You are a fuckin Genius bro! Its so awesome to watch your face and bodylanguage and laughing when you play. You feel and express what you play and thats an awesome gift...nobody can learn to play impro in such a way, its in your blood! Keep going bro!
I have to admit that at first i needed some time to get used to your unique playing stile, but now im addicted to it. Soo much feeling, kinda smooth and jumpy at the same time. I love it! Hope to hear more from you soon!
Wow!! You just made my day!! What a great performance! And with the singing! Just Perfect! I wanna play just like you! (started this year piano lessons) thank you =D
You sound and look like a younger version of my old elementary music teacher haha. He came in during jazz band to play piano and your voice is just like his. You're both great at piano too haha
So much feeling and emotion in a single performance, incredible :) My style is totally different, It would be great if you'd give some tips or advice. I'm playing by ear, improvisations as well. Anyway, great video, thank you very much!
Very nice Mike. Not familiar with this song. I could have sworn that you said it was written by "Johnny Manziel", as in the football player, but I was thinking that can't be, I must have heard wrong, so i googled it, and it's Johnny Mandel. LOL.
Checked you out at the suggestion of a friend from Quora.com. I have to confess to be being a fan of Bill Evans ... Time Rembered' a tune to die for, and just about anything from Herbie Hancock. But I was delighted to hear you here. Shades of Fats Waller! Stride is in your bones, is it not?
I have a Chick Corea documentary about the history of Jazz piano, and he just glows over Fats, with good reason. His mugging and playing of 'Ain't Misbehaving' alone is an icon of Americana. One funny anecdote from the era was during a gig while Fats was wowing the crowd, he briefly paused in his performance and announced; 'I'm just a piano player, but tonight, God has walked into the house.' It was Art Tatum. Not too many of them guys walking around, but it's just as well, I'd probably be blind, deaf, and dumbstruck by that much light ;-) Will get back to enjoying your particular hues of sunshine. Take care, buddy!
it feels so great to see you so much happy with your piano!
please continue what you are doing, you're incredible!
