- A how-to video on replacing the cassette drive belts in two different models of Worlds Of Wonder Teddy Ruxpin from 1985. One has the metal tape deck inside and the other has the cream coloured plastic type.
I collect teddy Ruxpins too and grubbys and all the other talking toys by worlds of wonder I love your videos 😊
Thank you for this video. I purchased a Teddy Ruxpin a few weeks ago, and I recently received a tape to test with and discovered that the motor doesn’t spin well. I think it’s the belts, so I will give it a try and see.
Awww! Your grubby is adorable!
8:50 this could be a meme And is the best thing i ever seen
Thanks to you I successfully replaced my Teddy's drive belt and now he’s finally working again!
Hi thank you your video helped me fix my original 1985 first generation teddy ruxpin he works excellent and his eyes and mouth move up and down i gently moved his eyes and mouth up and down i helped all three servos get connection and he works excellent
Dude,….. thank you so much,… I knew I had seen this video previously, and am stuck on trying to diagnose what’s preventing power from getting to the board, on a Rev E model, after eliminating that the pot switch on the back wasn’t the culprit, try to get to the tape door sensor to either fix or bypass it altogether, and got stuck on getting the plastic housing apart. Aside from the necessary repairs, it is superficially in otherwise near mint condition, and was afraid of breaking that tape head cover tab, but now I know, that’s basically the only way.
Again, thank you so much. This video is very helpful.
what is the size of the pressure roller of the cassette player!?
Nice job saving saving that original 1985 first generation teddy ruxpin
I love this channel ❤️
And omg that grubby joke was hilarious!
my grubby really ate my rubber band bracelet... true.. i freaked out.... but it made me laugh so hard
What size is the drive belt
Where do you get the drive belts for the cassette player
Sir. where did you buy the drive belts for the Metal Back Teddy ruxpin? I have looked every where. please help. thanks. Colt
I did a search on ebay for "44mm drive belt" or "32mm drive belt". You may have to settle for something close or wait a while till the correct size is listed. Make sure that the cross section is roughly 1mm (I got 1.1). Up to 1.2mm is probably OK. Good luck
hi friend what is the size of the teddy strap belts for plastic teddy!?
thanks thanks thanks for uploading this :) hahaha the grubby drinking made me flipping laugh :) - geez you make this look so easy - Its finely good to see someone finely fixing these teddy ruxpins right. - this is amazing work!!! - WOW what a shock at the end of this video i finely got to see the handy man behide the cam - Thanks again for uploading this video request from me. :) - Im sure this video will be handy and i will save it :) - is there really a way to unstick the gears with out moving the eyes or opening the bear up??? Good question id like it know???
Great Video. Thank you for a great guide on how to fix TR. I just wondered if you could help with the Red wire form the motor as it has come of thievery small PCB and i cannot see where to solder it back. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Can you also do a 43,5 mm belt for the plastic tapeplayer teddy??
Where can you purchase the drive belts for the 'metal' cassette player and the plastic player as well. These are very hard to find. Thank you for the help1

By the way, like I've said, I have a teddy Ruxpin doll too from 1985. He's version one with the metal cassette and his upper mouth fell off and I put it back on temporarily but I don't know if I have to take him apart and glue it back on. What should I do?

@@patricksavage922 yea he is litteraly a child why is he using that language
I have a teddy whose cassette left wheel turns, Sometimes I can get cassettes to work for a brief second but then they do nothing. Any ideas?
Two pins located near the take-up spindle on the back, above the white gear that turns it. When it gets dirty, it fails to sense that the reel is moving (it constantly pushing the pins back & forth to send an electrical pulse as it moves is how it senses this) , hence why it goes into auto-stop if it doesnt. Get some isopropyl alcohol and/or (depending on the condition of the pins) some white vinegar and clean any dirt or corrosion off. Should work fine after that.
Another thing to check is the yellow wire located tear the metal tab above the pulley that runs the tape deck. Check to make sure that has a solid soldered connection. That can also cause the playback not to work properly.
If those two things don’t work. Push/bend the pins slightly towards to the right towards the diamond shape on the gear that helps move the pins. May be that it’s just not getting a good enough connection. Hope this helps. Let me know if you get it working after that.
@@inspiredfigmentsarchives I will try all you suggested. TY very much.
Hello I have a 2nd generation TR with a plastic cassette deck. Where can I get the drive belts?

GRUBBY! WHAT HAVE I TOLD YOU ABOUT THAT?! THATS NOT FOR DRINKING!!
I have a teddy but it won't move its moth I think the drive belt has been disconnected from the moto
Why is the 2 servo one have the foam exposed
1995? did you mean 1985?
I have a 1983 2 ervo Teddy Ruxpin and the eye servo is constantly operating in an erratic manner, any ideas what it could be?
My understanding is that Teddy's twitch may be the result of the potentiometer in the motor failing, and as far as I know, the only fixes for that are to rebuild or replace the problem servo. The potentiometer feeds back the approximate position of the mouth to the electronics, and when it starts to fail, you get that twitching, because it doesn't know quite where it is anymore.
Why is the 2 Servo motor have no skin did you take off the foam body and all videos did you take the foam off is that why the other Teddy is all yellow
my teddy so jealous I needs a third gen bear
And the 1985 works but the YES teddy does not
where u location at

My mickey wont stay on and his casette player wont work, can anyone help?
@Olivia Collier-Sadoski that sucks:( thanks you for keeping me updated in the future:)
@Olivia Collier-Sadoski I opened him up, I think he has the same problem as yours! Mine wont turn the tape either, he only had the power to do it once, Ill buy a new curcut board:)
Not the circuit board… it’s two pins in the cassette player near the gears that drive the spindle/take-up reel. Clean those and make sure they’re both bent to the right near where they fit the diamond shaped piece that spins as it plays. That’s how it senses the tape is still playing vs the auto-stop function.
That's the third generation teddy ruxpin he has the hinged swing down door he has two servos the first generation has the metal cassette player and 3 servos the second generation has the plastic tape player and three servos
I don’t like it I just don’t
Why is he doing that. he is being so evil to teddy ruxpin
cappy so he should leave him broken?
