Having raced at this track IRL. Here's my take:
T1 - Brake on the big bump immediately entering the road course section if you want to be fast. 50/50 shot at stuffing your car in the barrier if you do this. Aim for the pit wall if you're brave enough. So your options are: Brake before the bump and hate yourself, brake after the bump, run wide and hate yourself or brake on the bump and hate yourself after stuffing it in the tire barrier in T2.
T2 - fuck this corner in particular. You're going to miss the apex, and you're going to run wide. Every time. (I saw a $100k+ vintage Mustang stuff it in the fence and land on top of a tire barrier here. They made him pay for the fence and the tire barrier)
T3/T4 - Don't fuck it or it will fuck you. The kerbing is nearly a foot high. Why? Doesn't matter. It's one purpose is to destroy your car. How do I know? I locked up going into it. The exit of 4 is also slightly off camber and this is where people like to watch. So don't make a fool of yourself by over correcting into the wall.
T5 - Foot high kerbing II. People love to try to make passing moves here...
T6 - Do some soul searching while you're here, you have time. While you're soul searching, search for that apex amid all the understeer In the world. Ultimately run wide and cry yourself to sleep in the truck you towed your car to the track in.
T7. 180 degrees of shitstorm. Someone else will take a worse line through here in front of you EVERY LAP. You'll be forced to compromise your speed onto the oval. EVERY LAP. If you are lucky enough to not put up with other cars for a lap you'll quickly realize you've never done this corner at speed and you'll find yourself in a sweet sweet make out session with the wall.
OVAL: It's slick.... Even in a MX5 with 113hp.
PIT EXIT: At least the organization was kind enough to wrap cones around and exit into T2... Which everyone runs wide anyway. So it's totally safe.
The revisions the new owners made to the road course helped so much. That new chicaine is really nice. It’s a good track to learn your chops on; I hope that it gets used for competition racing some day, like the Trans Am series or US Formula 3.

Literally looked up to see if there were any good track videos since I’m racing here this weekend. Let’s just say I was pleasantly surprised.

I’ve raced this track in real life and honestly, getting really close to that wall at turn 8 can be a bit scary

If they were trying to get the interstate they put the cars too close. It looks like they're going into the parking lot

TTTMusic because 90% of the infield is for motorhomes, the garages and the haulers and the roads that are in place are for local traffic mostly.
Not to mention Daytona has a friggen lake in it.
