Those aphids probably feel very safe.
Those ants are not just chasing the lady bugs, their even KILLING them!
It is not a safe place for ladybirds, I don't know why they keep coming, surely they would learn!

Otherwise they would stop coming to the aphids
For a more formal nest design, try extending the queens chamber to 19 tiles, then dig a hallway out side of the chamber leaving one or two entrances to the queens chamber. Dig hallways out from the corners of the hallway and you will be able to fit full 19 tile chambers.
Before making a full 19 worker nursery u should upgrade the 7 becuase then they can carry more food and are faster than the other bugs so they can run away faster
Yea you're right the extra speed would have helped in this instance, I kind of default to more ants=more food to start with
I do that every time i get 100% workers and then Just Run around the map and cuz they cant get attackt i can gather fish and aphids
when i saw this video i directly started to play empires of the undergrowth to try the same run. i reached 175% and by then almost all creatures dropped 1 food on death and by that point i actually wanted to see uber creatures more often cause they dropp the same amount of food every time (3000 food). but sadly no ubers came and i was just standing there with no food gain. by then i considered my run successful and stopped playing.

Hey Man! Could u try this nest design on free run? The design has been rolling around in my mind since i first found this game and became a jealous fan, having to actually play the game threw yours and other content creators videos..
NEST DESIGN: The queen is the closest chamber to the entrance, aside for the main engagement chamber coming off of the entrance! Use multiple food storage chambers! I feel that using more than just the one food store will only ensure that ur workers are able to get food to the queen and subsequent eggs during any nest invasion! And having the other ant chambers behind her doesn't really even lessen her safety as all of her brood will always be leaving the nest traveling right by her anyways.
I really believe that the multi food chambers will be the winning tactic that starts to be utilized more and more soon.

I definitely will be! No idea when it's coming though, they said it wouldn't take as long as the leaf cutters but that probably doesn't mean it's coming anytime soon unfortunately
Also go for ranged attackers before melee because u can use the workers as a meat wall and they cost less to hatch and can get to places faster then the ranged
That would be fine against some enemies, but something like the tiger beetle absolutely destroys workers, so I think it's useful to have some slightly more tanky melee ants out there.
I love this channel, it reminds me of Aavak(very dapper). Also, I think you should stream this game more often. Keep up the good work, Mantz!

You bought an ability for your workers that has a percent chance to nullify the beginning attack on a worker. It seems like the beetles aren't doing any damage because that percent chance keeps happening

if u increase difficulty it lowers how much enemies drop in food. if you play on anything other than constant the food will decrease the longer u play
Yes indeed, it does level out at some point, and more importantly ubers still always drop the same food.
world above nest is well built and looks pretty, but i absolutly hate they made nest 2D instead of focusing really having 3D nest where you can build it how you wish, relocate ur queen, play with termites, and so on.. this game has potential, but really need to be improved to have nest like Ant Queen 3D game.
It is better for you to stick with the more hexagonal chambers it doesn't have to be perfect hexagons plus can you play some formacarian levels on isane difficulty
For the actual missions I would be a lot more careful with the chamber sizes as foods a bit more limited, but in freeplay there's essentially endless food if you're strong enough to get it so no need to be conservative!
And I've considered doing insane missions but some of the hard ones took me quite a while to get through!

Couple of people have suggested a standard species with a limited enemy set, so I might look into that after this freeplay.

if he does a only worker challange then he needs to set the settings very very low on diffi and remove most strong creatures (especially attack waves and uber creatures gone) then he will need 3x damage insted of working faster and he needs damagereduction insted of dodge. but if he does all this then it might be possible

How do u get the leaf cutter ants in free play?
You need to unlock them in formicarium and then play as that formicarium colony (Use gene thief species)
As Crabi says, you only get the leaf cutter majors in freeplay.

The "Scooonty" round:
At 27:00 very angry for turning off their "attack". U have the shooters & u wasted them. 1 tiger beetle was about to die.
At 27:15 it's your chance to attack. That devil it's easy to defeat, plus some low health tigers. Bad decision to hold back.
At 28:37 u have 7 on each ants & full food but u still didn't thought of putting 1 "Major" yet. Come on, Man(Of The Antz).
To be honest, I want u to make some groups because it's kinda annoying for 1 group to go around while 1 spot or the others were ignored.
In order to get some food, spread out your groups.
Same simple tactic from the start but doing pretty good at the end.
