- Natalie MacMaster with her 4 oldest children (ages 7, 6, 4 and 2) at the Dublin Irish Festival, August 4, 2013. What an amazingly talented family! I guarantee that by the end you will have a huge smile on your face. And maybe even a tear in your eye....
What an excellent mother to spend all those hours teaching her children to play and dance!
So true! Trust me, hours are many! My significant other Gregory Ayriyan teaches my son... Natali's little one is everything! I just found her channel now!
If you can play an instrument, you can always make money. It's a good life skill. I'm a busker myself, sometimes you don't make much, but ALWAYS enough to survive!
I would imagine Donnell Lahey mighta had a wee bit to do with teaching them to play and dance given who he and his family are. Both sides of those childrens family are East Coast Celtic Royalty
Natalie, you ROCK!!!!!!! and so do your little ducklings....What a sweet thing to behold. Thanks for posting this MrPeabodyPA2.
Absolutely a delight to watch Natalie with her children!! She has worked very hard with them & it certainly shows!!The music is right in those children!!What awesome parents!!
Hello how are you doing?
&
Absolutely no truer words spoken! ❤
No truer words spoken!
No truer words spoken!
That was a joy to watch. Brought tears to my eyes. You rock Natalie, and so do your kids.
ME TOO I CRIED TEARS AND HOW THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL FAMILY FULL OF LOVE
Absolutely loved it! I laughed and cried! Such talent from a beautiful lady and children! Cape Breton has talent!
Yay! Someone else knows she's from Cape Breton. Both my paternal grandparents were from there.
Oh, my. I saw Ms. MacMaster when either her oldest or second was still nursing. It's been a while. She is a great entertainer and seems a great advocate of the Cape Breton Island musical tradition.
What a beautiful and talented family. They not only play the violin but they dance so amazingly well too.
I've never commented on a uTube video before but this is one I cannot 'not' comment on. Possibly the best thing I've ever seen. St Anne's Reel will never sound the same again.
Smile on my face, catch in my throat and clapping along to the very end.
What a gift to the children.
Well done Mum and Dad.
this is amazing and a wonderful utubi
Well said, Brilliant
Totally agree. Only the Irish make such beautiful music 🎵🎶🎶🎵 and dance 🩰🤩
@@paulabennett4788 Only the Irish, eh? They're from Cape Breton, Canada.
Great Family So Blessed
Just adorable, what a remarkable woman + mother. So much talent as she plays herself yet also teaches her children violin playing and Irish dancing. To co-ordinate the string instruments and then the dancing would take hours n hours of dedication by all of them. The children are gorgeous too
Thank God, people exist like this to lift the spirits.
You are so right Mega
The look of pride on mom’s already beautiful face will stick in my mind. What a wonderful family!
What confident children! I love their joyous dancing. Even the toddler! Wow!
Absolutely heart warming! Just precious! Well done all!
😃😊I'm very pleased to know I'm not the only one that loves the song but when last did you play it.
You can clearly hear the origins of country and bluegrass music here and how it came to America. The Scots Irish people have this in their culture and their blood. I love every minute of this wonderful music.
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, MY HATS OFF TO NATALIE AND HER HUSBAND FOR SUCH A WONDERFUL JOB BRINGING THEIR KIDS INTO SUCH GREAT TALENT. EXCELLENT JOB ! MAKES MY HEART SING FOR JOY TO SEE SUCH WONDERFUL TALENT.
What a talented family, and what a great Mother ,and such beautiful mannered children .. Take a bow Mum you deserve it ...... ..................West of Ireland music lover..............
What an amazing Mom, it’s not just music and dance. It’s a celebration of Irish culture, who you are who you were, this music and this dance is Ireland and a huge part of what it is to be Irish, Good for you Mom and family, we are all better people knowing the truth and the feel and the love of our heritage.
Natalie is Cape Breton Scots she's not Irish, Donnell her husband is Irish Canadian.
Awesome gift to you all and others thank you for sharing ur songs with us all. .thanks...
If you are not smiling and tapping your feet as this performance ends then you must be dead! Wonderful Mother.
Absolutely a beautiful way
To raise a family together.
Thanks Mom
Actually brought me to tears watching them play so wonderfully , Mom has really been working with them and has done such a good job bless you all
My second comment. This one of a handful of videos that when I see it I have to watch it. It's good for my soul.
Many parents could take lessons from this family. While children are learn to fiddle and dance, they can be happy and proud. Also keeps them off cell phones and computers. Wonderful parenting! GOD bless
I wish I was gifted in music to have been able to teach my own kids and grand daughter.
Brilliant 👏🏼 thank you 😊

I so love and respect the Irish! Fabulous family you are! Thanks!
They're not Irish.
They’re 🇨🇦
@@WhirlyPearlythey're Cape Breton Scots/Ontario Irish, Donnell and his siblings were born in a little town in and around the Kawarthas.I saw them playing in Shelburn years and years ago.
Just seen this amazing lady today in Pit Pony. Really lifts your spirits! Thanking you x clever children too...lovely show ❤
Very sweet! This made me smile after being awake for several days - with my sick and dying pug.
So much joy in this family. Thank you for sharing some with me. I hope you all are doing well. May God bless
each of you.

@@alkent8570 Thank you for your kindness and your prayers. Very much appreciated!
Music is a gift for lifetime and future generations, especially this Irish traditional music and dance.
Listening gives me chills. What a wonderful family performance!
It's not like a pagent that only goes on looks, this is showcasing real talent. It's something that a person will enjoy doing all their lives. And make a career out of it.
Bravo!!!
Not only talent, but real life perseverance!
Gods blessings to y’all ❤️😀
Those kids dancing was the cutest thing I have seen in a long time!
>. I danced with Miss MacMaster in Birmingham Alabama back in the late 90s🎉
What a big smile on my face watching these lovely children. Thank you.
Awesome family. This video brings back all the sweet memories of my student life in Dublin in the seventies. 👍😍🙏🙏🙏
What an incredible show! These kids and their mum are amazing!! Thank you so much proud and beautiful Irish people! Hugs from Italy ❤️
Just to let you know this family is from Nova Scotia in Eastern Canada but I can understand why you'd think they were from Ireland.

