Does anyone else have a Dad who spoke like Graham & miss that generation of men (baby boomers) who ALL spoke similar when women weren't around? I mean, doctors, teachers, tradesmen, business owners, etc... All walks of life & income levels. I miss it. My Dad's company worked a renovation job at the late Kerry Packer's country estate ("Ellerston" it might have been named). Even that billionaire spoke similar when out in the fields.
How good is Spanian at interviewing though. Shy guests that dont talk much he can always keep the conversation flowing and not make it awkward at all and blokes like this that love to talk and tell mad stories he just lets them speak. Pretty impressive I must say!

Qld Australia cop boss in 1970s had to also be paid bribe money as well as dealing with NSW cop boss gang to save a great guy from prison. Lovely good man and glad I met him and the company of people. Best quality in Australia Sydney. Will not ever forget hospitality and was not treated as inferior.

As an Irish lad living in Sydney the last 7 years I knew nothing about this man or much at all of the old school Sydney days. F#ck I felt like I was there when he was telling this story as I know nearly every street mentioned.. could of listened for another two hours! Fukin love $hit like this🔥🔥
Look up some of these colourful Sydney crims, starting with Darcy Dugan, Stan the man Smith, Arthur Neddy Smith, Lennie MacPherson, George Freeman, Jockey Smith, Dave Kelleher, & all their criminal associates?. That was Sydney's best, from the 1960's, 70's & 80's. The decade of the 1990's, was the decade of the changing of the guard, there was a changing of the guard on the inside(prison system) & on the outside(in the community). And the changing of the guard occurred in the Sydney criminal world, but also in corrective services & in the NSW police force??. That changing of the guard started in the late 80's following a couple of royal commissions (Nagle, Fitzgerald & Wood), then changes in sentencing legislation in NSW with the introduction of truth in sentencing. Major changes in the nsw prison system after the riots, with new minister & commissioner Yabsley & Woodham, loss of remissions for inmates, electricals, etc. The Ron Woodham plan of divide & conquer of the NSW prison population by race segregation & tasty dog biscuits for telling on people they started giving out to good tellers😂?. And by the turn of the century 2000, a new NSW prison system was born, a new type of crim, a new type of screw, a new type of cop & a whole new world now?. And all that change only took 10 years, the decade of the 1990's. The decade of the last of the Mohicans, there's still a few old soldiers left, a shout out to you & God bless you, & the many already in the ground, rest in peace brother's & sister's ❤🙏.

Alotta Aboriginals back then were either taken from their families you know Stolen Generation and all that or they kept their Aboriginality on the down low in fear of being treated differently which is why some Aboriginal kids grew up not knowing they were Aboriginal it was what it was but this is why in our community we have the dark skin/light skin dynamic because light skin Aboriginals had their own problems dealing with White Australians back in the day it creates a commradery between dark skin light skin Aboriginals but colourism is also another aspect that happens too which is why I got a Uncle called Uncle Blacky because he was Black and another Uncle called Uncle Chalky because he was White it's a interesting dynamic
