Tucson offers a number of segment-first exclusive features including:
Remote Smart Park Assist
Remote Smart Park Assist allows owners to park and retrieve their Tucson from the tightest of parking spaces from outside the vehicle, a very convenient feature. Before a driver attempts to load passengers or luggage, the remote parking function can prove particularly useful, bringing the vehicle out of a tight space. The driver simply uses the smart key to drive the SUV forward or backward, into or out of a parking space, garage or any tight parking situation.
Remote Start with Heated and Ventilated Seats
Remote Start uses a cellular data connection via the Blue Link app that allows an owner to warm up or cool down the Tucson remotely. This remote heating and cooling function includes heating and ventilation for the front seats.
Digital Key
Digital Key is a segment-exclusive feature, supported via a dedicated smartphone app. The Hyundai Digital Key app also allows smartphones to control selected vehicle systems remotely. Users can lock and unlock the vehicle, activate the panic alert and start the engine. Digital Key allows owners to leave traditional keys at home and allows secure sharing of keys with family and friends. Digital Key is currently compatible only with phones using the Android operating system.
Wireless Android Auto® and Apple CarPlay®
Tucson now offers an eight-inch color touchscreen coupled with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto® to make staying connected easier than ever. Wireless pairing automatically connects an Android or Apple smartphone, so the driver can keep their phone in a pocket, backpack or purse. Owners can also conveniently drop it on an available Qi wireless charger.
If you're parked so close you have to squeeze in and out, you're going to have door dings from hell.
Isnt that with any car
If someone pulls in really close to you with their passenger side to your driver side you could pull out if they don’t have a passenger in their vehicle you won’t have door dings
Can you open and close the windows from the phone app? Can you do it with the car running?
I sometimes leave the dog in the car with the AC on but my Tucson now won't lock the doors when I leave with the Key fob to keep him safe. I have to remove the key from the fob and do it manually.
Can I have a link to download the app and does it work in Europe?
Also does it work with iOS?

Yes, exactly! They really should be more clear about that. Same in their advertising. Although, I got the SEL with convenience and premium packages and I do have cooled seats, which I wanted!!
With auto hold, do the rear brake lights stay on or go off if you remove your foot? I’m concerned about people taking advantage and being lazy but not being able to see they have brakes on. Seems like if the car is holding the lights should remain lit

I've had the Limited for a couple months and I'm still finding out cool features to this day. They explained some stuff at the dealership but I wasn't paying too much attention 😂 I just wanted to drive my new car!

I love mine .. it’s the unlimited model and comes with everything. On a long road trip we took it got as much as 49 MPG.
I don’t have a hybrid, but I can open my garage with MyQ, then auto start my car with blue link , and warm car in winter while getting dressed (only if heat is preset to on before turning my car off). Just wished It could back out of the garage remotely. Park assist only works within 5 feet of the car, meaning I have to stand in cold within 5 feet of the car….. I just wished Blue link could back my car out of my garage. I can park good myself, I try to park away from heavy parked areas. Can this Park assist park in a tight space along the curb???

There’s no a Digital Key for iOS so I think the NFC Key card is a good alternative.

Sadly - it’s wired. Be excuse (IMO) to have wired CarPlay in 2023

I was leaning hard towards this vehicle thinking I could get over the turn signals being on the bumper but be aware, the hazard lights are also indicated on the bumper which is unacceptable.

ANY electronic device can go dead LOL! Carry the fob or there is also an actual old fashioned key inside the fob that will open the car via a hidden keyhole in the event the fob won't work. You can use someone else's phone to call Hyundai Blue Link, give them your pin & they can unlock your car for you. Anyone using their phone as a key linked to the car has Blue Link service.
the purpose of using the smartphone apps is to avoid carrying the fob.
@@rogerip4183 Yeah, but the battery in a key fob lasts for years and the one in a phone doesn't.
I won't worry too much abiut the battery because you charge it daily to keep your phone active 24x7. people tend to get rid of their wallet so the phone guys develop all these pay apps. I use the bank app to withdraw from the atm without the bank card.
