I'm amazed that you can look at raw piece of wood and see what you will turn it into be before you even start to work on it. A true gift. Your videos are very entertaining. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
Once again you have shown your creativity and love in being a “woodie” I have been watching your videos for a while now, and each just blows my mind. Mother Nature is proud of you ten fold.
Myrtle is definitely one of my favorites. Once I saw both pieces together, I saw an orchid. Now I can’t unsee it. Stunning, gorgeous piece of work. I absolutely love it.
I would give this to my future wife to house her ring, “ just like this wood I want our bond to grow old and blossom into something desirable despite the age” this is what I gather from this video if it were my possession to obtain. You stir emotion with your videos sir without a word “you have a strong positive spirit about you” thank you……..!
I've seen you make a lot of beautiful stuff, David. I do believe this one tops them all. And perhaps it's just my own prejudice, but I love the fact that no epoxy was used in the making of this masterpiece. Superb!
if you squint your eyes at the end, it looks like massive ethereal rings orbiting some great celestial needle that's remaining stationary. very incredible piece
That's the kind of project that is terrifying to do. Such a beautiful piece of wood that would be so easy to ruin with one slip. Fortunately you turned this one out beautifully.
Truly breathtaking, David! Watching you think out, adjust, create, and put on finishing touches to your creations is startling! That you could somehow see the transformation in your mind is beyond me. How does that happen? I’m guessing it’s years of experience plus an assortment of successes and failures along the way. It’s a family gift that’s been passed on for generations…..right? Thank you for sharing. It’s given me a bit of new perspective of the world around me…. especially after watching the “olive disaster.” I’m sure the price tag on these creations is exorbitant, so I’ll just keep on with your videos, of which I’ve only seen two so far! 😊
I'm GOING OUT on a LIMB to O"PINE" that this remnants of "EVER"GREEN SHRUBBERY NEVER looked so MAGNIFICENT. Your CRAFTSMANSHIP, David, RENEWED this DEPRIVED WORK of NATURE to an "EVER"LASTING PIECE with an ATTRACTION undeniable to MORTAL EXISTENCE.
You sir are an inspiration, I have started searching for classes, courses, instructional videos, and anything else I can find on this. I have the desire to learn this skill if it takes me 100 years to do it! Thank you for sharing your amazing talent.
Love that this is so relaxing while also being interesting and churning out cool ass art. Love these videos. Wood turning, metal forging and electronic restoration are the holy trinity of comfy watching.
Does anyone else watch these to go to sleep? I’ve been watching wood turning videos for the past couple months to fall asleep. I needed something new added to my ASMR, Bob Ross and rain sounds 😂
I had never heard of myrtle burr before. You made it not just to shine, and look beautiful: You made it stunning, gorgeous, and very desirable, all at the same time! Well done!
I was holding my breath through most of this because another piece like this flew apart. I'm intrigued trying to guess how you'll release the concept in your mind through your tools on the wood. I'm never disappointed. It makes me miss my sculpting days. Thank you!
Perfect choice of wood, beautiful veins, masterly execution and wonderful design! Great creativity. It is a privilege to be able to see how you transform something simple into something so fantastic. 👍🌹🌹
Again, another truly beautiful piece of art. Your imagination captivates my sense of Soul. Keep doing what you are doing; you are a Master of your craft ❣️
Just recently found your channel and have watched a handful of vids. I don't have the words to explain how absolutely beautiful your pieces are. I am in awe of your skill, craftsmanship, and artistry. Most of your pieces make me weep and I thank you for that. Love and blessings to you.
I get so happy every time you put out a new movie, were a bit afraid you had stopped a while back. You are such an amazing artist, not only as a craftsman but in the way you shoot and cut your movies. Thanks to you i bought my first lathe during the pandemic and started turning. You are my greatest inspiration! Keep up the great work Adam. Wish you all the best! Stig, Norway.
Hello! New subscriber here from the Caribbean!!!! Your work is stunning and an amazing demonstration of how true artists see the world so much differently to others. Please keep blessing us with your craftsmanship and attention to detail!😊
Dang Dave. Just lathe out a giant spike ball why don't ya. 😄 You're incredible though, really. Scary good. That dainty onion bulb. Wow 🤯 All Beautiful 😉🤜🤛
hello friends greetings healthy and successful always. thank you for sharing knowledge and always faithfully watching your latest stuff I like your ideas amazing
That is outstanding, David! Just every aspect of it, from design to finish. I've got my first lidded vessel near the top of my list, but not quite this elaborate. Thank you for giving us high targets to aim for.
