In 2022, Chevy sold 111,000 Malibu's! This year, sales are even higher YTD. Still seen as a good value car for the money.

I’d grab one of these if there was a deal on them because they’re often used as fleet cars/rentals. Drove the 1.5t as a rental and it’s surprisingly good as a daily driver. Takes regular and gets over 30 MPG. It’s definitely stuck in the last gen of cars, but has similar powertrain to the fancy Sonatas out now. I’d only get it if it was like $16k CPO.

Again a great review. But the air compressor with that bottle of Fix-A-Flat instead of at least a donut spare tire is a bad thing.

If only GM wised up and competed with the Camry TRD by making a new RS package w/a facelift, the new 2.7L turbo, and a proper 8-speed transmission. Even if it’s a last hoo-rah, I’d rather they end the line with a bang.

I have always preferred base model cars from Honda or Toyota, but this base Chevy Malibu is pretty good for what you get standard, I feel the same way about Kia and Hyundai, Nissan and Subaru cars. These days you get a lot of feathers standard on cars.

shame they discontinued the Cruze, because that actually sold better than the Malibu.
although that's mainly the first gen 2011 - 2015 Chevy Cruze, the second gen had
better power, but it didn't sell as well as the first gen, i see them everywhere.
so i can see why GM cut it, the Malibu was always a weird car.
GM could never quite get it right, which is why the car got restyled twice.
they should've kept the 2.4. that was a better engine in my opinion, but that 1.5 ain't bad,
but putting a CVT in their was a mistake. the 2016 - 2019 Malibu had the 2.4,
but if you needed more power, there was a 2.0 turbo charged engine.
the Impala was another they cut.

Nice car but $26,415 for just a 4 door sedan with a 1.5L 4 cylinder turbo and no spare tire? Eh...I rather buy a Nissan Versa for $20,000 and you do get the spare tire with a 1.6L 4 cylinder non turbo but you do get 40 mpg on the highway so thats a fair deal to me.
