Al Horford received the Chris Paul treatment: people thought he was no longer good because of his contract. Like Paul, Horford is showing that he is still valuable with his contributions to a playoff team. He and Marc Gasol are the only two players to slow Joel Embiid down.
he still ain’t worth his contract
@@CrispiestMilo I never said he was. It's just that his bad contract shouldn't take away from the fact he's still a good player.
Embild and horford were never gonna fit. Idk what brand was thinking.
People called me crazy when I sais Al was the best player on ATL team! Shout out this Video! AL a real 1!
Al Horford one the most underrated players
I’ve always been a horford fan, glad to see he’s getting respect. Philly trading for him was sabotage.
Me too and he never even played for my favorite teams 😂
Big facts,he dogged it for my Sixers tho lol
It’s crazy that in this stage of his career that he can still be the best player on the floor for our team. He used to do it in his 1st stint with Boston and definitely the leader for ATL. I remember being pissed we traded for him after he left Boston…definitely eating my words now. Dude definitely deserves his flowers great all around undersized Center
This was a great in depth Horford video. We appreciate you Wilson Sy.
Thank you
Big Al became the most underrated PF of the 2010s, he's in my top 5 of the 2010s
He played center mostly
He always been a solid contributor 🔥
He’s honestly the reason the Celtics became good again. Think about it
Just like Paul Millsap, before he signed with the Nuggets they were mediocre for the most part and no one wanted to play there. It takes that one FA signing of a big star to potentially change the landscape of everything for years.
Fair point
Yeah man most definitely I agree you gotta have that player that does the work that other players don’t want to do in that case it’s Al horford he does things the stat sheet won’t have marked.
Thanks for making this video man ✌
Completely showed the MJ and mamba mentality
The last part is kinda crazy because horford is very athletic 😂😂 one of the fastest lateral bigs, crazy strength and good other physical attributes, should have said model it after his hustle and fundamentals
Ima Knicks fan but I can give horford his props every time…..guys Defintely have hard times scoring on him in the playoffs…..Definitely an elite Perimeter/interior defender….and can likely go off on the other end when asked to….much props to horford
Thanks appreciate everyone that’s my boy🏀👊🏿
It feels like Horford fits well with the C's plans. I wonder why he took OKC a few years earlier...
2019 against Bucks, Kyrie just like today, was an absolute travesty
Agreed.
Definitely better and more impactful than Ben Simmons
He's the most underrated player all around. People forgot he was putting numbers on OKC before they shut him down for the year. So glad he's back in Boston so he can play his game and show that he still has gas in the tank. And helping us get to the ECF while he's at it.
15:50 I know Al doesnt have much hops, but he's still athletic af. The mobility, laterally and in a straight line, at the size and strength, it's elite.
love seeing these type of videos
Great work bro
Thank you
Horford is the type of center a team needs rather there trying to make a playoff push or contending. Glad u made this video explaining how underrated horford was in the 2010s. I'm not surprised either what he did vs the bucks. Nothing new
When Wilson said Al Horford with a small pause, I thought he was going to say he was an absolute travesty.
Na NEVER him lol
He's good. He was on sub par or bad teams. He would have been had a ring if he was on a better team
Horford literally created the small ball 5 in Atlanta! The team was great because of him, a point center.
Love the video but the only thing I wanted to correct you on is that Kyle Korver was already a great player as well as a top 3 pt shooter. Currently ranked 5 On the all time 3 pt leaders list. Still Horford was the best person on that team. Just didn't want Korver to be discredited.
Korver made his only all star team because of all horford freeing him up on screens. great player lmao he was always a role player.
@@pikachureynolds1110 Saying that Korver was a great player is a reach. Being very good at only one thing isn't enough to make you a great player. Korver was good, but not great.
@@chrismathgenius I literally Said he's a role player.
Korver was good not great a great shooter but wasn’t able to do much else and definitely gained most of his success in ATL from Al and that system in general
@@pikachureynolds1110 so ur saying he was good because of hoford. Lol when he was always a 3pt shooter and good player.
watching it live rn dudes hoopin against gs💯
Appreciate it my man
Hall of Famer
13:01 reason why i am not a fan of Drummond even on his 20+ pts 15+ rbs days in Detroit.
I always view him as he has the body, the height to get those but he not really a star player.
And add to that, he has lots of questionable plays.
6:11 he said he had 58% from 3 pretty good for a pf/c
Only people who know basket knows
This video is over a year old but I just wanted to say at 2:50 you said the Celtics would beat the Celtics 😭😂
Just me or does he look a little like Phil Ivey?
Dude got handled by Tristan Thompson bruh couldn’t box out for shit.
Dirty defense but as long as the refs allow him to push people out of their drives .....there is nothing one can do.
Bro slow the f down, I'm having a haed time keeping up with all the stats and info you're throwing around lol. The Hawks had a lot of talent back in the day, weird how they never got close to s final.