What a joy it has been to watch your work for the last 2 years. The woodwork, as always, is fantastic. Your attention to detail following the shape and grain is exquisite. Your photography for this piece really took my breath away. The angles, the closeups of the tip of the tool, the depth of field, the sharpness. It wasn't until it was over that I realized your camera and the tool tip took turns shaping the wood. You're a master :). Awesome! Thanks Adam!
I add a WOW to that too! You did highlight the graceful curve very well on the burl and with the finial. The colour contrast too! Dare I say it... this is an organic and sensual piece of art. 🙏
I'm very impressed with the shape and I'll have to agree that it really is reminiscent of a Hershey kiss, David! The grain is exquisite and you really made the most of it, I think. The little feet are a nice touch. I also noticed that you've gone back to using pyrography. Great job, as always, David!
Watching you perform such great works of art with only a lathe and some wood chisels is so much fun. I can never guess the shape of your finials until you're done, although I always try. Thanks David. Your work is of great inspiration to me.
It took me a while to get it bit the shape was that like a Hershey Kiss candy. Love the contrast colors of the wood. That dark rich color is so eye alluring. Very stunning piece that God has blessed your creative mind with.
From down under, as always, magnificent.
Myrtle is definitely one of my favorites.
Once I saw both pieces together, I saw an orchid. Now I can’t unsee it.
Stunning, gorgeous piece of work. I absolutely love it.
I'm speechless. Thank you for sharing! You truly have a talent.
Thanks Melissa!
Фантастически чудесное видео!! Искренне благодарен за доставленное удовольствие видеть РАБОТУ МАСТЕРА!! УСПЕХА!!
Your turnings are like a good picture show. You never know how the ending will be but you know it will amaze you. Inspirational as always.
I've seen you make a lot of beautiful stuff, David. I do believe this one tops them all. And perhaps it's just my own prejudice, but I love the fact that no epoxy was used in the making of this masterpiece. Superb!
Thanks! I’m trying to make some resin-free stuff now and then.
Gorgeous wood. Beautifully and skillfully made.
It absolutely does look like a Hershey's Kiss! Your wife is obviously a very smart and fortunate woman.
I am definitely getting the feel of your older work with this one. It reminds me of why I fell in love with your work to begin with. Beautiful!
Thank you so much, Bethany!
Just in case no one mentions it, your camera work is just as good as your lathe skills! I loved watching both!!!
Thanks so much!!
if you squint your eyes at the end, it looks like massive ethereal rings orbiting some great celestial needle that's remaining stationary. very incredible piece
Very cool comment. Thanks!!
Absolutely beautiful wood grain. The finial placed inside is different, I like it.
I loved it up until the finial, which I thought looked contrived, extraneous and misplaced and ruined the piece. My opinion only.
That's the kind of project that is terrifying to do. Such a beautiful piece of wood that would be so easy to ruin with one slip. Fortunately you turned this one out beautifully.
Your ability to bring the woods beauty to the forefront is excellent. Great job!!!
I knew looking at that burl in the intro that this would be something amazing and it is! You never fail to create beauty.
Thank you, Dave!
As always, in awe of what you see in a lump of wood like you started with.
Truly breathtaking, David! Watching you think out, adjust, create, and put on finishing touches to your creations is startling! Wow I could never afford these beautiful pieces but what an awe inspiring event to be here watching thank you so much💕💕
I know a lot of your incredible pieces: wonderful each one. What about a woodturning cube? That would be the crown of your work!!!
Absolutely fascinating! The combination of form and timbers is a wonderful synchronicity. Thank you so very much for sharing!

under that fire inside your heart. sawdustbob. r2t2

Wow, it has a flair of modern / contemporary, one thing I’m sure of is that piece as other pieces belong in a art gallery.
It's even more beautiful then it was before you started. It's like a bloomed into a flower.
Thank you, Eddie!
Wow - with every video I watch, my need to have a try working with a lather becomes even stronger!!
A beautiful piece beautifully turned. Well done David 👏
About the prettiest thing Ive ever seen. Thank you.
WOW! Wood poetry! That's so metaphoric. I see mankind rising above a sea of discontent. I'll give a buck for that! Cudos brother.

Thank you so much, Lucy! It's my first time trying the 3 foot carving. Definitely easier than it seems!
Watching you perform such great works of art with only a lathe and some wood chisels is so much fun. I can never guess the shape of your finials until you're done, although I always try. Thanks David. Your work is of great inspiration to me.
Thanks so much, Fred!!
Amazing! I don’t get tire of watching your creative genius….the beauty is beyond compare
