biggest factors that she's not mentioning, yeah point's hurt insurance but insurance companies usually charge premiums on Rideshare based income.
I thought this was going to be about health insurance because yes it is that expensive. Car insurance shouldn't be that much.
Health insurance isn't expensive if you don't have any. I haven't had health insurance for over 14 years. You are a sucker if you are single and have health insurance.
I was mad when I received my new quote from my insurance company for full coverage insurance at $90 a month.
Bad driver of course your going to hike up your insurance.
Get a scooter or somethin like that or use public transportation.
I pay $394 for the year for auto insurance. I drive a 16 year old Buick. I have the state minimum insurance. I have been doing this for 25 years. Don't over insure.
Ok if you don't have alot of money and a good driver I guess. Working in the auto insurance industry...I seen that backfire on people sometimes.
Hope your putting away money to replace it if something happens
If you have an auto loan, you have to carry full insurance.
yep! I pay $450 per year for insurance on my 2005 Ford - I've owned it for 16 years.
Because your 16 year old Buick is only worth a bag of beans. You probably pay liability for a car that old
where does the DUI fit in to this picture?
No one said anything about any DUI.
@@jimmymcgill6778 that’s his point
@@Jay-om8gr No one said anything about DUI.
People get tickets for any number of reasons.
Great response by Dave.
I think the government programs are a good thing for people who need them as a safety net. The problem is a lot of people get stuck in them so then they're not available for folks that need the safety net.
A few years back before I learned of Dave, my cars engine blew and I needed a replacement that day. I saw a dealer with good prices and told the salesman my budget of 4-5k. He showed me a 20k Buick which was really nice and my head swam with the idea of new car with a good down payment. But I'm sure I could hear dave through space and time screaming that I was losing my dadgum stupid-butt mind because I rejected it and got lost. Thanks Dave! For all my good past and future decisions!
Great take at the end of this call Dave & Jade ❤
She either needs to start doing some insurane company searching or start riding a bike.
a pull cart to get your groceries is 28$.
Almost 1k in payments toward maintaining a car and you're on govt assistance? M'kay
Her husband is the state and we are paying.
Jeez, maybe you should be a safer driver. How the heck do you get five points on your record??
How did she get points without realising 😮
Probably paid the tickets and didn’t really think about it. As a result, she didn’t think to fight the tickets in court to avoid points on her license
i am absolutely on the opposite side of the politcal spectrum from Dave, but one THOUSAND percent agree with his point of view on this.. I do believe tehre is racism, there is discrimination, but ulitmately the only way to succeed is to move from victim to empowered believer.. to push, to fight, and to work hard. I love the woman that called in and I love dave's feedback. totally aligned! See? we can agree!
6:05 Depending on where you live, the subway is a decent mode of transportation…. Just saying
NOT N.Y. C. GET KIILLED
In nyc you can even pay half if you're poor
Dave talks as though women are the only ones who go through financial hardship, talk to the man who is dealing with divorce or child support 💯
Don’t have kids if your broke
600 a month what the heck
The caller has a car loan, so she is REQUIRED by the lender to have full collision coverage, which is usually THE most pricey part of a policy. Get a $2K car for cash, ditch the collision coverage. Likely won't qualify to drive Uber any more, but that's OK.
It would be nice to hear follow-up stories.
This girl is a keeper
Rofll
A queen
😂
A single mom? I wouldn’t do it
@@TheTK42 He was being sarcastic. (lol)
Hiw do you not know about 5 points on your license?
Girlfriend has a DUI / DWI or some other issue. Ain't NOBODY paying $600 / month unless they have an expensive Mercedes car and she's living in Section-8 housing too?
She's driving for a living and putting strangers in the car all day
@@georgewagner7787 Even then, it's NOT going to cost $600 per month. My friend drives for Uber / Lyft.
My friend’s got a reckless driving ticket and the insurance for them was insane for a few years after.
Pay your insurance, you're leaching off welfare getting plenty of freebies, smh.
Great video!! For the single mom,I hope the babies daddy is paying. If not go through child court system in her area. Instantly work on the advice from your call. I wish you much success.
She also lives in Boston MA. That's a super exspensive place.
