Charming, delightful, whimsical, of course beautiful and ever so educational. Honestly Georgie, you are such a delight and you make me homesick for England, of all places. I want to buy you a thousand coffees, I have to find someone to show me how to do that. God, I remember when they taught me to drink tea in Studley at the Old Barley Mow. Boiling hot so it seared my German throat. That was in 1956. No one drank coffee then!
Hi from NZ Georgie. I watch your lovely calming videos while I work as a graphic designer from home. You are such great company, and I love your knowledge and creativity. Of course your garden and flowers are amazing.
Wow, loved this! I have never dried flowers and didn't really know how to do it properly. I had a vague idea you hang them up somehow. This was very informative and extremely enjoyable to watch. Thank you for a lovely video!
I feel the same as you concerning dried flowers. However, you have made me look at them in a different light. Thank you. I love your sense of humor. You make me laugh. Thank you again for the video.
From Miss Donna Marie Baff I think the wreath is lovely, and will sit beautifully in so many situations. Be your own best client Georgie. Thankyou... Fashion changes Style remains Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel 19/8/1883 - 10/1/1971 Whom died one Sunday in January 1971. Chanel No.5 Woman with personality
So informative as ever, also have you ever thought of stand up comedy? have been through some tough times and you make me laugh while at the same time furthering my passion for flowers and garden designs thank-you very much .☺xx.
That’s Pearly Everlasting at 17:02. It’s native where I live in California and I’ve begun to cultivate it too for wreaths. Thank you so much for taking the time to create such enrolling content.
Hello there. You have a very engaging personality (and very funny at times)which is perfect for videos. I thoroughly enjoy the videos you upload. Your arrangements are truly beautiful. Best wishes. 🌺
When you take us out to your gardens….I feel like I’m in the English countryside…. I just grow flowers for me but I’m always glad to tag along with you.
The white button flower you didn’t know the name of is Pearly Everlasting, Anaphalis margaritacea. It is a roadside weed in Canada and probably the US also.
Can you tell me please what green things on the top shelf next to Modigliani portrait of women behind you? Your background in the studio looks so pleasing for eyes.
I'm not sure anyone else would be interested in this topic but in a previous video you mentioned that you were once messy but learned to be tidy. I'm always intrigued by self improvement stories and would love to learn more if it ever ties into something you are already doing. I have noticed you have quite a good head game for getting tasks done. In particular, rather than feeling over whelmed you seem to break down tasks into smaller more manageable tasks which you then plan to do quite quickly. I find if I tell myself the task is huge and don't break it down into bits nothing gets done at all. But if I tell myself 'This should take 10 minuites' often it does take 10 minutes or even if it takes a little longer at least it gets done. Giving yourself permission to take short cuts and actively looking for them takes the pressure off as does having good routines that you don't have to think about.
I absolutely loved this video, and I adore your beautiful studio!! I have a small shop and garden in Eastern Kentucky, USA and I always dry my herbs and flowers and live to not only sell the bunches, but love to make dried wreaths. It was such a fun surprise to find this video!! I loved everything about it. Your wreath turned out lovely ❤️🌻
Great wreath, wonderful especially with the Raffia!! I am soooo glad to see you as much keeping care of environment as I do. I don't know anyone else being as consequent with that, especially in flower business, and it makes me feel so much better, less alone and much more hopeful!! Thank you!! ❤
Thankyou once again Georgie. Definitely going to dry some flowers now. Always drying herbs but not flowers and the Artemesia will be going in my garden as we've been noticing clothes moths about. Finding little holes in things which is so annoying. Your wreath is stunning as are all your creations xx
Another great vlog. I am a fresh flower person too, but I do love the dried wreaths. I have a small garden shed and I’ve been hanging small bunches from the rafters and yes I do hit my head on them , this was so inspiring, thank you!
Great information again Georgie very straightforward and easy to understand. Do you collect your own seed or purchase new seed each year? Beautiful wreath I will definitely try my hand at it for Christmas. We are in the last month of winter in Australia so when my garden is full in summer I will harvest and dry. 😊 Thank you.
This is so pretty! I am not a flower farmer but am attempting to create a low maintenance suburban garden with flowers I can pick year round. It's trickier than you might think. I am living in Melbourne which has temperate weather and clay soil like yours. However, the soil is nutrient poor and to grow almost anything other than weeds you need to heap on bags of good soil, compost and manure. I have tried chucking on some dynamic lifter pellets but it doesn't do enough to loosen up the soil so that plants can grow. Do you use seed raising mix for seeds? I find when sprinkling seeds in the ground that a layer of good topsoil, with some zoo poo and mushroom compost is better. Often when I pot up seeds in seed raising mix it is not so successful.
I start most seeds in good peat-free compost in trays and plant out into well-mulched beds - we get through about sixteen tons of mulch a year here to keep our beds in good heart xxx

Beautifully done.. looking forward to making them.❤
Thanks so much 😊 x
Do you stick the flowers in the vine or do you tie them in the vine?
if you watch the clip you'll see the whole process I think x

Beautiful wreath I will definitely try my hand at it for Christmas. We are in the last month of winter in Australia so when my garden is full in summer I will harvest and dry. 😊 Thank you.
I buy a lot of new seed as I like to change what I grow but save some too x
Does drying the flowers on the wreath make them dry more slowly or more likely to develop rot?
They dry nicely in the wreath xxx
@@theflowerfarmer Thank you for the response!
Thank you great video. What did you attach the flowers to the vine with? Was it wire ? Going to have a go this year 👍🏻
I try and avoid wire so this was all made with raffia x

Thanks, I love these clips! Did you find the name of the Sea Holly?
I think it's blue glitter x
Do you ever dry your Dahlias?
not in quantity - but sometimes use them in autumn wreaths and they dry nicely into the wreath - especially pompons x
How much money would you charge for such a wreath?
too much to make them commercially x
