I am a new subscriber and enjoyed your video so much, being an Indonesian I used to visit Singpore often but now been staying in Milan for almost 10 years, I missed a lot walking in Singapore. Thank you for your videos, wishing your channel much success
Consider taking the MRT - the green East West line will go to Raffles Place and you can walk to boat quay from there. Any bus, such as route 24 or route 36 will involve changing somewhere to get to boat quay.
Hi new susbcriber. First time to visit singapore maybe we will arrive about 10pm. Is it still advisable use mrt? We will be going to out hotel located at Chinatown.
Yes you can still use the MRT if you arrive around 10pm. Try to get to the Changi Airport MRT station before 11pm (Singapore immigration and baggage collection are very fast - it usually takes me 15-20 minutes after my flight lands to collect my bag). Depending on which part of Chinatown you are staying in, it's likely better to use the Downtown Line (blue) to get to your hotel. You would board the train at Changi Airport station, then change to the Downtown line at Expo station. This train would stop at Chinatown and Telok Ayer MRT stations which will probably be near your hotel.
hello, im new to your channel. I've been to singapore once last April. I'll be back with my fam this Nov but our flight will be arriving around 11pm almost 12. What do you recommend we ride to the city? I know the taxis there are a bit expensive specially at night. I wanna save even a lil bit so 😅
Hi! That timing is tough. The last train is 11.18pm, and the last bus is around 11:58pm (a bit risky if you're arriving at almost 12). Unless you want to wait until 6am, I think taxi would be the only way to get to the city.
Hi! A 60 cents per day charge is added when you use a foreign credit card on public transport in Singapore. This is regardless of how many trips you make. If you make one trip, it will charge 60 cents; if you make 10 trips, it's still only 60 cents added. The fee covers the cost of foreign currency exchange for the Singapore operator.

We just used buses and trains with no problem at all. Great public transport system.
there is no direct train from airport to city. pls alight at tanah merah (the 2nd stop after expo) and change to another train towards city...
The blue line brings to you straight to the city

Hi there, In terms of foreign credit card /debit card, how much extra money will be deducted in MRT and buses.

i have lloyds card from the uk. its is a debit visa. would it work in singapore in trains and buses
This should work for Singapore trains and buses. Some banks may block transactions like this, though I doubt Lloyds would.
@reachingsingapore i have also got starling bank card which is mastercard
It would be nicer if you speak slower (from the feeling of a non-native english audience). Thanks for the video 👍🏻🇸🇬
The next train is coming in 5 mins time and he has to hurry.
