How we create flowers for a winter wedding with all British flowers

  • The British flowers season supplies year round. At my small flower farm I may choose to grow for harvest between April and October, but my Cornish colleagues supply their locally grown flowers all year round. Join me as I create three different looks: for my regular hotel client, a small party with autumnal flowers, and with jewel colours for a wedding at magnificent Elizabethan country house ‪@northcadburycourtuk‬
Wedding flowers at this time of year must reflect the season and not try to be too summery nor Christmassy either. I hope we achieve the objective with these jewel colours and gorgeous autumn foliage.

Those flowers are absolutely gorgeous, and the colors are perfection. I might have thought that bright blue would fight with it, but it actually kind of makes it. Adding the feverfew was brilliant. W
    Very well done 💚

Wonderful! Thank heavens I found you whilst desperately looking for inspiration for a late January wedding bouquet. BTW, I think we share a friend - Amanda Russel? Anyway, back to the point. I faff with flowers for my own home, but my friend has asked me to make a small rustic wedding bouquet for her wedding at the very end of the month. This has sent me into a bit of a spin. The brief is very loose, and I have no other instructions other than pheasant feathers and rustic. I believe even at this time of year I could make something similar to this bridal bouquet (far more amateur but along the lines of). This type of bouquet mirrors my own style. Even the hedgerows are sparse at this time of year, but I think it might be possible. Would you agree? Do you have any pointers for a late January wedding? I am wondering whether to buy some English tulips. What do you think? The wedding dress is bright blue with navy blue shoes and she fancies pheasant feathers in the bouquet. Any tips or tricks would be gratefully received. With thanks Louisa.

well hello there! Yes Amanda's a great buddy. Don't panic about the wedding. Look for lovely things you think will work well in her posy and enjoy yourself. Imagine you were making it for yourself - if you like it and would carry it she will too xxx deff add pheasant pheathers phor phun xxx

When you say "British flowers" do you mean "British grown" or "British species" I wonder.