What an amazing, talented musical family ! From the very young, this is simply amazing and awesome !
Watching this beautiful, talented family made my heart sing. ❤❤❤
I remember watching Natalie in concert at Clarendon dock in Belfast a long time ago, she was supposed to be the second act but stole the whole night, absolutely amazing musician, the main band that night were called lunasa but Natalie blew them out the water like a torpedo
God bless your kids miss McMaster its lovely to see our irish heritage surviving, while others are hiding our history from our kids, this is why I'm proud to be irish. God bless our Irish Patriots, new and old.

She's Canadian from Cape Breton and she's Scottish.
@@helenramsdell1959 Perhaps John Paul should have said "Celtic" heritage. The Irish and Scots overlap in their cultures.

This is wonderful. I get to see this kind of playing every summer at the local fiddle festivals, even doing the same songs. Really young kids getting up and playing away on the fiddle. And you get to watch them improve as they grow up. It's also fun to compete yourself if you play a stringed instrument.
Made my day here in the south of Brazil. Love to see Celtic music flourish.
These children are all adorable and so cute especially the youngest girl dancing. Very talented indeed thank you Greeting from NZ
Exceptionally talented young artists. Brilliant!
I wish I could see where these children are today. What talent. It came up in my recommended & I love Irish music, dancing, so clicked on it instantly.
Now they are 7 years older much talent
Saw them at Celtic Colours two years ago! I am so amazed at her ability to teach those children...
😊😊I'm very pleased to know I'm not the only one that loves the song but when last did you play it.
They have seven children now.
Ha, That sure put a smile on my miserable face. Great job ! well done ! Those kids sure stole the show and our hearts.
Hope you're still smiling!!!
Natalie MacMaster, what a great treat for my husband and I it was to see you fiddling performance at a Lunenburg Music Festival, golden hair flying in a breeze from the harbor and your feet dancing out the rhythm on the dock! So happy to see you and hear you and your little ones perform. Thank you.😊
Born to perform and entertain just like their ancestors. Marvelous
Seems like a caring mother. Nice. G'day from Australia mate and CHEERS.
How adorable and what great little fiddlers.🎻🎻❤🎻
With what's going on here in 2020 this is a tonic I desperately needed. The fiddle is true Irish and the kids adorable esp. the last two many thanks from a old Veteran.
It's not true Irish. It's Cape Breton, which is closer to Scottish.
You cannot possibly get any better than this. Just awesome. So young and talented like their Mom.
WHAT A TREAT TO BE ABLE TO WATCH AND HEAR SUCH BEAUTIFUL MUSIC AND PERFORMANCE THIS FAMILY GIVES US. I JUST LOVE WATCHING THESE VIDEOS. I HAVE WATCHED THESE MANY TIMES OVER BECAUSE IT INSPIRES ME.
What a treat! Thank you, Natalie and children!
We loved seeing Natalie live years ago, and it is so much fun seeing her children with her now!
Nova Scotians are SO incredibly proud of you, Natalie, and of your amazing family!!! What a delightful performance. You are wonderful ambassadors for your province and for Celtic music. The talent is obvious and is being carried on to the next generation. Huge round of applause for all of you!!

they are absolutely adorable and talented too. How could they not with mom and dad being the best. thanks for posting this video. WONDERFUL!!!!
Oh my, how I miss seeing the young people play like this and do the Beautiful Irish Dancing as well. I have 5 Grandsons and the second oldest is the only one interested in the music. He plays Trumpet, this is his first year but he loves it and when you love what you are doing, you will grow at it better and better. These students shown here are a sign of a wonderful future ahead and that OUR IRISH CRAFT WILL NOT END BUT WILL THRIVE IN THE FUTURE BECAUSE OF TEACHERS LIKE NATALIE! Great job Natalie!!!
It’s brilliant :-)) I think this is more Scottish step dancing that we’re taught in Scotland where the arms are freer and there’s more a tap as opposed to legs going up. Celtic crossover I guess.
Yes, it certainly is Scottish as my Auntie Margaret could do it, the origins of Irish dancing started off using the Scottish style and it progressed into the Irish dance you see now.
Love, love love this! family values and a great Cape Breton role model. A joy to watch. Brought many smiles to my face! All the best to you and your family! xo
I love this so much. A master class in how to keep one's culture going. Natalie is made of awesome (and so are her kids).
God Bless you and your lovely children.

Amazing family.
The irish culture is a example of resistence as a way of life.

Cape Breton music and dancing is a style all its own, but comes from Scotland rather than Ireland.
Thank's for shere✌
The beauty and emotion of music is so
wonderful for the soul. Absolutely brilliant and touching.. The joy of creativity and smiles....
I saw Natalie dancing around on stage pregnant in Seattle and thought, that woman is amazing. Her kids will be amazing too.

Don't complain about the audience clapping along. Not many groups can engage an audience to that extent. It just shows how much the people appreciate Natalie and her fine family. The Leahy family grew up not that far from where I did. There is a lot to be said for growing up on a farm.
Oh wow!!!! What amazing children and what an amazing mum to teach them to do all that so young and instill such confidence in them 😇😇😇😇❤️❤️🙏
Saw this family in concert last year. Parents and kids are so talented and hard working!
